Concealers -Maybelline - EverFresh Concealer
Tealeaves 6/26/2005 9:16:00 PM
Love this! I just bought the much raved about MAC select moisturecover (I had been using their select cover concealer under my eyes) and hated it! It settled into lines under my eyes-and I'm only 25! Then I saw that Rachel McAdams in the new Instyle uses this Maybelline concealer for dark circles. It is really fabulous-lasts all day, the colors are good, and the texture is fantastic and light. This is not a heavy duty concealer, but I do not wear anything but concealer and blush, and this looks natural but cancels the circles from lack of sleep. I really love it, and my MAC concealers have gone back :)

Treatments (Eye) -Dove - Fresh Radiance Anti-aging eye cream
Tealeaves 3/3/2005 9:45:00 AM
I love the texture of this eye cream! It feels like butter, and is perfect under concealer. I was going to buy Nivea Q10, but that only has SPF4, the Dove has SPF 8. I've only used this for 2 days so I can't attest to long term effects, but I love using it-even better than Korres!

Blush -LORAC - Powder Blush in Rose
Tealeaves 12/26/2004 8:23:00 PM
I am pale, and this blush just did not show up on my skin. My cheeks are naturally a little rosy, and I couldn't tell any difference once I applied this blush. It's very pretty in the pot though, and the texture is nice

Polishes -Essie - Potato Fields
Tealeaves 12/26/2004 8:10:00 PM
Ehh, this product left me lukewarm. For $6, I can get the same effect with clear polish. I didn't think it was anything special, but if you are looking for an extremely sheer polish to just add shine, I think you can find it cheaper than this.

Polishes -OPI - Chocolate Shake-Speare
Tealeaves 12/26/2004 7:52:00 PM
A new favorite of mine-this is a wonderful shimmery chocolate malt color. I especially love it on my toes, since I am revolting against red. Very pretty, goes on smooth and even, lasts long too. *edited to add: after reading others reviews, I must respectfully disagree that I see no yellow or peachiness. I am cool toned and pale, and this color does not wash me out.*

Polishes -Essie - Bond's Beige
Tealeaves 12/26/2004 7:50:00 PM
I love this! I was looking for a subtle color, tried Potato Fields (which might as well have been clear) but my second pick was Bond's Beige, and it is perfect. You can still see the half moons of your nails, but the polish gives them a pearly sheen and it camouflages any flaws. The description below is right on- a sheer vanilla sugar color. Not streaky at all, and lasts forever.

Blush -Cargo - Catalina
Tealeaves 12/24/2004 7:08:00 PM
OK, I am cool-toned, pale, with dark hair, and was looking for a blush as a quick pick me up. I really did not like this product. After reading the reviews, I was cautious when applying, and simply could not use this without looking clownish. It is just too bright for me. This is the least natural blush for a pale girl. After about 5 tries, I exchanged mine for Louisiana, and though that one is shimmery, I am a much happier camper!

Fragrances -Comptoir Sud Pacifique - Vanille Coco
Tealeaves 12/24/2004 7:04:00 PM
Love the scent, but as with all Comptoir Sud Pacifique, I hate the new aluminum packaging. I switched from my signature Vanille Abricot this summer to Vanille Coco, and immediately heard comments like "Mmmm...smells like coconuts" when I walked into a room. I personally love it as a change to Vanille Abricot, and I wore the Coco more over the summer.

Fragrances -Comptoir Sud Pacifique - Vanille Abricot
Tealeaves 12/24/2004 7:02:00 PM
I really love this stuff, and have rebought about 5 times I think. I always get compliments from everyone, but always comments like "What smells so good?", or "Smells like someone is baking!" I hate the new aluminum packaging, the nozzle gets stuck sometimes, whereas the beautiful turquoise blue bottles felt so much more elegant (and for $50 it should be!). I wish I could find a substitute for these reasons, but nothing so far has even come close. I don't feel like myself when I don't wear it! For a summery scent, the Vanille Coco is also a favorite, as an alternative to Vanille Abricot.

Blush -Tarte - Cheek Stain in Tipsy
Tealeaves 12/23/2004 3:26:00 PM
Hated this. I thought maybe people were exaggerating about the grittiness, but this product reminds me of rubbing The Body Shop's lipscuff on my cheeks. I am really pale and the color did not show up well on my cheeks, but it might have been because it hurt to apply it! Smelled good though, but that's about the only plus that I can think of for this product.

Styling Products -Frederic Fekkai - Glossing Cream with Olive Oil
Tealeaves 12/23/2004 12:11:00 PM
Ugh, I wish I didn't love this product so much. I bought the trial size, because I was trying to convince myself that the product would suck. Now I cannot be without it, and I have since bought the full size. My hair looks bouncy, shiny, and full with it, without it, I look like the Infusium 23 before picture. I only use a tiny amount on dry hair, that's the best way I have found. And I think the Olive Oil in it is also good for my hair. I have very thick, naturally wavy hair-- it really is as good as all the other reviewers say.

Lip Gloss -Paul & Joe - Rose Caramel 05
Tealeaves 12/23/2004 11:48:00 AM
Absolutely love this color! I bought it from Sephora.com and was pleasantly surprised-it is such a natural rosy color on my lips, plus it has a tiny silvery sheen to it. I personally love the brush applicator, and the packaging is so pretty in general. The texture is also unbelievable- I hate MAC lipglass and anything too sticky, but Paul & Joe gloss spreads on like butter! Plus, I really think it moisturizes, I have extremely dry lips and my lips are soft and smooth when the color wears off. I will probably buy this product over and over again! (FYI-I am fair with dark hair)
