Liquid -Guerlain - 'Lingerie de Peau' Invisible Skin-Fusion Foundation
rated 5 of 5

I like this foundation so much that I've bought the cream version too. It's def not a full coverage foundation. I think it's between an TM and a foundation. It gives coverage, but you can still see your own skin, wich is a good thing! For those with oily skin, this isn't for you. Tanja

Eye Primer -Unlisted Brand - Hema - Eyeshadow Base
rated 5 of 5
Tanja1801 2/1/2012 1:40:00 PM

Wow, this cost about 4.50 EURO! I've read a couple of good reviews about this product and I was a bit sceptical (how can an eyeshadow primer that costs € 4.50 be any good, right?) Well, it is!! The best I have ever used. It does everything an eyeprimer should do: it makes my e/s stay on longer, prevents it from creasing and makes every e/s more vibrant..... but you cannot get EVERYTHING fot that price. The packaging is horrible (lipgloss-like) and that makes the product dry out after a few times of using is (due to the air you pump in every time you close the tube). But for that price I'm willing to put the product in a little container. No prob! Tanja

Foundations -Helena Rubinstein - Spectacular Foundation
rated 4 of 5
Tanja1801 4/22/2011 11:48:00 AM

When I was younger I used to use Spectacular and Color Clone. Then, when I got a job (=more money) I used to try out all the different brands. I was never satisfied though, but I forgot all about Helena Rubinstein... until now. I rebought Spectacular and Color Clone. They are both great foundation. Color Clone is a bit more than a tinted moisterizer. Spectacular offers more coverage and stays put much longer. I both have them in shade 23 Biscuit, a very natural non-pinky color. Tanja

Powder -Sisley - Botanical Pressed Powder Soft Glow
rated 5 of 5
Tanja1801 4/20/2011 3:27:00 PM

First of all... the pricetag for this powder... MY GOD, I can't believe I payed more than 60 euros for it! I wonder why their products are so pricey (I guess of the natural ingredients?? Everything in nature comes for free right?? I don't get it) So okay, beside the price... I have to admit, it's worth it! I was going to buy the EL Lucidity pressed powder to set my foundation, but I couldn't find that powder so I asked the SA for a good pressed powder to set my foundation but without adding color. Normally I don't ask SA's to help me (we all now that some of them have no clue what they are talking about) but this time I had a lovey lady who helped me. She immediatly showed me the Sisley powder. I told her it was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too expensive but she kind of forced me to try it out. I immediatly felt that the powder was finely mild and when I saw the soft sparkle/glow it had... I had to have it! When I got home, I couldn't wait to put this all over my face. It's kind of stupid to tell but just applying the powder made me happy. The whole evening I couldn't get myself not watching how good I looked in the mirror!! It's the first powder I ever bought that I actually can tell the difference between with or without it. I can't explain it, it adds a glow to the skin... a nice glow, not a glittery glow (god, I hate that!) But... is it worth the pricetag? If I gotta be honest (and I'm ashamed to say this) but YES! It's not one of those products that you buy, you use 3 times and then forget about it. It's that good that you will throw away all of your powders and use this one instead (yes, all of your powders because this baby controls oil, adds a nice glow to your face and makes your foundation last longer!!) About the compact... I love it. It has the dimensions of an iPhone (so it is nice to hold in your hand) and it has a large mirror (finally one that you can use!!) The sponge that comes with it... well it's crap and for that kind of money I would at least expect a brush... but it's all about the powder and believe me... this powder is SUPER! Tanja

Cleansers -Unlisted Brand - Kruidvat Pure & Nature Sensitive Cleaning Lotion
rated 5 of 5
Tanja1801 10/25/2010 6:18:00 AM

I've tried different types of cleaning lotions for my sensitive skin. They were not all bad (especially not the ones from Avene). The products from Avene and other brands were good for my sensitive skin, but they were not good for taking off make up. I always felt that I had to use a ton of product to get my foundation off my face. The Pure & Nature line is a new line from Kruidvat and I thought "I'm gonna try it". At first I was a bit hesitated, it is sooooo cheap but when I tried it, it was great! It is good for my skin + it takes off ALL make up! If you are in Belgium or the Netherlands grab a bottle of this!! Tanja

Eye Makeup Remover -Unlisted Brand - Kruidvat - Eye Make up Remover Pads - Oil
rated 5 of 5
Tanja1801 10/25/2010 6:14:00 AM

I've tried different types of eye make up remover but I couldn't find one that didn't leave me with panda eyes in the morning. When my eye make up remover from Vichy ran out, I tried this one... I thought I give this a try. It's so cheap!! It takes my eye make up off like a dream! No more panda eyes in the morning! And I love the fact that it contains oil (there is also a version without oil). If you live in Belgium or the Netherlands, grab a box of these pads!! Tanja

Moisturizers -Nivea - Visage Sensitive Balance day care for sensitive skin [DISCONTINUED]
rated 4 of 5
Tanja1801 10/8/2010 4:00:00 PM

It's true what Nivea says about this product: it's great for sensitive skin! It is also very moisturizing (sensitive skin is most of the time also dry to very dry). I gave it 4 lippies instead of 5 because it doesn't work that good if you are applying foundation over this just because it is so moisturizing. If you are not wearing make up (but then you would probably not be reading this on MAKEUPalley :D) then this is perfect for you.

