Ten out of ten for the effect that castor oil has had on my lashes and the skin around my eyes - I use it overnight as a treatment rubbed into my lashline and under-eye area by hand. I also use it, mixed with some other oils, as a very effective eye makeup remover. The length and volume of my eyelashes have increased, and I think a big part of this is that my eyelashes don't shed any longer. My under-eye skin looks smooth, radiant and is more evenly toned in relation to the rest of my skin. I've been using it every night also on my eyebrows, and frustratingly, have not had as positive results...so annoying! that's why it doesn't get 5/5 overall. Before you start using this, plan ahead on how frequently you will be applying it and at what time of the day etc so you can have the right containers to store it in conveniently as it comes in a big bottle - I have mine in a small BioOil bottle for nightly application, and a spray pump bottle (I think for FrizzEase) which has a bigger nozzle as the oil is VERY thick for a regular spray nozzle.

Pressed Powders -E.L.F. - Complexion Perfection

I have NO idea what this product actually is, but it WORKS. I put it on after moisturising but before concealer/foundation. I have sometimes just worn it on its own. It balances out shininess, tonal imperfections/variations, redness, everything. And it's so light on the skin. But as to what it's made of and how the colours work and the technicalities, this is still a total mystery! My favourite ELF product by a long shot!

Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express The Falsies

This mascara is NOT for everyone, but it did a fabulous job of giving me darker, longer and more intense eyelashes (not dramatic eyelashes though, so maybe it doesn't live up to the 'falsies' moniker). This mascara is great if you have: - shorter lashes - curly lashes - plentiful lashes (mine are too plentiful and i sometimes have to yank some out when they grow two to a follicle because it's uncomfortable and leads to more eyelashes that curl downwards!) It's a great everyday mascara that lasts well and comes off easily. I liked the length and especially the fact that it maintained my natural curl which can sometimes straighten out with lengthening mascaras. On my sister, who has already long but straighter eyelashes, this mascara was a dud!

I bought this product in the colour Warm Mocha and I'm a NC47. I thought it may be too dark, but it's great if you like a warmer tone to your skin. Pros; easy to apply to build coverage; very nice feel on skin; minimizes appearance of pores and uneven skintone; illuminates the skin; absorbs oil; looks very natural even in harsh daylight; is not chalky or 'bronzing' Cons: the container is a little tricky to get product from

Mascara -Prestige - My Longest Lashes

This mascara does what it says on the package - it produces length. That's it - no volume, thickness or curl. I have very curly lases (like, ridiculously curly, they look like one of those old fashioned metal scourers, some curling up, down, sideways) so I have to avoid curling mascaras. Pros: no curling; good colour payoff; no clumping; easy to apply; easy to layer so can be made more dramatic; doesn't flake; not too wet Cons: eyelashes feel heavier; not best smell. I will be using this in conjunction with Max Factor Lash Extension Effect which I find horrible to apply but creates more volume

Top/Base Coats -Mavala - ColorFix Top Coat

I got this product hoping to have finally found a decent top coat - and it is fantastic at preventing chips and other damage to your manicure. The biggest drawback is that in very little time (less than a month), the polish looses consistency and becomes gluey. Thus, the overall quality of the polish is not that great and the formula could be improved, though initially, it really perfomed amazingly.
