Conditioner -Live Clean - (Exotic Nectar) Restorative Conditioner
rated 4 of 5

So this is my least favourite product in the line but I still could not live with out it. The only reason I am not totally thrilled with it is because it does not feel very good in my hands or hair. It is really thick and has this weird consistency. It also does not have a super yummy scent like the others. That being said I will most certainly use this bottle because it works really well on my hair. Leaving it soft and doing a really job prepping it for the leave in.

Shampoo -Live Clean - (Exotic Nectar) - Argan Oil Restorative Shampoo
rated 5 of 5

[Me: shoulder length normal hair, dry sensitive skin, fragrance allergy] -smell awesome -feels great in my hair -wish it got my hair just a little bit cleaner -small bottle but not a bad price This is my favourite product in the line. I started using just the oil, then when my old bottle of shampoo ran out I picked up this to try it out. I love it! First off it smell divine, like roasted almonds. It gets a good lather in my hair and leaves it soft. It does leave a bit of residue in my hair from my other products but I don't mind cleansing once a week with something stronger. It does totally get the smell of chlorine out of my hair which is a total bonus, very few shampoos can actually do that. Update April 2013: I have just kept falling more and more in love with this product. I continue to buy it 2 or 3 bottle at a time because I know that I will continue to use it.

Treatments -Live Clean - Argan Oil
rated 5 of 5

[Me: shoulder length normal hair, Sensitive dry skin, Fragrance allergy] -Got mine for $12 at SDM -There are right and wrong ways to apply this product - It makes you hair soft but not super shiny - Believe it is -cone free - If you tend to be oily I would not use everyday - It will take me at least 6 months to get through my current bottle (1/3 of the way through) I will let you know if I repurchase This is great Stuff but how you apply it is very important. After I am all finished with my shower and have turned the water off I ring out my hair so that water is not running down my back but is still wet enough to get a lather with shampoo. I spread 2 drops across my palms (rub hands together) and run my hands through my hair a number of times. Then I ring my hair out really well and put it up in a bun. This is not a product to use on dry hair, your hair must be soaking wet. I also suggest that you don't put it in a towel right away either. I do need to say that I try to avoid letting any product drip down my back because I have sensitive skin. But I have yet to have any problem if a little bit by accident. I believe this product is -cone free. (I'm not personally against -cones but some people like to know). It smells super Yummy, not quite as good as the shampoo but close. It is a little bit like toasted almonds and walnuts but not quite as sweet. I am super abusive to my hair. I swim in chlorine pools 4 days a week which means I sometimes wash and heat style my hair twice in a day. With this my hair is not a frizzy 80's mess. My hair is soft, well behaved and stays as I styled it all day. (I do also use a heat protection) There are a couple of things i dislike. The stopper on my bottle tends to get gunky and i did notice a little bit or build up after using it every wash for a week. That aside, I really love this product and I suspect that it will be in my shower for a long time into the future and for $12 being almost an 10 month supply why would I try anything else. Edit: this is not a product that will replace your normal conditioner. It tends to make my hair feel really greasy if i don't condition in the shower first.

Eye Primer -Too Faced - Shadow Insurance - Candlelight, Softly Illuminating Anti-Crease Eye Shadow Primer
rated 5 of 5
TheJoey 3/17/2011 3:58:00 AM

