Skincare - Face -Pro Activ - Clarifying Night Cream

My skin did not like this cream and I developed a rash. I do not have sensitive skin and I was rather surprised by the reaction as I've been a fan of Pro Activ for many years and the line has always cleared up my adult acne. This contains salicylic acid instead of benzoyl peroxide, so maybe that's the problem.

What a fantastic eyeliner! I purchased this based on a board post about favourite purchases of 2013. This led me to check the reviews which were excellent. I generally don't like Rimmel, but what a pleasant surprise this was. I find that I cannot wear dark or strong coloured liners under my eyes as it tends to close them up and make me appear mean. The taupe is an absolutely perfect shade that flatters my eye without making them appear smaller. The texture is very soft and does not pull the skin. Generally by the end of the day anything I apply on the lower lash line has migrated down, but the Rimmel stayed in place. The bonus was the very affordable price!

I too purchased this at a discount from Winners, though not 2.99 like the other reviewer (jealous), I think it was more like 9.99 or 12.99. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought the scent was horrendous. I'm a diehard hairspray user since the 80's and I've never experienced anything like this. It smells like vomit, my husband demanded I throw the spray out and I complied.

This cleanser is great! I wish I had purchased more. Like the other reviewer, I had picked this up at Winners out of curiousity. I actually used this as an eye makeup remover and at $6.99 for 200ml that's a fabulous price. I wear alot of eye makeup and this removed it all without stinging my eyes or leaving them blurry.

Toners -Unlisted Brand - Tval - Raspberry Exfoliating Toner

This toner was okay. It worked fine, but I found the smell a bit odd on my face. I love the scent of berries, so I thought I would love this toner, but I actually couldn't wait to finish the bottle. I guess thats why generally skin care is not berry scented.

Moisturizers -Origins - A Perfect World Antioxidant Moisturizer

This was an okay moisturizer. I have extremely oily skin and during the cold dry winters my skin does become sensitive and a bit dry. The Origins did not cause any breakouts, but it was very oily and did not absorb very well on me. I ended up using it at night only. I did however just love the smell of the cream.

This leave-in treatment is okay, I don't generally have any luck with leave-ins. This one doesn't coat my hair too badly as long as I don't over spray. My hair is coarse and box coloured, so I'm constantly on the hunt for something to keep my hair soft and somewhat healthy looking.

Pressed Powders -Maybelline - Fit Me

This powder was a disappointment. The colour selection is fantastic, but I found the powder felt heavy and my skin became more oily than normal. It seemed fine after the initial application for setting my foundation and mattifiying my face, but shortly thereafter my face became very oily and looked like I was wearing a lot of makeup. Even my daughter who has dry skin had the same outcome.

Mascara -Rimmel - Eye Magnifier - Exact Definition - Extreme Black

My current mascara was becoming dry so I reached for my new tube of Eye Magnifier and was looking forward to trying a new mascara. The wand is placed beside the tube of mascara in the package so I twisted off the cap and inserted the wand in to the mascara tube. When I pulled out the wand, the brush was gone. I guess the wiper in the tube was a little too efficient or the brush was loose. I was disappointed, I'm glad this was not an expensive mascara.

Eyeliner -Revlon - Matte Luxurious Color Kohl Eyeliner 02 Rich Mink

I've almost used up this eyeliner and I would definitely buy again. It's an extremely soft and very pigmented liner. There is absolutely no drag and the staying power for me is fantastic. I love this brown as it's dark enough, but not as harsh as wearing black.

Cleansers -Avene - Clean-Ac Cleansing Cream

Just finished my bottle and I have to say this is an effective cleanser for my extremely oily skin. I was worried that with the colder and drier weather that this might be harsh on my skin, but I was wrong. It's gentle and yet it thoroughly cleanses my oily skin. The scent is subtle and it's more of a milk consistency than cream.

Loose Powders -Dr. Hauschka - Dr. Hauschka Loose powder

This powder is fantastic. It does a great job of absorbing oil without making me look cakey. If I use a mattifiying primer with powder foundation and Dr Hauschka's loose powder, I'm actually oil free for about four hours which is absolutely amazing for me. Usually my face starts looking oily after about 20 minutes. The powder blends nicely into my face and I can reapply later in the day without it looking heavy. It did take me a while to get use to the scent which is only noticeable when first applied. The only downside is the price.

This product did not work for my hair. I have fairly straight hair but I flat iron to achieve a more polished look. This protectant dried out my hair and left it dull and with fly aways.

Lip Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Ferity Lip Project v105

I was impressed by this product. I have the cherry lip balm and I find the scent very subtle and pleasant. It comes in a twist up tube that is a little wobbly, the balm is a little difficult to apply. There's not a lot of glide, so you have press fairly hard. It's a bit thick and a little tacky, but I don't mind because it make a great base for lip colour. I didn't realize it was suppose to be lip plumping because there is no plumping effect at all. Overall it's a decent colourless lip balm and if it were on sale I'd purchase it again.

Eye Makeup Remover -Annabelle - Eye Makeup Remover Cloths

I had purchased these with the intent of taking them travelling, they come packaged in cute little red resealable pouches that hold 15 cloths. I decided I would try them before taking them on a trip and I'm very glad I did because they were a disappointment. I found I had to do a lot of rubbing to remove my eye makeup, at first it just smeared everything and I had to continue rubbing just to remove my eyeshadow. I could not remove all my mascara and I don't even wear waterproof mascara. I was quite disappointed as I have another pack, they are sold in doubles.
