Treatments (Eye) -RoC - Retinol correxion eye cream
Tashina 5/12/2013 9:43:00 PM
I have been using this for almost a year. I don't hate it. I bought it a few times. After all this time I have seen no improvement in my dark circles or fine lines. Nothing lasting or temporary. It moisturizes but is still meh. The moisture doesn't last more than a couple of hours. It's not terrible but I think there is a lot better out there. I don't really care if I get antiaging effects but I need more moisture. So I am on the hunt for a very moisturizing eye cream.
Primer/ Corrector -L'Oreal - Revitalift Miracle Blur

This is not for those with oily skin. Within an hour of putting this on my clean skin, I was super greasy. Especially on my chin and around my nose. The slots where I usually get oiliest but exacerbated by 10 and super fast. This does however give a smooth velvet look to you face. Hides the pores very well but didn't do much for my laugh lines or the line across the middle of my forehead. It blurred my freckles but I don't mind them. I can see this being for someone with dry skin and large pores and maybe very slight fine lines but not those who would probably really need it. I think it would make a nice primer for someone with dry skin. Not for me though.
Makeup Brushes -Sigma - F84 Angled Top Synthetic Kabuki
Tashina 4/27/2013 11:31:00 PM
I do not hate this brush at all. I love the hairs and the handle and everything about it really except the angle of the hairs. For me it makes it hard to use. It's difficult to explain. When I press it against my face the angle gets more angular and stretches too far lengthwise and makes it hard for me to use. Other than that it's a good brush. I totally want to try the F82 now even more after using this one. The quality has me hooked.
Makeup Brushes -Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman - Blush Brush
Tashina 4/27/2013 11:26:00 PM
This is the best blush brush. It distributes product evenly and blends without me having to try. It is super easy to wash and dries super fast. An hour after washing it I can use it again. I love they way it looks. Sleek and pretty. Will definitely be getting a back up and I absolutely want to try more brushes from the line.
Treatments -L'Oreal - EverCreme Deep Nourishing Masque

I have fine, color treated dry hair. This is like a miracle for hair. I am so in love. I use this once a week and it doesn't weigh my hair down but it feels like new hair for days after I use it. Bonus, it smells so amazing. I cannot get enough of it. I sniff at my hair all day after using this. Seriously L O V E!
The name of this product is misleading. I expected a thicker very moisturizing product. Not the case. This is very thin and not very moisturizing. I love the Simple line but this is one product that disappointed me. I won't repurchase
I received this in a swap and I had never seen it in person. I googled swatches and decided I would give it a try. When I got it I was very disappointed that it looked nothing like I thought it would. I thought it was a pale pink but it is in fact a pale lavendar. I was bummed and didn't intend on even putting it on but something said try it. So I put it on very lightly with no foundation. I was going to my daughters soccer game so I wanted a natural not trying too hard kind of look. This was so perfect. I was immediately surprised at how pretty it is. It doesn't come off looking like a lavendar blush. It is sheer with a beautiful irridescence. It gives off a pinky lavendar and is just amazing. Even when I built it up a little it was still so pretty and didn't be ome overbearing. I am fair and neutral and can usually pull off either warm or cool as long as it's not overwhelming and tbis was just perfect. Made my freckles look pretty I stead of looking like just brown spots. Would definitely purchase this. Even though it is overpriced.
I cannot comment on the actual formula of the mascara. The brush caught my eye and so I tried it. It's impossible to use. The brush is not practical at all. It is awkward. I made a mess tryjng to get it on my lashes. It's ridiculous. So, the brush is what killed it for me even before I had a chance to think about the formula. I couldn't even figure out how to approach my eye with it. Total waste.