I <3 this product so much! I have hugely oily lids, everything creases on me. I have not even bother to venture into the realm of cream shadow assuming they would be a disaster. TFSI in Candlelight really did last all day on me. No fading, creasing or migrating. It even worked great under my eyes as a primer for concealer. It added a little extra light reflection. To apply I put a pin sized drop on the index finger then tapped the index fingers on both hands together to distribute the product evenly. I touched the ball of my eyelid followed by the darkest part of my under eye circles to place the product. Then starting on the inner corner of my eye I patted the product along the lid and crease towards the outer corner. I then did the same thing under my eye. Then I patted the entire eye well with my clean ring finger to remove any excess product and gently blended it towards my browbone. I applied eyeliner and mascara and my eyes were complete. It is an absolutely perfect dupe of the highlighter for the Clinique Sunfire Duo, which is a staple for me. It is not bronze or too yellow. Candlelight leaves a beautiful champagne sheen to the skin. It is easy enough to tone down the shine with a little powder but this is not the product for you if you like really matte eyes. The packaging is great, totally cute and easy to store or travel with. This is important to me since I rarely spend the weekends at home and live in a tiny apartment. The packaging has to be flawless for an item to make it into my bowl of dailies. The first couple times I used it I squeezed out way too much product but am getting better. The nozzle is supper tiny so it should be easy to get the right amount of product out. In a couple weeks I won't even need to think about it. The cap also screws on nice and tight so I am not worried about it drying out. The only thing I am hesitating about is whether it will irritate my eyes. I have been wearing this everyday for the last 4 days and I notice today that my lids were a bit sensitive while removing my make up. It was the same feeling as the Benefit that gal primer gave me. I will keep you up dated though. I might just have to start using my eye cream every time I use this, which would not be the end of the world. Even if I find out that I can't use this on a daily basis I think I will still keep it around for special occasions. It is just too pretty to return. *edit* my eye lid irritation was an eczema flare up caused by another product that I was trying out. It had nothing to do with TFSI. I have been using it everyday for 2 weeks now and have not had a single problem.

Mascara -Cover Girl - Professional Waterproof Mascara
rated 5 of 5
TheJoey 2/9/2011 9:31:00 AM

I have gone through a handful of tubes of this mascara. I love it! I have pretty good lashes to start off with but I have really watery eyes. I need something that will gives my lashes a little bit of volume and length and stay on all day. This fits the bill. It is great for daily wear but for extra drama I use this to define the lashes then a couple coats of Clinique high impact mascara and i look like I have false lashes on without all the irritation. Update April 2013: this is still the best mascara that I have ever used. At this point I have had an opportunity to try a bunch of other LE and HE products and always end up back with my trusty blue tube.

Makeup Brushes -Ecotools - Bamboo Deluxe Concealer Brush
rated 4 of 5
TheJoey 6/16/2010 4:02:00 PM

I use this everyday to put on my concealer. I am in love with this brush. On light coverage days. I even use it with my foundation. This is not a brush for colour correction. It is far too big. It is good for putting on a bit of product and blending it out really well.

Makeup Brushes -Ecotools - Bamboo Bronzer Brush
rated 5 of 5
TheJoey 6/16/2010 3:56:00 PM

I love this brush too. Although I do use it quite a bit less than some of my other brushes. It is super soft and extremely dense. It is really a kabuki. I use it to buff out products along with putting on bronzer. Not just on my face but all over. It works great for both. As with all kabuki brushes I really wish they were easier to store.

- supper soft - dense - durable - convenient I love this brush. I use it on the run almost everyday. It is light and sturdy. I have no problem just tossing it in my bag. The bristles are soft and apply my powder great without leaving me cakey.

- soft - dense - perfect sized handle - light I really like this brush. It really stands up to the wear I put on a foundation brush. I use a foundation with sunscreen so I wash the bush every 2 days and to get all the product out I need to be a little bit rough. I have yet to see any kind of shedding or wear. I have had this brush for 6 months. Great, great, great brush.

Makeup Brushes -Quo - Eye smudger brush
rated 4 of 5
TheJoey 6/16/2010 3:44:00 PM

This brush has very short, very dense bristles. It is great for putting shadow on my lower lash line. I also use it to blend away mistakes like blending my crease too high. I do use this brush most days. One thing that kills it is how much of a PITA it is to wash.

Makeup Brushes -Quo - definer shadow
rated 5 of 5
TheJoey 6/16/2010 3:31:00 PM

I use this brush pretty much everyday. It is similar to the all over colour brush in uses. You can do your crease, lid and lower lash line. I have even done my brow with this brush in a pinch. It is very dense and packs on lots of colour and put it exactly where you want it. Bad brush for blending. I normally just put my colour on where I want it with this brush them blend with something fluffy. The handel could be a touch shorter imo and there are a few pokey hairs. All things said and done I love this brush and would not go anywhere without it.

