Conditioner -Matrix - Biolage - Conditioning Balm
rated 5 of 5

This is my HG conditioner - I am IN LOVE with it. I came across a sample of this stuff and didn't expect much. But when I used it, I could REALLY tell a difference because my hair was left feeling so soft, smooth, and moisturized. After that, I didn't hesitate to buy a full-sized tube of this great conditioner. I've been using it for about a month and a half and my hair is in great condition. I'd really recommend this to anyone :)

Lotions/ Creams -Udderly Smooth - Hand Cream
rated 4 of 5
ToxicBailey 12/28/2008 8:45:00 PM

Udderly Smooth is probably the best hand cream I've ever tried! It moisturizes very well and leaves my hands feeling soft, smooth, and moist. I love how it is so inexpensive too (4.50 on drugstore.com, for a big 12 oz. tub). For some reason, I really like the concept of using "udder cream", and the jar is pretty cute too. One thing I don't like about it, though, is that it is slightly watery. Other than that, it's a really nice hand cream! =)

Eye Shadow -NYX - Iced Mocha
rated 5 of 5
ToxicBailey 12/27/2008 9:23:00 PM

I can't beleive I haven't reviewed this one yet- Iced Mocha is one of my top 3 favorite eyeshadows (if not THE best eyeshadow I own!). Anyways, it's a cool shimmery taupe color that looks great just on its own. On days when I'm in a hurry, I just slap on some eye primer and use a clean finger to apply it on my eyelid. It looks great; very natural and pretty :) I highly recommend this!

Top/Base Coats -Sally Hansen - Hard as Wraps - Acrylic Gel
rated 4 of 5
ToxicBailey 12/19/2008 3:18:00 PM

(I would give this four and a half if I could) Sally Hansen hard as wraps is pretty good stuff. I use the one in the blue bottle and it really does make my nails harder. Whenever I have this on my nails, I notice instantly that they don't bend nearly as much. They feel ALOT harder and not anything like the soft bendy nails that I have. After using this for a few weeks, my nails are noticeably harder. I'll keep using this; I am pretty amazed by it!

Lotions/ Creams -Jergens - Shea Butter Skin Enriching Moisturiser
rated 5 of 5
ToxicBailey 12/13/2008 1:04:00 PM

This is my ultimate HG of body lotions. I've tried a bunch, but none come close to my Jergens Shea Butter lotion. I bought a huge 21-oz. bottle of it sometime last year- it was the first body lotion that I've ever finished. I don't know why, but I didn't repurchase it until a few months after I finished my original bottle. So a couple of days ago, I bought another big bottle of it (for only $5.69!) Anyways, this lotion is just AMAZING. It has a nice almond-like buttery scent to it, and is non-greasy. When I apply it, it feels thicker than most body lotions. And after it absorbs, my skin feels SOO soft, smooth, and buttery. It does an EXCELLENT job of hydrating my skin! I strongly recommend this; like I said, it is definitely HG material.

Lips -Unlisted Brand - Aquafina Hydrating Lip Oil
rated 2 of 5
ToxicBailey 12/11/2008 4:55:00 PM

I bought this mainly because of the name & packaging: Aquafina Hydrating Lip Oil. It looked neat, like the lip gloss version of a bottle of Aquafina water! :) Plus, Aquafina beauty products were a new concept to me so I was intruiged. But it's nothing special. This really shouldn't be called "Hydrating Lip Oil" because it isn't hydrating (or oily) at ALL. Basically, it's just cheap clear gloss with practically no staying power. It is a good thing to have as a novelty, but I don't think I'll ever use it again (let alone repurchase).

Lip Treatments -Unlisted Brand - chicken poop
rated 4 of 5
ToxicBailey 12/8/2008 3:56:00 PM

I love chicken poop! I'm a lip balm addict, so when I found this on MUA, I was very intriuged at the idea of carrying around a lip balm labeled Chicken Poop. I ended up receiving it as an extra in a swap, and I love it! The texture is a little weird- it has a lot of little granules that transfer on to your lips- but they dissipate when you rub your lips together. After that, you're left with a nice layer of smooth moisturizing balm. I find that after it wears off, my lips are soft and moisturized, and I don't feel the need to keep re-applying like I do when I use other balms. Some may find that the scent is unappealing- it has a strong lavender scent, but I find that the scent quickly disappears after I apply it. So overall, I love chicken poop! I just ordered my second tube (off of drugstore.com) and I can't wait to be reunited with this great balm! =)
UPDATE: Hmm.. my new tube of chicken poop is different! I noticed that it isn't grainy at all. Maybe they had an old version and a new version? Also, my old tube of Chicken Poop said on the tube: "The safety of this product has not been determined". Yet on my new tube, it doesn't say that anywhere. New version, maybe? I still love it though!

Lotions/ Creams -Unlisted Brand - EXTRA VIRGIN Coconut Oil (All brands)
rated 5 of 5
ToxicBailey 11/23/2008 11:26:00 PM

Coconut oil is my absolute favorite deep-conditioning hair treatment, EVER. I always slather a big amount in my hair & scalp, and leave it overnight when I plan to shower in the morning. I can tell the difference immediately after I shampoo- my hair is noticeably smoother & softer. After using my normal conditioner & hair products and letting it air-dry, my hair is improved - BIG TIME. Softer, smoother, moisturized, and split ends aren't as noticeable. I've tried tons of the deep conditioners that you use in the shower, but nothing even comes close to Coconut oil. I've also started using this as a cuticle oil and it works GREAT! I strongly recommend this!

