Tinted Moisturizer -Cover Girl - CG Smoothers Tinted Moisturizer Fair to Light
rated 5 of 5
TheLimerest 3/12/2009 5:09:00 PM

This stuff isn't too bad. Evens out my skin tone and gives sheer coverage. Looks natural, too, and is easy to apply. Makes me look as if I'm healthy and glowing. Sometimes if I'm just running to class after an all nighter and I don't want to frighten people with weird, pasty skin I'll just use some of this on my cheeks, nose, and forehead. I feel good about myself wearing this rather than nothing. SOO easy to blend. Also, my everyday look is pretty natural, and I've found that with my regular matte foundation, some of this on the eyelids looks dewy and natural. Lasts forever. Love it, will keep repurchasing.

Self Tanners -L'Oreal - Sublime GLOW
rated 4 of 5
TheLimerest 3/12/2009 5:03:00 PM

I've been using this stuff for a few years now and it's pretty great. I am WHITE white without this. It is not obvious, really easy to apply, seems to actually moisturize (which I wouldn't care if it didn't, but I've noticed it does). My only gripe is that if I wear it before bed I wake up stinky and greasy. But if I apply in the morning I'm just stinky. Like ritz crackers. Kind of weird. Smells MUCH better than other self tanners I've tried though. This is just natural enough. The only time i've ever seen it look fake is in pictures taken at nighttime with flash - kind of brings out the orangeish. Otherwise, perfect. I'll keep buying this until I'm not paying tuition and can afford something more. OH - and the Fair skin tones does absolutely nothing. I'm the palest girl you know, and Medium applied every other day is the perfect amount of color.

Lip Treatments -Neutrogena - MoistureShine Lip Soothers
rated 5 of 5
TheLimerest 3/12/2009 4:57:00 PM

I love these little things. My first was in Gleam. I remember when I first bought this I had realllyyy really chapped lips and was annoyed at the fact that I thought I had to put it on and wear it for a few days before I could decide if I liked it. BUT, I put it on in the CVS parking lot, drove home, and was surprised when not 10 minutes later I cought a glimpse of myself in the mirror and my lips were pretty dang smooth looking considering how chapped, cracked, and dry they'd been just a few moments ago. They taste great, also, and are sheer and very natural.

Styling Products -Alberto Vo5 - Vo5 Miracle Mist Heat Defense Style Spray
rated 5 of 5
TheLimerest 3/12/2009 4:52:00 PM

I am a huge fan of this stuff. Been using it for a few years now. It definitely does its job of protecting when i blow dry...my stylist always tells me to "keep doing whatever I'm doing that keeps my hair so healthy". It's a surprise, too, because I blow dry and straighten every day. This spray bottle is sooo easy to handle, too, the price is great, and as an added bonus, it smells AMAZING. Will definitely continue to repurchase.

Liquid -Almay - Clear Complexion Blemish Healing Makeup
rated 3 of 5
TheLimerest 3/12/2009 4:49:00 PM

This had good coverage and did seem to be slightly "blemish healing" as promised. Didn't entirely zap the things, but I noticed when I removed my makeup even just after a few hours, they weren't as red and inflamed as before. It did go bad really quickly, though, and I always seemed to be in between shades. Clung to dry skin and was tough to apply without caking. I'll continue to use this only when I need extra coverage, but not as an everyday foundation.

Treatments -Earth Therapeutics - Clari-T Acne Serum
rated 4 of 5
TheLimerest 3/12/2009 4:44:00 PM

This stuff was relatively gentle for 5% BP, but I don't feel like it made much more of a difference than my 2.5% I'd been using previously. Just stung a little more which made me more reluctant to moisturize over it, etc. The Earth Therapeutics website actually had some of the best pricing and they shipped with a bunch of free goodies like a massage tool, foot repair cream, and some oil blotting sheets. Was a good BP cream, but considering it did the same job my 2.5 did for more $$, not worth it. Liked that it had tea tree oil in it, but that's not anything I can't apply separately on my own. I wanted to like this stuff, and I'll continue to use it until I run out, but probably won't be repurchasing.