Makeup Brushes -Quo - Concealer Brush
rated 3 of 5
TheJoey 6/16/2010 3:22:00 PM

I have the large version. It took a little bit of work to soften up like all of my Quo brushes. I just use it for colour correcting because it does streak a bit. The bristles are a bit on the long side but nice and dense. Easy to clean like all my Quo brushes. Handel is the perfect length. I use it everyday.

Eyeliner -Vasanti - Magic Liner
rated 4 of 5
TheJoey 6/16/2010 3:15:00 PM

As someone who didn't wear a lot of liner in the past this is a great product. It allows me to take any of my funky e/s and turn them into liners. The product is about the size of a mascara tube; just a touch slimmer. When you unscrew the cap it is a long wand with a nice thin brush at the end. Inside the tube is a clear medium that you mix with a product to form your liner. Things I loved: The brush is on par with the brush in my GOSH Extreme Art liners. Thin and easy to control. I have been using this for about 4 months now 2x a week and it is not even starting to get muddy which I was concerned about. You get the right amount of product and the brush is easy to control so I don't get it all over my e/s ruining the entire thing, which does happen with other methods. Things I dislike: CAN$20 is a little bit steep for 4.0 ml of a product that basically replaces my liner brush and eye drops. The paint on the outside of the tube has already started to wear off. It is a small thing I know but there is not much to not like. All in all, I am a big fan of this product simply because it makes things easier. I will be able to live with out if for a while when it dies but will likely pick a new one up for a special occasion.

Foundations -Avon - Tinted Moisture Shield
rated 1 of 5
TheJoey 5/20/2010 1:55:00 PM

I found no problem in the colour of this product. It didn't make me look orange or washed out like some other product do but that is where the good things end. I wanted to love this product. I used it for a whole week (no way was I doing it longer) and still could not find the way to make it work. I love the idea of this product but in this case Avon fails. First it smells like suncreen, which makes sense since it has SPF but I really don't want to go around smelling like a 1st grade class room. It smell never leaves like some product it just clings to you and you can't overpower it. Second it never sets. I don't mind looking a little bit dewy but you just look oily all day long. I couldn't powder because when I did the product stuck to the applicator (brush/spong) making a huge mess. It is not like I have oily skin or anything. I have very dry skin and it just never absorbed but it did sink right into my pores. My face would itch if I sweated too. That is less of an issue since my skin is very sensitive you might not have this problem. Third, it made my other m/u look horrible. I do not normally put any foundation under my eyes that is reserved solely for my concealer but I did have a blemish one day so I just applied the concealer on top of the foundation. The combination of this plus my concealer was a cakey mess. It was horrible. The next day I put it on underneath but the moisturizer melted it away all the coverage. Even when I just tapped it over the spot. Fourth, I hated the container. It is a pot with a screw top. When you open it up the product sticks to the lid even though I have had it sitting upright for 2 months now. That means that you get product on your hands as you open and close it. Get that product on your clothes or a towel it really does not want to let go. (I also had a small bit of transfer from my face during the day. ) A pump would have been a much better choice since it is very fluid. Fifth, I found I needed to put a lot of product on my face. It does not spread or blend well and I found that if I did apply very little it would streak. All in all, this product is not even worth the $5 I paid for it.

Scrubs -St. Ives - Apricot Scrub
rated 3 of 5
TheJoey 5/13/2010 11:43:00 AM

I have been using this product for a long time. i though I needed a scrub in my skin care collection and this one fit the bill nicely. I finished my last bottle just before exams and did not have the time, energy or opportunity to go pick up another one for 3 weeks. I noticed a huge change in my skin in this short amount of time. Sadly for this product it was for the better. All of my blemishes cleared up and I have not had one since. I was only scrubbing one a week and I was using the formula for sensitive skin. I guess my temperamental skin is just going to need something HE. =(