Blush -Chanel - Orchid Rose [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5
Tanja1801 10/8/2010 3:57:00 PM

Oh thank you so much MakeUpAlley for this discovery! I was always afraid to use blush, because I have a natural blush of my own (a very very light rosacea) and I thought that using a blush this would accentuate that. I've tried a few colors (from other brands) and they all afirmed the idea a had of using a blush on my skin... till I tried this one! It gives me a nice and more important NATURAL color that it doesn't look like I'm wearing make up. I've heard that the European version is another color than the US one, I don't know what the difference is between them but the European color is really natural and beautiful. It's baked, so you really have to swirl your brush a couple of times on the product but I like this. I can easily decide how much color I want and I can slowly build it up. I never end with to much blush :-) If you want a natural looking blush, go for this one! It's not cheap (my God, I've payed almost as much as my foundation of YSL) but it's worth is. It goes with everything and every look you're going after.

Eyeliner -Guerlain - Divinora Liquid Eyeliner
rated 2 of 5
Tanja1801 10/8/2010 3:47:00 PM

I gave this product 2 lippies instead of one because I'm not sure if this product is hard to work with for everybody or if it's just me who can not handle the brush... The brush is so fine, you really have to have a steady hand and everytime (really every time!) I've tried to put this on, I end up with eyeliner on my lashes and then I blink and... well you guess the rest. Maybe if you are good at applying liquid eyeliner, you like this but I hate it!! I'm still in love with the my Lancome's Artliner (the eyeliner for people who are a bit clumpsy HAHA) Tanja

Eye Shadow -Chanel - Quadra Eye Shadow - 19 Enigma
rated 4 of 5
Tanja1801 10/8/2010 3:42:00 PM

Oh Enigma, I love you!! This is by far the most beautiful pallet Chanel ever made. They should make this permanent but it's LE so if you're after it... hurry up because it's very popular. The colors in the pallet are special and they go perfect together! I have a few pallets but there always seem to be a color in it that I don't use and I end up wondering why they decided to toss that specific color in. Not so for this pallet. Everything matches and makes sense. Staying power is great. Don't know about the American version, but the European one is backed and therefore harder to blend but that should not be a problem. Although the colors are dark and it's meant to create a smokey eye, I find that you can easily wear this overday. Of course you can make it more intense for a night out. Tanja

Foundations -Chanel - Pro Lumiere Professional Finish Make-Up ] [DISCONTINUED]
rated 2 of 5
Tanja1801 10/8/2010 3:34:00 PM

Oh no, no, no, no... Chanel's gone wrong with this baby. The only reason I gave it 2 instead of 1 lippie is because the foundation looks pretty amazing when you put it on in the morning... but my God, after a few hours of wearing it it becomes more then a mess... I looked in the mirror after 3 hours and what I saw was not pretty. There were dry patches on my face where the foundation was still visible and at some places on my face there was no foundation left! So I guess this is not meant for dry skin! But okay, I have to admit it, Chanel never doens't claim on the packaging nor the website that this is a longwearing foundation. In fact, it was made for professional use so I can see models wearing this and looking great for a while. If you're thinking of buying this foundation, please ask a sample and try this foundation for a day or so. Tanja

Liquid -Yves Saint Laurent - TEINT RESIST Long Wear Transfer Resistant Foundation
rated 5 of 5
Tanja1801 10/8/2010 3:25:00 PM

Oh yes, yes, yes. I've finally find my HG foundation! I've tried everything (Estee Lauder, Clinique, Chanel, Dior, Maybelline, ...) and they were not all bad. But there was always something about them that made me throw them away (oh yes, I dare to throw away almost full bottles of foundation). I really like the staying power of Estee Lauder's Double Wear but I did not like the mask effect it gave me. I also like the Nude foundation from Dior, it gave me a flawless complexion but the staying power isn't great. Well, now I have find the ONE foundation that has all that! It's staying power is not great, it's UNBELIEVABLE! I put it on in the morning and I don't need to look in the mirror throughout the day to check my makeup! It doesn't change color during the day and it doesn't become an oily mess after a few hours of wearing. The coverage is light to medium but you can certainly build up the intensity were you need more. It doesn't look fake nor will it look like you have a thick layer of foundation on your face. Actually, I can't rave enough about this!! Packaging is like all foundations, with a pump, so no mess. The packaging looks nice, but nothing special. Concerning the color choise... I'm wearing number 4 it matches my skin tone almost perfectly. It's yellow based, but that's what I like. I'm so glad my search for a good foundation stops right now. (ps I was so amazed by it's staying power that I've tried to sleep with it, see how it would look on me in the morning and believe me... I looked just the same as when I got to bed... really... I've never seen such a longlasting foundation!!!) So... PROS: ++++++ longlasting!!! ++++++ buildable coverage ++++++ no need for touch ups during the day ++++++ looks natural in EVERY light CONS: Really, I can't find anything that I don't like about it... Maybe the price?? But hey, it's not always like this, but good products come with a high pricetag. Tanja

Eye Primer -Elizabeth Arden - Eye Fix Primer
rated 5 of 5
Tanja1801 3/14/2010 2:26:00 PM

I live in Belgium so make is more expensive here. I payed €23 for this. I'm so jealous all you American girls can get this at 6 dollars. Inspite of that, I love this product. Eyeshadow always creases on my eyelids no matter what kind of brand. With this on my eyeshadow stays put throughout the day. I admit that after 8 hours or so the eyeshadow begins to fade with this on, but it leaves a nice sheen on my eyes (hey, it's better than creasing) Would rebuy this thing. Love the packaging. It's hygienic.