This little baby has is one of the products I have discovered lately that have changed my whole makeup routine. My makeup looks so much better because of this. It blends for me. I don't have to do anything but bounce this thing off my face. I still love to used brushes with my thinner foundtlations but for my thicker creamier formulas this is amazing. It's so cute too. I love just squishing it in my hand wet or dry. It's adorable. I have always been blending-impaired but with this you wouldn't know it. My 2 complaints and the reason why I gave this a 4 and not a 5. First, it does soak up a lot of product. I can't use this with more liquidy foundations because it soaks it all up. Even wet. It's a lot better with the thicker foundations but still soaks up a bit. Second, my word are they expensive. I have luckily been able to swap for a couple of backups, but I can't depend on swapping all the time and I can't afford to have to buy them all the time. So hopefully I can get a good 3 months or so out of these. I think I can handle spending the money a couple of times a year. But seriously GEEZE. I see no reason for them to cost so much. One of the reasons I boycotted high end makeup for so long and then I started swapping and my town got a sephora and.....it was all over for me ;)
I said no to repurchase on this only because the lightest color is a bit too dark. If they had one shade lighter I would buy it again. This had a decent color payoff and did even my skin out nicely. It wasn't greasy. I have oily skin and this did not add oilyness to it. It looks nice on and smooth. Not matte but not shiny. It soaks in fast. This would make a nice base for a light foundation to add some coverage. I don't want to be rude to the person who reviewed this just before me, but the fair was not pink at all. It is yellow. It wasn't orange though. For reference I am slightly lighter than NC15 but can pull it off in the Studio Sculpt and I am a Matchmaster 1.0, UD Naked .5, I mix Nars Siberia and Gobi. I did have a complaint about the packaging. This is a little on the runny sixe and the hole in the top of the tube is huge so the first time I opened it, I shook the bottle and then opened it and it dribbled out on my hand and floor. It needs a much smaller hole or a pointed top like the Loreal magic bb has.
Primer/ Corrector -Urban Decay - De-Slick Oil Control Makeup Setting Spray
Tashina 3/14/2013 10:32:00 PM
I am loving this product. I spray before and after I do my foundation and it has hugely improved the wear time of all my foundations and imroved the oil slick that is my face. I received a little sample bottle in a swap and HAD to go get the full size immediately. I am very glad they improved the packaging. It's much nicer looking now. My gripe with this is the price. It's truly ridiculous. The only saving grace there is that it will last for quite a while. The little sample bottle lasted me about a month so I think the full size should be good for at least 8 months. Overall this is a big winner for me.
Highlighters -Sephora - Highlight Compact Powder - Rose
Tashina 2/18/2013 6:31:00 PM
This is the prettiest highlighter. I love love love it. It is soft and glowy but not greasy looking. I can use it with any blush and it helps make my skin look alive. I don't like the smell but it goes away after application and I wish the packaging had a mirror but I do love seeing the star stamp design in powder. It's pretty to look at. I will buy it again if I ever run out. A little goes a long way.
I had the same problem with this packaging as I did with the primer. Every time I opened it some product oozed out before I squeezed. I had the lightest dhade in the line which is Cream Ivory. It was a lot darker than I expected. I googled a lot of swatches and reviews on this and I thought this would be a good color for me but it is not. So if you are pale or even a little fair, skip this one. The color gets orange as I wear it. It is not compatible with oily skin. Made me a lot oilier than usual. It wore off in about 4-5 hours on me. Overal not a good match for me.
Primer/ Corrector -Laura Mercier - Foundation Primer
Tashina 1/31/2013 7:25:00 PM
I don't feel like this did anything. My makeup didn't hold up any longer. It didn't look any better on. There was no oil control. Expensive for nothing. I look only used it twice but what sealed the deal was every time I opened it product started to ooze out before I even squeezed it. Pros: it didn't make anything worse. I didn't break out or get oilier and my makeup didn't wear off faster. But I would expect more from such a well known brand. So far everything I have tried from this brand has not worked for me. I'm sad.
Lip Treatments -Burt's Bees - Ultra Moisturizing Lip Treatment with Kokum Butter
Tashina 1/18/2013 7:12:00 PM
This smells weird. It is not moisturizing. It never really soaks in. It just kind of sits there. It tastes weird. What really put me off before I even used it was I had to squeeze out half a tube of air before any product came out. It was only half full tube. That is garbage. Especially since BB's are not cheap. I took a pic and assed it to this product so you can see the tube that I used twice was only half full. It's a side view.