Treatments -Dermalogica - Medibac Overnight Clearing Gel
rated 5 of 5
TheLimerest 3/12/2009 4:39:00 PM

This stuff is really fantastic for clearing my monthly breakouts. I wear it overnight after cleansing with no moisturizer or anything else and after just a few days I'm almost entirely clear. And even after one use, I wake up having the appearance of an overall even color and reduced redness around blemishes. You can find big strips of sample packets on ebay for next to nothing, and usually buying a bunch of those is actually cheaper for more product than just buying the bottle. I have to be careful though, because my skin seems to get used to this after a week or two and do it's own thing - I try to just use it when I'm breaking out really horribly. Will def. keep repurchasing. Edit: Had to revisit this review to say again how incredible this stuff is, as I certainly didn't do a good enough job expressing this the first time. I started using Retin-A at night instead of this for a while, and I started purging from it RIGHT around the same time I was getting a hormonal breakout. It was scary stuff, but I used the Medibac gel two nights in a row. After the first night, most of the inflammation from blemishes was entirely gone...enough so, at least, that they were super easy to cover with concealer, and all of the blackheads around my nose were gone. After the second night, the blemishes that I'd given in to picking were no longer red and scabby, no new blemishes had formed, and my skin looked overall clear. I think my regimen can't do without this and I'll alternate between this and retin-a at night. This keeps me clear! Hoorah!

Toners -Clean & Clear - Deep Cleaning Astringent-Sensitive Skin (blue)
rated 1 of 5
TheLimerest 3/12/2009 4:35:00 PM

This stuff was pretty bad. My skin isn't even all that sensitive, but I figured I'd do my face a favor and get the seemingly more gentle of the two formulas. I didn't use it in conjunction with many other products at all, but it left me irritated, dry, red, and raw. My face literally HURT the next day. I told people I was sunburned when they asked because I didn't care to explain an astringent did this to me. I would have expected this from a product NOT marketed as being "gentle".

Masks -Queen Helene - Mint Julep Masque
rated 3 of 5
TheLimerest 3/12/2009 4:32:00 PM

This felt nice and minty, but left my face feeling dry and tight after I rinsed. After the tightness went away, my complexion looked exactly the same as before, just with a few flakes from the dryness. I have dry skin to begin with, though, so maybe this is better suited for oily skinned gals. Could've been worse, I suppose. Didn't break me out and most things do, but I'm sure there are better masks out there. For the price, I suppose it's okay.

Scrubs -Unlisted Brand - Sugar
rated 4 of 5
TheLimerest 3/12/2009 4:28:00 PM

This does a wonderful, wonderful job of exfoliation. Love that I can use it on my lips in the shower, too. I break out in places that I usually don't when I use this, however, so I'll probably go back to my old scrub. Great if you're not acne prone like me! I'll still use it on my legs and such.

Shampoo -Redken - Body Full
rated 3 of 5
TheLimerest 3/12/2009 4:25:00 PM

I liked this stuff at first but it made my hair verrry difficult to comb out (even with conditioner in) after continued use. It did its job though in providing lots of body. Maybe I'll only use on special occasions. Seemed to run out very quickly, too.

Liquid -LORAC - Breakthrough Performance Oil Free Anti-aging with sms complex spf 14
rated 4 of 5
TheLimerest 3/12/2009 4:23:00 PM

I love this stuff. I always get compliments on my skin when I wear it and I feel as if I look healthier, as it's very natural. Packaging is very sanitary, except my pump broke about halfway through and couldn't be put back together. Very easy application with fingers, blends well. Not quite HG. I'm going to keep buying this until I can find something better - as it does seem to dry me out a bit over time.

Conditioner -L'Oreal - Nature's Therapy Mega Moisture Nurturing Creme
rated 4 of 5
TheLimerest 3/12/2009 4:19:00 PM

I really did love this stuff. Gave it a 4 instead of a 5 because I don't really believe it's strong enough to use as a deep conditioner. I do love it for everyday though. Smells great, surprisingly doesn't weigh my hair down a bit, and leaves my hair extremely soft and healthy. Can't keep my hands out of my hair (and neither can my man!) when I use this stuff. Every now and then I stray to other conditioners, but kick myself and go back to this one in the end. Will continue to repurchase.

Shampoo -Dove - Shine Therapy w Repairing Serum
rated 3 of 5
TheLimerest 3/12/2009 4:16:00 PM

I thought this was great after one use but then after a few weeks it left my hair realllyyy really dull and dried out. Didn't allow much body to begin with. It was cheap and smells nice, plus did its job creating shine, but not good if you plan to do any heat styling. Back to Redken.

Self Tanners -Aveeno - Continuous Radiance Moisturizing Lotion
rated 2 of 5
TheLimerest 1/14/2007 11:34:00 AM

This gave me hardly any color, AND it streaked...two problems I NEVER had with L'Oreal Sublime Glow, which is what I'll be going back to. I gave this two lippies because it was very moisturizing for a self tanning lotion and because what little color it DID give me looked very natural. Not going to use this stuff again.