Blush -Milani - Smooth Finish Blush - Luminous
rated 5 of 5
ToxicBailey 11/23/2008 12:04:00 AM

I have found my HG blush! I don't think I've bought or even used any other blush since this little gem came along- in fact, I'm thinking of buying a backup because I'm sure I'll hit pan on this soon. I use it every single day! I love that glowing-cheek look, and Luminous gives me just that. It's also impossible to overdo, I could swipe it on my cheeks a million times and it wouldn't look over-the-top at all. It's supposed to be a dupe of the famous NARS Orgasm- I don't own orgasm, but it looks exactly like what I see in pictures! It's long-lasting, BEAUTIFUL, and just plain amazing. Not to mention that it's compact so I can just pop it my bag and apply it on the go. =)

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast
rated 4 of 5
ToxicBailey 11/22/2008 11:39:00 PM

I originally bought a tube of Lash Blast sometime last year when it was brand new. It turned out to be AWFUL- super flakey and smudgey. Into the trash it went! But a few months ago, after hearing tons of raves about it, I came to the conclusion that I must have gotten a bad tube, so I decided to buy a new one- and it is MUCH better. Waayyy better, in fact. It does do a really good job of declumping and lengthening my lashes- but it didn't really do anything to thicken them, which is a bummer since I have super-thin lashes. But overall, this mascara actually isn't half bad! I like to use a more thickening mascara first, and then put a few swipes of Lash blast on top- that usually looks a lot better than LB by itself. I probably wouldn't buy it again if I ran out, though.

Blush -mark - Just Pinched Instant Blush Tint in Cheeky
rated 5 of 5
ToxicBailey 11/14/2008 8:41:00 AM

Words cannot express how much I love this cheek tint- seriously! It's creamy, convenient, lasts a LOONNG time, and just looks downright gorgeous. It provides the perfect pinky flush to my cheeks, making it look like I just came in from the cold. A lot of times in the morning, I don't have time to apply a blush, so I just slap this on both cheeks- takes 15 seconds and looks even better than a powder blush. I use this on a daily basis with Milani luminous blush on top- it is my HG blush combination that looks just plain amazing. I don't think I could ever survive without it.

Lip Treatments -Smith's Rosebud Salve - Smith's Rosebud Salve
rated 4 of 5
ToxicBailey 11/5/2008 11:26:00 AM

I looove this lip balm! A lot people have just sworn this off because it is "just fancy vaseline" but in my opinion, it is VERY different than Vaseline.
First of all, Vaseline doesn't have the slightest scent, and is a lot thicker than rosebud salve. It also has no color. When I apply vaseline to my lips, I get a thick layer of pure petroleum jelly that just seems to sit there and doesn't absorb. Even though this product is mainly petroleum jelly, it is MUCH better than vaseline. The consistency of Smith's Rosebud Salve is a lot thinner, and seems goopier when you put your finger in it. (It doesn't feel goopy at all on your lips though). It appears pink in the tin and has a slight scent of that familiar powdery "old-ladyish" rosey smell. (Some of my friends think it smells like deodorant). I didn't really like the smell at first, but after a while, I've gotten used to it and now it actually seems to smell good!
As far as the pink tint, it disappears completely once you apply it. In my experience, I havne't noticed a single HINT of any color on my lips, nor when I swatch it on a piece of paper. I was a little disappointed with this. But even though it doesn't make your lips look rosey or pinky, it does have a very slight glossiness to it. Nothing super shiny or noticeable, but a subtle shine. Another thing I love about this balm is that when it wears off, I notice that my lips are a lot more supple and moist. (which isn't something I notice when I use vaseline) I've had my tin for about 6 months and it's just getting empty. I'm definitely going to buy a new one!
So overall, I really recommend that you give this a try. Just because it seems slightly similar to just plain ol' vaseline, doesn't mean that you shouldn't try it!

Polishes -Milani - Nail Lacquer
rated 4 of 5
ToxicBailey 11/3/2008 4:01:00 PM

I loooove milani nail polishes- they are by far the best that you can get from the drugstore besides OPI or Orly. And for only 3 bucks! They have a wide range of colors, good staying power, nice brush/applicator, and overall just a fantasic nail polish. I have bought about 9 of these already, and will definitely continue to get more! My favorite shade is "Cool Vibe", a beautiful vibrant magenta-y pinkish violet color that's pretty hard to describe. But yeah, these are definitely a great nail polish, especially for the price!

Lip Gloss -Bonne Bell - Lip Smacker in Watermelon
rated 5 of 5
ToxicBailey 10/26/2008 9:09:00 PM

When I was a kid, I was a Lip Smacker FREAK. I would blow every single penny of mine on all the different flavors. I remember standing in front of the lip smacker display in Target for 15 minutes, carefully deciding which flavor to get. I even had a glittery Barbie case where I kept my collection. I don't really remember what became of that coveted collection; I think eventually they all went bad or got lost. But anyways, fast forward a few years later. I passed by the lipsmacker display and decided to pick some up, for old time's sake. I got a 3-pack of watermelon lip smackers which had the lip balm, the squeeze tube, and the liquid one. When I combined the balm with the squeeze tube gloss, it gave me such a gorgeous glossy natural tint to my lips. Now I remember why I loved these so much!
The watermelon lip smacker looks pink in the tube, with a bright green label that you can't miss. It provides just the slightest hint of color when you apply it. This really does smell like yummy watermelon candy or something, which I love. It feels nice and smooth on your lips, but this isn't the most moisturizing product. Nevertheless, I've become almost ADDICTED to it! I'll definitely pick up more lip smackers in the near future - maybe I can start up a big collection again (minus the glittery Barbie case ;)!
