Shampoo -John Frieda - Root Awakening Strength Restoring Shampoo
TinaGreece 12/17/2010 11:32:00 AM
This shampoo really, really worked well on my over-processed hair. It made it so thick and full! - That was a first. My hair looked in great shape with this. I then decided to venture onto the JF Root Awakening Nourishing Moisture Shampoo which was such a let down! (left my hair so dry and feeling unclean) I was so surprised at what a vast contrast the two had. Anyhow, will definitely re-purchase.

Scrubs -Neutrogena - Energizing Sugar Body Scrub-Fresh Citrus
TinaGreece 12/17/2010 11:13:00 AM
I picked this up on a whim as I couldn't find my beloved L'oreal body scrub (which I have definitely purchased over I would say 15,20 times now) and whoa, talk about a slime bath with this scrub! First of all, if you apply this on moist skin, it will just dissolve, I only feel it's purpose is somewhat served (in feeling like a scrub) applied on completely dry skin. Secondly however, it leaves this slimy film even after washing 3,4 times with my shower gel afterwords, which won't properly lather cause of the slick on me! Gross Neutrogena, just gross.

Shampoo -Burt's Bees - Very Volumizing Pomegranate & Soy Shampoo
TinaGreece 12/17/2010 10:58:00 AM
Smells so good but that is where the positive feedback ends. I cannot get this to lather in the slightest, is very goopy/runny and I cannot run my hands through my hair to form a massage motion, extremely drying and just, useless. I've ordered Sebamed's every day shampoo and hopefully it will work for me-okay I'll be honest, the only reason I ordered the latter was because I was checking to see if the amount of money I was expecting was deposited into my account and decided to order something cheap but useful so as to then embark onto the bigger and more "serious" purchases, man I need to get onto internet banking. In my opinion/experience though, the sulfate free shampoo's which are great for me are the Tigi ones.

Cleansers -Unlisted Brand - alpha Keri Intensive Cream Cleanser

I've replaced scented and harsh shower gels and only use this now. Very pleased with it as it does not aggravate my chronic uti problem.

Blush -Milani - Powder Blush - Pink Craze [DISCONTINUED]
TinaGreece 8/21/2010 11:08:00 AM
Hands down my absolute favourite pink blush EVER. I wear it with every single look all year round. The texture is divine, I love the matteness, I adore the gorgeous cotton candy pink tone, it's just perfection. Seeing mine however is coming to an end :( -moment of silence- I will be purchasing Laura Mercier's Second Skin Cheek Colour in Barely Pink and hopefully it will be a close match to Pink Craze.

Lipstick -MAC - Lustre in Hug Me
TinaGreece 8/21/2010 11:07:00 AM
My absolute favourite lip colour with tones of brown to it was Bonne Bell Clic It in "Bliss"(have pics in review for it), once that was discontinued I searched high and low for a replacement- well okay, I just walked straight into MAC;obviously I wasn't too broken. Hug Me fit the bill. Beautiful nudey/beige/peachy/brown, wonderful moisturising texture and long lasting too- I went for Mexican-and you know how messy that can get!-and I was surprised when I went to freshen up it was still on perfectly. I wouldn't accentuate my eye colour with this one as I don't think it is "that" light (for me) to do so, but I really love this colour for a polished look.

Lipstick -MAC - Lustre in Lady Bug

I too will agree with the below reviewer that it does look uneventful in the tube and had I not read the reviews I don't think I would have given it a second look. I really wanted a wearable red to wear to work and to have as a go to red without the shade screaming fire! or resembling Ronald McDonald - you get the drift. This really is a great shade! Firstly, very flattering on my skin tone (pale with warm yellow undertones) secondly, you can build it for a more intense red -which will still however look "sedated" or just apply a bit and go for a tinted/stain look. I usually apply it somewhere in between and it brightens up my look without having to wear too much makeup, just the basics. The texture is divine too-moisturising and smooth. So I'm a happy camper with this one. However I'm still on the hunt for a more daring but not naughty red I could wear on outings with a sun kissed/bronzey look, but that's another story. :)

Lipstick -MAC - Half-N-Half
TinaGreece 8/19/2010 6:04:00 AM
I bought this but returned it the next day but only because I was looking for a specific shade (which ended up being Hug Me) however, I will say that it really is one of the nicest straight up warm and flattering shades of brown. I wouldn't call it a nude cause I think it's a tad bit too dark for that, nor could I detect any pink in it, however it is extremely wearable and a lovely brown.

