Great kabuki brush. easy to clean. Very soft, doesn't shed/irritate skin, washing brush doesn't leave any smells. distributes powder evenly. Compact and great to carry in your purse. Other brushes that might compare, that are on a budget is the kabuki-short handle ecotools brush & the nude by nature kabuki brush. else get 2 of these. one for your purse and one for your table-top.
Fantastic brush. Very soft, doesn't shed/irritate skin, washing brush doesn't leave any smells. distributes powder evenly. Fairly priced considering how long it last and comparing it to other makeup brushes. repurchase if i had to. Brushes still going strong after 2years
Makeup Brushes -Ecotools - Bamboo 6 Piece Brush Set
Tennyo 4/25/2010 3:48:00 AM
Pros: Best brush set and its on a budget. doesn't shed, very soft, hairs don't irritate my skin, easy to clean(baby shampoo), stays soft and doesn't smell after washing them Cons: None! (perhaps just make more different shaped/types of brushes!!) Edit: actually the brow/mascara brush may loose its teeth after awhile by cleaning. the plastic breaks off. Verdict: repurchase again and again.
Lip Gloss -Revlon - Super Lustrous-Bare Essentials
Tennyo 4/25/2010 3:41:00 AM
Pros: A clear-colour on my lips with a we-bit of nude but not much(my lips are quite brown, being a NC37-42), glossy/shimmery, not sticky Cons: not long lasting. need to reapply. quite pricey Verdict: Good gloss for over lipsticks if you want that shine(with the lipstick colour coming through). If i want a gloss i use my lipblam though because its longer lasting. i buy it on sale, i would reconsider if you had to pay RP. there are other clear glosses out there.
Lip Gloss -Revlon - Super Lustrous Lipgloss- Cherries in the Glow [DISCONTINUED]
Tennyo 4/25/2010 3:35:00 AM
Pros: love the colour(my lips are quite brown, being a NC37-42), not sticky Cons: not long lasting. need to reapply. quite pricey Verdict: Shame it doesn't last long. perhaps a lip-base would help? Would repurchase because i found a store near me that sells it for AU$12 or 2 for $15! i would reconsider if you had to pay RP.
Skincare - Face -Unlisted Brand - Dickinson's Witch Hazel
Tennyo 4/25/2010 3:29:00 AM
Pros:It cleans my face of oil and dirt. Gentle and doesn't strip/dry your skin out. Cheap product Cons: the smell, but you get use to it. its not overwhelming just distinct. Verdict:It's not remarkable. i notice no difference in improving evening out skin-tone or minimizing pores. I use it as an extra to clean my skin after using makeup remover(i cleanse after that as well) or (if i have no makeup on) to reduce oiliness. May try other products, but this does a good job also. would repurchase.
Pros: very volumising, smudge-proof(Waterproof), doesn't flake Cons: sometimes clumping occurs where you have to continually brush or comb it out while applying. Fence: I bought this in brown-waterproof. was there one in black?Maybe difficult to reach small lashes. i only do my top lashes because my bottom lashes are pretty long already, so i don't bother there. Verdict: will repurchase. i like the brush, volume and its waterproof. I use the oil-free eye makeup remover(liquid) from neutrogena to remove it. it takes awhile with a few wipes, but removes it. i might try a different eye makeup remover later.
Pros: gives good colour and cover on lashes(as name suggest) Standard mascara price. Cons: Can be clumpy/flaky if you try to keep reapplying it over(its not volumising so reapplying doesn't help.) Fence: It smudges so be careful not to rub your eyes, perhaps try the waterproof mascara. Verdict: good product if you just want the colour/natural look (so you don't have the dusty-eye look from your foundation/powder) Won't repurchase. i rather have a smudge-proof mascara(the product isn't at fault for this). its just an average product.
Reference: oily skin/acne prone, some dry skin spots in winter. Pros: Very hydrating/moisturizing, great for flaky/dry skin. Cheap product($5-7), long lasting. Cons: very Greasy. Product could do with repackaging concerning bacteria. (small tube would be good. like the clarisonic cleanser sizes.) Verdict: Would definitely repurchase. I have oily skin and i don't use this all over my face. but its my HG when i have a dry/flaky nose(when your sick) or dry spots in winter. just using a bit everyday/few hrs helps.
Moisturizers -Olay - Complete Defense Daily UV Moisturizer SPF 30 - Sensitive Skin
Tennyo 4/25/2010 2:40:00 AM
Reference: Oily/acne-prone skin(Oily Tzone), sensitive to sunscreens, pigmented/scar-prone. NC37-42, large pores,Asian skin Pros: SPF 30, sinks into your skin fairly well considering it has sun-protection in it. standard-moisturizing(not to greasy but also not overly hydrating if you have flaky skin, it won't fully moisturize/smooth your skin.) Good packaging, fairly decent price. Cons: A tiny bit greasy(SPF), It may have caused me a pimple or two but i cant be certain... (its not frequent, so i'm not sure if this is the product causing it) Verdict: I may repurchase in the summer/sunny-days when i need a higher SPF. But i prefer Olays Regenerist SPF15 lotion for everyday. it absorbs into my skin even better. Not greasy at all. 3-4stars
Primer/ Corrector -ModelCo - Fase Base - Skin Primer
Tennyo 4/25/2010 2:28:00 AM
Pretty cheap and Product last a very along time. you only need to use a little bit else product begins to 'fold'/clump together on your face. would consider repurchase, but i am trying other primers/brighteners.
Reference: NC37-42, using Medium +Pros:Good coverage, good for your 'off-days'. -Cons:Bad packaging, very messy. Needs more colors, sinks into pores, If you have oily skin it will make you look oily.(Tzone) =Verdict: Will not repurchase. will try other mineral powder. Makes me look to oily, not a good color-match and highlights pores.
Pressed Powders -Maybelline - Dream Matte Pressed Powder
Tennyo 4/25/2010 2:01:00 AM
Reference: I'm a NC37-42 (yellow based Asian skin) using Beige Medium 2-2.5. +Pros: Great setting powder, a little bit of colour, Product long lasting, Matte-look(good for oilyskin) -Cons:Packaging is silly, mirror should of been on top, i would like more colour selection. (perhaps medium yellow based-beige power) =Verdict: Might repurchase, but i will be trying other products.
Lip Treatments -Natio - Natio Moisturising Lip Balm SPF 30+
Tennyo 4/25/2010 1:39:00 AM
Pro: Great,non-greasy/sticky,Cheap$3.95,cute packaging, SPF 30+ and vitamin E. standard-pretty moisturizing. Con: The very first time you use/open it, it might smell just a bit or taste a bit powdery. but it disappears with use or perhaps just opening it. Will repurchase.
Sunscreen -Neutrogena - Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock SPF 30
Tennyo 9/28/2009 6:42:00 AM
+Pros: Non-oily and drys quickly/lightweight. good for hands and feet, because its non-greasy. -Cons: pricey, cream isn't as moisturizing/spreadable(so I'm assuming most people use it for their face else your gonna be using a lot of it all over your body), i believe it caused 2-3 pimples to pop-up on my face. it didn't totally break me out, but i cease using it. =Verdict: will not repurchase. sensitive/acne prone skin beware.
