BB Cream -Skin79 - Vital BB Cream SPF50++ Hot Orange Label
TheRedDeluge 2/25/2013 8:53:00 AM
I love this stuff. I ordered in online when I was in the States, but now that I am abroad where there is a Skin79 store, I know to buy more. I am not a fan of foundations so I decided to try a BB cream. This is great and the color is perfect for me. I am very pale and many American products are too pink for me. I love that it has a high SPF and I think it has improved the texture of my skin. I wear it with a primer to keep it from melting off in the heat of Southeast Asia. Love it! I think you should definitely try it.
The eye cream is only so so. Like others have said, it doesn't seem very special. It has a lot of shimmer which brightens the eye area. I think there are better eye creams on the market.
Conditioner -Dove - Nourishing Oil Care Conditioner
TheRedDeluge 11/26/2011 9:56:00 AM
Haven't reviewed on MUA in a long time, but I had to tell others about this product. Like others have said this is my HG hair care line. I have been searching for a long time and have been trying different products hoping for a result like this Dove conditioner provides. I am so happy with this product. When I apply the conditioner, you can actually feel that my hair soaks it right up. My hair is totally different. It is smoother, shinier, and conditioned. I wear my hair down more often which I never did before. For the price, I highly recommend giving this a try. It is really worth it. I actually want to give some to my friend who has really curly hair to see if it works for her. I feel like it will change her life as well. I hope Dove doesn't stop making this!
This is an obnoxious pale cotton candy pink on my nails. It doesn't really compliment my skin and it is just ok. The bad part is that this formula is very hard to work with and needs three coats. I agree that it might suit someone with warmer skin tone.
Polishes -Sally Hansen - Xtreme Wear in Wet Cement
TheRedDeluge 5/6/2010 11:13:00 AM
I have been looking for gray nail polish for a long time. There have been many shades I have been wanting, i.e. CG Recycle, MAC On the Prowl, Essie Chinchilly, but I have been unable to find them. I am really glad that Sally Hansen is following some of the nail trends and I hope they keep up with it so that the hot colors are easier to find at a cheap price. This is a nice warm grey and an unusual but lovely color. I love gray and wanted gray nails for a long time.
Masks -Paula's Choice - Skin Balancing Carbon Mask
TheRedDeluge 5/5/2010 12:19:00 PM
Well I guess I am in the same boat with many other people reviewing this mask. The second I applied this to my clean skin it burned intensely. Not just stinging but absolute burning. I quickly washed it off. But I had a little panic for a second there because it took some time to rinse away. Not good. Be cautious.
Mascara -Rimmel - Volume Flash The Max in Extreme Black 003
TheRedDeluge 5/3/2010 11:42:00 PM
I decided to give this a try after finishing numerous L'Oreal Voluminous mascaras. This is actually a really good mascara and is comparable to Voluminous. Though I think the brush from Voluminous is a bit better. It gives great volume and separates and is a good shade of black. It does not smudge onto my skin under my lower lashes which is great. I hate when mascara does that. No one wants racoon eyes midday. The pink bottle is really cute too as others have said.
Treatments -Paula's Choice - Skin Perfecting 8% AHA Gel Exfoliant
TheRedDeluge 5/3/2010 12:23:00 PM
This is a review for Paula's Choice 8% Alpha Hydroxy Acid Gel. I love this stuff and think that it is amazing. I have combination skin and I only apply this twice a week at night after cleansing and then I moisturize. It stings just a bit when you first apply it. But when I wake up in the morning I love how my skin looks. The tone and texture of my skin is improved and it has a great glow to it. It is a great chemical exfoliator. It also helps to prevent clogged pores since it exfoliates the top layer of skin. Love it. The AHA does not penetrate really oily skin too well so it is not the best for that type. But after cleansing the oil is washed away so I think you can still use it. I also like that it is 8%. Some AHA are sold at 10% but I like that this is a little less.
Moisturizers -Paula's Choice - Skin Balancing Moisture Gel
TheRedDeluge 5/1/2010 8:44:00 AM
I have to say, after a long time of trying different moisturizers, I am really excited to have found this product. I typically have oily skin, especially in the summer. But lately I have been treating my skin with BHA and AHA treatments for my almost non-existant acne and I have some flakiness around my nose. But this moisturizer has really helped. It is the perfect amount of moisture for my skin. Some moisturizers I have tried recently (Juice Beauty Oil Free Moisturizer, Korres Pomegranate Moisturizer, LUSH Vanishing Cream, LUSH Gorgeous) made my skin very shiny, often oily, and did not sink in well. I love the finish of this gel. Paula's choice are really great products and they are not too badly priced. I also like the recyclable packaging. I don't need any fancy bottles and the tube is very convenient for travel. Try it.
This mascara is garbage. I just bought it and when I opened it up I found the formula to be stiff and thick. After many attempts, with wiggling, to apply this to my lashes. the formula just would not go on my lashes. What a waste of money. I am really dissapointed. I love the packaging and it is pretty but this stuff is not good at all. I cannot even test if it smudges or is easy to remove because it is so thick. Perhaps mine is defective?
Probably one of the worst liquid eyeliners I have used. It dries up quick but even before that it doesn't release much product and doesn't apply evenly. I would use the applicator to darken the line by reappling over the areas that barely had any on there and the tip would just pick up the color that was already layed down. I only bought this since it was on sale and I have been using liquid eyeliner for years. This stuff stinks.
Blush -Maybelline - Expert Wear Blush in Pinch O Pink
TheRedDeluge 7/1/2009 9:38:00 PM
Not bad, but not wonderful either. It is finely milled and my brush picks up the powder easily. It is silky and smooth but not as great as other blushes I have tried. I like the color though and will use it here and there.
I have almost finished a full bottle of this moisturizer. At first I liked it and it sunk in quickly but after a while it no longer does that. It takes forever to sink and feels like it just sits on my face. It doesn't cause be breakouts but it really isn't anything special. I thought it would be and had high hopes for it but I will be on the look out for something new. For the price I want to make sure I finish it.
Eye Makeup Remover -Clean & Clear - Oil free Soothing Eye Makeup Remover
TheRedDeluge 6/29/2009 3:06:00 PM
I went to the store to buy more Neutrogena m/u remover when I saw this and thought to give it a try. It works great if not better in my opinion. My eye makeup comes off easily and like it has been said before it is not as oily feeling as Neutrogena. But that doesn't matter much anyway since I wash my face after I use it. I also think you get about the same amount for a little less. I would definitely give it a try.
I really like this color. Yes, it is transparent pink but I also beg to differ that it doesn't show up. After my basecoat I apply a layer of it then I paint on my french tips in white. Then I layer two coats of this. It gives the white a slight pink cast and just looks like a natural yet fun sheer pink manicure. I rather like it.
