Pros: - non comedogenic - oil free - available in drugstores - no SPF to clog pores - sayliliac acid (1%) - brings acne to a surface quickly - no redness after - $9 - heals hyperpigmentation/scars Cons: - dries FAST - wand applicator/unsanitary - doesn't completely cover redness - may dry out skin slightly - a little too light for my skin Edit: I like this a lot. I'm actually considering trying the matching foubdation with almost identical ingredients but with only 0.6% acid
This foundation made my skin flawless and yet oily at the same time. I love how all of the silicones glide on so well & give pretty outstanding coverage. However, this product was the foundation I was using when cystic acne became an issue. My dermatologist said SPF in makeup can really clog pores & add more shine. He suggested an SPF free foundation & a SPF before applying makeup. Also, the price is insane for the small amount that you get. It's really a good foundation if you have dry skin or if you are fighting the appearance of wrinkles. I wanted to claim this as my HG but sadly this wasn't the case
Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand - Squalane Oil- Olive Derived

In 2 days it gave me the worst blackheads (which I normally don't get anywhere but my nose). So many clogged pores! & it worsened any existing acne to insane proportions. Acne prone/sensitive skin, beware!
**Edit: I used this for 3 nights in a row but on the 4th day my nose was peeling as well as my cheeks. No change in blackheads. & i think this medicine has caused stomach issues, since it is an antibiotic & your skin abosorbs it. ****** GOLD. PURE GOLD. Packaging is a little annoying cause I hate dipping my hands in it nightly but I understand the pharmacy mixes it when you pick it up. This does not leave my skin red like Retin A did (omg never again). It can be drying if you use it a few days in a row & your skin may "itch" for approx 30 minutes after application. This clears up my cysts in 1/2 the time. I can't speak for its work on blackheads but I plan to try it on them and edit my review. The best part? It's $9 with insurance & the jar lasts 3 months (before it suggests replacing). The BEST.
Since a foundation recently ruined my skin (thanks, covergirl!) I'm super cautious about what I put on my face. Before taking the plunge & smothering my face in this product I spot tested it on my arm. * did not cover anything (even freckles) * gave me a red "rash"? (Small bumps) within 2 hours I don't see how this would offer any coverage. & isn't that the point of foundation? For $40 bucks I was disappointed in this product. I thought this would be my HG but sadly my skin does not like it.
Liquid -Maybelline - SuperStay Makeup - New Version

I loved this foundation because it offered more coverage than my previous one. However, I was in denial of just how bad it was. 1. My skin looked orange (even when I shook it up) 2. It did not cover any discoloration (looked purple vs red) 3. My face was never oily & I have oily skin (so it was trapping oil) 4. Rubbed off onto EVERYTHING 5. Faded throughout the day (after 8 hours it was gone) 6. $11.99 for a bottle that goes quickly. Also, it's hard to not spill when dispensing & you cannot see how much product is left 7. Seemed to cake around eyebrows & bumps This foundation was the best drugstore foundation I've ever tried. But now I've moved onto just wearing Almays clear complexion concealer instead of wearing foundation. My skin loves it so far! My suggestion is if you can, do the same, as it prevents clogged pores/new cosmetic breakouts
I bought the travel size before commuting to a full size & I'm glad that I did. My face did not burn or tingle when I spot tested this. However, it did clog my pores where I used this. It's been a week & they're still there sadly. I wanted this scrub to work for me.
This is a BEAUTIFUL color. However, it did not last 3 hours on my eyelids. Also, I had to replace this twice because the packaging broke & the eyeshadow shattered in my makeup bag.
a gray, smeary mess. worst eyeshadow ever. bright side: may be a good eye primer
Pros - cheap price - the compact did not break Cons - cakey when used more than once (touch ups) - small clogged pores/blackheads :(
Pressed Powders -Cover Girl - Clean Oil Control Pressed Powder

Packaging: I've broken a lot of compacts over the years & this one was the worst. The hinges broke off a lot and the powder shattered in my purse. Application/Use: This does control oil well but it also caused my skin to breakout. Usage length: 2-3 years (before I realized this was a problem for my skin)
This foundation was a color match for my skin but it covered NOTHING. zip. zilch. nada. I think it did break me out but I cannot say for certain. Its good if you want to look like you're not wearing makeup.
Shampoo -Clairol - Herbal Essences - Color Me Happy

I used Herbal Essence as a child so when I needed a new shampoo this brand was top of the notch, in my mind. My grandma swears by this brand and has used it forever. Sadly, this shampoo left my oily, non-color treated hair very dry. By the second day I had to discontinue the use for a while. When I tried this shampoo again I noticed a LOT of clogged pores (and eventually breakouts) on my chest, neck, and hairline = where my hair touched. I didnt realize an ingredient was the problem until I tried another herbal essence shampoo & had the same problem. The corn starch in the shampoo, when wet, harbors bacteria and is not good for acne-prone skin. I would suggest anyone considering this shampoo to use with caution and discontinue if clogged pores arise
This is one of the very first concealeds I tried. I did find that it took a few layers to cover my blemishes but it never broke me out. The brush was always pushing out too much product so I eventually gave up on this & moved onto other concealers. However, oil based concealers made my skin SO MUCH worse. I'm thinking of going back to this concealer & ditching foundation. It's great for undereye circles but its not the best for blemishes. Still, it won't worsen your skin so I guess it's better in the long term. Great product!
This is the best mascara I have ever used. It lengthens while looking super natural. It didn't, however, give me any volume though. Still, this product is on point
