I have no problem with the color results from this hair color; it's the scent that I cannot take. That overly floral, cloying scent not only stinks up my entire house (and it's not that small) but it also gives me scent-enduced migraines like nothing else. I haven't used this in about 7 years, and forgot the consequences of the odor. I used it to dye my hair last night and now, nearly 19 hours later, I can finally tolerate light again. I don't know what the smell is, but if they'd remove it, this would be an awesome product. Until then, I will avoid this like the plague.

Thankfully, in the past year, my skin has really calmed down. Maybe it's God's way of giving me a "bright side" to turning 30, but my acne has gone away for the most part (knocking on every piece of wood I can find... be right back.) Despite having only about 1 pimple every 3 months, I still have quite a few red spots and other discoloration from my previous battles with acne. I also have a large patch of sun damage (in the form of brown spots) on my forehead from stupidly using a tanning bed- ONCE!! Vile things. Anyway... this stuff has made all of my skin discoloration problems nearly invisible. The very worst of my red marks are now a very faint shade of pink. My sun spots are almost gone; there's just a teeny patch of brown left above my left eyebrow. You really can't see any discoloration, unless you are really close to my face. I'm not sure how this works, because I've used incredibly harsh peels before and none of them have given me the results this little bottle has. I've used it since March 1st and it's now March 15 and in 2 weeks, my skin has done a turn around. It's one of the the only products I've ever used consistently over 2 weeks because generally I don't see any result in products and give up on them. My skin is soft and I even went to the store without makeup on today. I also keep looking at myself in the mirror, unable to believe how smooth my skin looks! This hasn't done much for my pore size (they aren't huge, but a little larger than I'd like them to be) and it hasn't done anything for the shallow indent-type scars (I'm not sure anything can fix those) but it's done a miracle for my skin tone. I'd highly recommend this to others. I tried the Clinique Even Better and I used it for a month because it was so darn pricey and I wanted to see results and I never did. This $20 bottle of Olay Elixir has made a world of difference.

Mascara -Revlon - Revlon Grow Luscious Mascara

I'm surprised with all the trouble people are having this mascara. Like another reviewer said, I almost didn't try this because of all the negative things being said about it. However, I did try it and I'm so glad I did! I love it. It's not clumpy, messy, goopy, or stiff. My lashes ended up soft, super full, really long, and clump free. I didn't experience any flaking. It's one of the few drugstore mascaras that "blackest black" really means black and doesn't end up kind of gray. I'm not sure if it'll help my lashes grow, but without the stiffness of regular mascara, I can see myself losing a lot fewer eyelashes. Give this one a try... the stores usually have it on sale for a reasonable price.

Liquid -Revlon - PhotoReady Makeup

I love this foundation because it gives me really good coverage that naturally evens out my skin tone and stays put all day. Sometimes, I have to use a little bit of concealer where I have a blemish, but for the most part this really makes my skin look even and luminous. I don't really see this foundation as sparkly, but it does give me a "glow." I also think it's great because you can blend powder blush over it, without it getting streaky. I hated this the first time I used it and tried to spread it with my fingers, but since I've been putting it on with a makeup sponge, I've loved it. Will continue to use.

Eye Shadow -Almay - Intense i-Colour - Play up the Brown

I tried this for two days in a row and I really wanted to like it, but the brown shadow (for your crease) was too reddish and made me look sick. This eyeshadow definitely did bring out my eyes, but in a not so good way. Good lasting power though... even when I tried to wipe it off at work, it wouldn't really budge.

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast Length

I love this. It made my lashes look super defined; it was like you could see each and every eyelash I have- NO clumping whatsoever, and it made my eyelashes soooo long. They actually reached my eyebrows! It's amazing stuff. I loved regular Lash Blast, but this is so much better with the small brush because I can really get into the corners and create a big fan of lashes. A must-have for me!