Lipstick -MAC - Blankety
TinaGreece 8/19/2010 5:58:00 AM
I really love this "nude". I have a lot of lighter nudes such as Please Me, Creme de Cup, Snob, Angel etc. which I really like it's just that they take a bit more of an effort to pull off and so usually I wear them on outings when I'll be taking more time to apply my make-up. Therefore I wanted a more "wearable" and go to nude for everyday without washing me out and without having to wear a lot of make up to balance it out either. This one fit the bill! FYI: Blonde hair, pale skin with yellow undertones-but tan in the summer.

Loose Powders -Make Up For Ever - Super Matte Loose Powder
TinaGreece 7/30/2010 5:20:00 AM
Best powder in my opinion, tossed out all the rest I had. I have this in Translucent and though it's on the lighter side, it looks very natural, I just finish off my look with blush and bronzer if I want a more made up look or more colour. The powder itself is so light and airy and I love using the puff on my face and then blending it with my face brush- warning: don't puff carelessly around your nose and sniff at the same time! :) All in all, does not cake at all, leaves me super matte and polished. I've had it for many months now and still heaps left. Love it.

Styling Products -Matrix - Vavoom Gold Heat Iron-In Volume (Fine/Medium hair)
TinaGreece 7/18/2010 4:11:00 AM
I'm very reluctant to try any additional products after having washed my hair - they always seem to either weigh my hair down, make it look greasy (even though my hair is on the drier side) or in general, just not work with my hair so I usually just end up tossing them out. I straighten my hair out regularly and use a flat iron occasionally so it's wonderful I found a product that is great on my hair. A hairdresser used this on my hair when she was flat ironing it, she spritzed in onto sections and then flat ironed and I was seriously impressed. It did not leave ANY oily residue nor weigh it down, protected my hair and left it looking sleek, full and healthy. Amazing find. I am extremely satisfied with this product and intend on looking into other products by this brand.

Lotions/ Creams -Unlisted Brand - Yu-Be Moisturizing Skin Cream
TinaGreece 6/4/2010 10:25:00 AM
If you are looking for heavy duty moisturising properties without leaving your skin feeling goopy and heavy, then look no further. I saw this at Target on sale for 2.50 $AUS and thought why not? I'm glad I purchased this cause it really plumps up my dry skin and it is heaven on my hands which I treat recklessly. I should have stocked up.

Blush -MAC - Cubic
TinaGreece 6/4/2010 9:26:00 AM
I went to the MAC counter and requested a very natural looking matte blush with hints of pink in it (I didn't want to something too brown or just beige etc.). I was given Cubic and have not looked back. Perfection.

Liquid -Giorgio Armani - Luminous Silk Foundation
TinaGreece 6/4/2010 9:23:00 AM
Love it. Bought a concealer from the Armani counter and was given this in shade #5 (perfect match) as a sample. It does not accentuate any dryness or fine lines - if anything it actually seems as though it plumps my skin- and stays put all day. Will definitely purchase.

Toners -Dove - Essential Nutrients Alcohol-Free Toner
TinaGreece 5/24/2010 9:28:00 PM
Picked this up on a whim at the aussie supermarket, I'm really happy with it. Between jobs, moving into a new apartment and trying to explore the new city I'm in, I'm exhausted and don't have time for my once lavish cleansing ritual at the moment. I have just been using this for about a week and it's really good! My skin looks clear and polished and it feels very refreshing going on. Tad bit drying for my very dry skin, but nothing major.
