Maybe I'm being overdramatice here, but this is simply the most wonderful thing I've ever smelled in my life.

Lip Treatments -Fresh - Sugar Rose Lip Treatment SPF 15

I love the smell (reminescent of raspberry lemonade!) and how it feels and I also love the healthy looking tint it gives my lips. I can't justify the price, though, so I won't be buying it again. Back to the Cherry Chapstick for me when this tube runs out! :)

Moisturizers -Josie Maran Cosmetics - Argan oil
TracyDZ 2/16/2012 11:42:00 AM
I bought this on a whim with an eye toward using it somehow on my hair. Since it's currently almost to my waist and I plan to keep it long, I try to keep it healthy and split-end free. What I ended up doing is putting my damp hair into two ponytails and rubbing the argan oil from the ends of the hair to about two inches up. (the reason I put in ponytails was to make my hair easier to work with. I took them out immediately after so they're not really an important part of this review!) After the first time I tried this, the ends of my hair have felt and looked so healthy and smooth! It dries quickly into the hair and never feels greasy. Now I use this after every shampoo; highly recommended!

Lipstick -J. Crew Beauty - Poppy King for J. Crew lipstick
TracyDZ 1/20/2012 11:13:00 AM
I was obsessed with this lipstick; looking everywhere only to find that it was always sold out. My curiousity was satisfied, though, when my sister decided she didn't care for hers and traded me for it. "Jackpot!", I thought! Eh, not so much. There isn't much "oomph" to this lipstick. I thought it would be bolder. izzybella is right; if you want a bold, orangey/red lip NARS Red Square or Jungle Love is a much better choice. I do have to add, though, that my 16 year old daughter loves it. It does look very nice on her (blonde hair, blue eyes, olive skintone) as it appears sheer. Maybe this product is best left to the kids! :)

Lipstick -MAC - Viva Glam Cyndi [DISCONTINUED]
TracyDZ 4/8/2010 3:05:00 PM
On a recent trip to the MAC counter, my daughter bought the Viva Glam GaGa and I knew I had to represent the, ahem, older generation so I got the Viva Glam Cyndi for myself. I am so glad I did! This is a beautiful, not-quite-sheer red that just perks up my complexion! Wear it with MAC's Brick lip pencil and a cat eye and you'll be all set for an evening out. Layer it on top of a little bit of lip balm, and you have a great just bitten look for daytime. I can't say this enough, "Buy it; you'll love it!"

Lipstick -MAC - Satin Lipstick in Twig
TracyDZ 4/8/2010 2:59:00 PM
I bought this because I had a $20 Nordstrom Bucks certificate burning a hole in my pocket; so it was pretty much an impulse buy. I like this lipstick! It is a fairly neutral brown/pink with a medium pigment intensity. On me, it looks best with a bare face and brown mascara. Not HG material, but a nice, reliable staple to have in your makeup drawer.

Treatments (Eye) -Unlisted Brand - Unrefined Shea Butter
TracyDZ 3/11/2010 8:30:00 AM
Shea butter is the unsung hero of skin products. I buy L'Occitane's shea butter in the large tin for $39.00 and it lasts a long time because, really, you only need a little bit! It's great as a lip balm. I pat it on underneath my eyes before I go to sleep and it makes that delicate skin smooth and supple. I scoop some up and rub it into the ends of my hair and let it soak in for a few hours then wash and condition normally. The result is no more "fried looking" ends on your hair. It is a wonderful hand cream provided you have a few minutes to let it sink in. Moisturizes feet, elbows and knees and anywhere else your skin is thirsty! I even use it on my face which, miracle of miracles, has never, not once broken out from it. Highly, highly recommended. A staple on my vanity!

Eye Shadow -Chanel - Quatuor Boutons De Chanel Les Folies Noires
TracyDZ 11/4/2009 1:50:00 AM
I was disappointed in how sheer, even for Chanel, the shadows were. Not even my trusty MAC 242 brush was picking up any pigment and THAT baby works for everything! I ended up returning it to Nordstrom because $60 is way too much to pay for a product that just takes up space in my makup bureau.