I used this product last Thursday, so it's been 5 days since my peel. I used the 15% solution, and I followed the directions to a tee. I did one layer on my face, and then 5 minutes later, did a second layer on my cheeks, where I have shallow acne scarring. Before the peel, I had one (tiny) hormonal pimple on my face. Currently, my face is still peeling (mostly on my forehead, the tops of my cheeks, and on the lower half of my face- I have a 5 o'clock dead skin shadow. Not pretty.) I also have 6 glowing, super red pimples! I have two on my forehead, which NEVER breaks out and three on my left cheek and one on the right. I did the peel to make my face smoother, not give me more acne! I haven't had actual breakouts since I took accutane 5 years ago. This is the worst my skin's been since then. As for the peel itself, the first coat itched. The second, on my cheeks only, burned like crazy. Washing it off burned even worse! I got frosting on the sides of my chin, and my cheeks. For the next two days, I had the skin of an 80 year old- incredibly wrinkly- like crumpled up tissue paper. On Sunday, it peeled off my cheeks in sheets. The skin underneath is very pink and I'm just not sure this was the best idea for my skin. I'll update soon. Hopefully once the breakout clears and my skin is finally done peeling, I will look better. As of right now though, I look far worse than I did before the peel. :o( UPDATE: One week and a day after my peel I now have, are you ready, 17 pimples on my face. I'm more ashamed to leave the house now, than when I was actually peeling. I cannot believe what this peel did to me! I attribute the breakout to the peel, because, as I mentioned before, I only had one small pimple on my face. I haven't changed anything, nor have I added anything to my regular arsenal of makeup and skincare. This is really bad... I haven't looked like this in years and I will never consider doing another TCA peel again. I exfoliate regularly with a face scrub and I also use my Clarisonic nightly. That was enough to keep my face clear before and I'm sorry I messed with what was working. I'm afraid if it doesn't stop, I'll have to go back to the dermatologist. I've been virtually clear for 5 years... I can't believe this might have undone all the good Accutane did for me. I'm glad it works for some, but for me, this is a product I should steer clear from. I'm so ashamed of what I did to myself by using this. I keep looking in the mirror and getting so angry because I look horrible because I was stupid enough to put this stuff on my face! Coincidentally, my brother asked me to use some on a stretch mark he has on his arm, and it didn't do anything for him at all. We did one coat for 5 minutes the first night, and he said it itched only a little. It was not red at all. The next night, we used 2 coats of the 15% solution for 5 minutes each. Again, he felt an itch and it turned a little pink. This was 3 nights ago and there is no drying of his skin, no peeling, and no redness. I think this stuff is crap.

This product made me super dry. Every time I used it, my face felt so tight that I thought it was going to crack! Even after moisturizing, my skin was almost painful. I gave it a good try, but it just isn't for me.

I received a good sized sample of this with the purchase of a face wash. I used it for two days and I decided I really do not like it. It was very hard for me to get this to absorb into my skin, it left a waxy whitish cast to my skin, and it pilled up under my makeup. I don't know if the increased spf had something to do with the problems I had with this product, because I've used the same moisturizer with the spf 15 and it wasn't anything special, but it wasn't bad either. I had high hopes for this, because my facialist (is that a word?) told me to use spf 30 daily. I'll have to keep looking because this one just wasn't a winner in my book.

Really amazing stuff. Gives me an even tone and glow. My skin is so smooth when I use this, which I do about twice a week. Highly recommended to everyone with dull skin or clogged pores and those, like me, whose skin needs a little pick me up at times.

Toners -Pro Activ - Revitalizing Toner

I love this stuff. I believe it's literally saved my skin. I took Accutane three years ago and it worked well on my cystic acne, but I'd still get regular pimples and blackheads. Also, I had many red marks on my face from the previous acne. Bottom line: this stuff has kept all the blemishes away and has smoothed out the redness. I went without foundation today, for the first time in YEARS!! I'll hopefully never be without this toner. I feel it exfoliates just enough to be effective without making me dry. It also leaves my face feeling soooo smooth. I'm sorry it hasn't worked as well for many others, but maybe you just have to go through a "purge" first?

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast

This is the best mascara I've ever used-from the super expensive to the super cheap! It defines my lashes, giving me a pretty "fanned out" look. It also makes them really black, really long, and really gorgeous. My eyes are my best feature and this mascara makes them stand out even more! It's the best; beautiful lashes with NO clumping for relatively little money! My mom just bought her first tube cause I rave about it so much.

I got this as a free sample a week ago and have been putting it on every night (except one when I was too sleepy to do anything but wash my face) and I love it. I don't have a lot of skin breakouts, but whenever I do, they leave behind a red mark that lasts for weeks on end. With makeup on, my skin usually looks good, without makeup, my skin looks really splotchy. A small pimple or two a week really starts to add up when they leave behind red marks that last for a month, you know? I really believe that this stuff is helping speed up the fading process! When I began using it, I had a small breakout by the left side of my mouth and now it's completely gone and there is almost NO red marks. There is just a tiny pinkish dot. I don't have a ton of money, but I'll definitely be saving up to repurchase this once I'm out. The good news is that I don't have to use a lot to cover my face so the sample jar should last me quite awhile.