Lotions/ Creams -L'Occitane - 100% Pure Shea Butter
TracyDZ 10/27/2009 9:13:00 PM
Count me on the Shea Butter bandwagon! This is a wonderful, scent-free product that comes hard packed in a generously sized tin. You need to warm you fingers and scoop it out then it melts onto wherever you apply it. And you can apply it pretty much everywhere! I put it under my eyes and it is the best eye cream I have ever used. Lips? Leaves 'em smooth and a letting it sit whe you do the rest of your face then wiping off all but a trace guarantees that your lipstick goes on smoothly. Got dry feet? Wash and pumice them, then generously apply the Shea Butter and cover overnight with cotton socks. Yowza! It makes a world of difference. The most amazing place I tried it and was thrilled with the outcome was my hair. My hair is halfway down my back and the ends are pretty dry. I rubbed some Shea Butter into the ends of my wet hair, blew dry and they were so soft! Not sticky or hard at all. I love this product and personally think everyone should have a tub! Sephora and Nordstrom both carry this and they have tremendous return policies, so what do you have to loose?

Mascara -Christian Dior - Diorshow Mascara
TracyDZ 10/27/2009 1:59:00 AM
I'm so torn about this product! It goes on rich and creamy and makes my lashes look like "WOW". But after a few weeks the product started to dry out. Thinking it was a fluke, I returned it (luv ya Nordies!) but a few weeks later the replacement was clumping away as well. Honestly, though, if I could afford to buy and replace this every two weeks, I would. It looks that good on!

Eye Shadow -Chanel - Les 4 Ombres-Vanites Quad
TracyDZ 10/27/2009 1:55:00 AM
I always had a tough time picking up enough pigment on my Chanel eyeshadows until a very wise woman on another site told me about the MAC 242 brush. Give that one a try, I think you'll be happy with the results!

Mascara -Kiss Me - Kiss Me Mascara
TracyDZ 10/1/2006 8:02:00 PM
Lengthens? Check. Thickens? Check. Long lasting? Check. Smudgefree? Check. Pretty darn perfect, if you ask me! It IS a bit overpriced, but it is an excellent product that does what it promises. I've paid just as much for mascara that was horrible!

Treatments -Skin Biology - CP Serum
TracyDZ 4/24/2006 10:26:00 AM
I am very happy with the results I've gotten with this product. After using it for about a week, twice a day, my facial skin feels tighter and smoother and my pores look smaller. Also, my skin tends toward ruddiness but this procuct has really helped tone that down. I should warn, though, that some people's skin just won't tolerate this product very well. I have exceptionally hardy skin (I do a 40% glcolic peel every two weeks so that should give you some idea how hardy) so I'm very happy with it. One more thing, the smell is not very pleasant but it doesn't last long anyway.

Treatments (Eye) -Clean & Clear - Under Eye Brightening Stick
TracyDZ 5/23/2005 3:27:00 PM
Felt nice and cool upon application, but that is pretty much all it has going for it. Oh, and I liked the packaging. It did nothing for the dark circles under my eyes except for highlight them. Shiny purple circles, anyone??? lol When it dried, the area felt tacky and sticky. I'm glad it was cheeap; I didn't feel guilty throwing it away.

Palettes -Bobbi Brown - "Ski Slopes" Color Palette For F
TracyDZ 8/16/2004 1:21:00 PM
If I could give this product higher than a "5", I would. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! The colors are all extremely wearable and look very "healthy" on. Know how we call certain lippies "your lips but better?" Well, this palette is "your FACE but better"! I cannot recommend this highly enough. Run, not walk, to your nearest BB counter and scoop this up before it's gone! *No, I have no connection to Bobbi Brown Cosmetics. I am just blown away by this product! :)
