Eyeliner -Prestige - Total Intensity Eyeliner in Strong Slate
TacoFlavoredKisses 6/21/2012 9:00:00 PM
HOLY wow. I grabbed this e/l at Ulta based on some raves on the boards... This is easily one of the best eyeliners I have ever used. Besides the fact that this color is the perfect shade of charcoal/slate grey with, not glitter, not shimmer, just like a shiny silvery sheen... This e/l is very, very soft. It glides on so super easy. Thats when I thought for sure it would be smudgy and never stay on. WRONG. It dries SO nicely, and stays put. It can be smudged when first applied, if you want to achieve that look, but once it sets, it's SET. I'm so excited- $5 for an e/l that, IMO, is better than any MUFE, UD e/l I've used! I want to go get the other colors. This is now my absolute favorite eyeliner. Thanks MUA! I would have never even thought to try out this BRAND, let alone this exact product! :)

Eyeliner -Bobbi Brown - Long Wear Eye Pencil - Black Plum
TacoFlavoredKisses 4/4/2012 9:35:00 PM
The website says this is a pencil with the benefits of the Long Wear Gel Liner, and lasts 12 hours. I bought this in Black Plum, and could not be happier with this e/l purchase! It goes on SO easily, glides flawlessly, you'd think it would smudge like hell because it's so smooth and soft going on, but once it's on, it ON and it does not budge! If you want a smudged look, you better smudge FAST because this will set and STAY!! Also, I have yet to find an eyeliner that will actually LINE and STAY on my water line... I have bad allergies that affect my eyes- itchy, watery, etc, and I have tried UD 24/7, MUFE Aqua Liners, you name it! I thought the previously named two were pretty good until I tried this BB one, and it just blows those two out of the water, seriously. This is the perfect alternative to a harsh black liner- a deep Plum, looks like Chanel Cassis (too bad Cassis doesn't wear like this one!) VERY happy to have found this eyeliner... I will definitely be buying more!

Mascara -Tarte - Gifted Amazonian Clay Smart Mascara
TacoFlavoredKisses 4/2/2012 4:07:00 AM
I'm surprised at the negative reviews here! This mascara gad to be reviewed- I usually only review when I absolutely LOVE something or absolutely hate it... This I love. This is a wet formula, but not TOO wet to where it slides off or smudges... a little goes a long way- You can use the same mascara on the wand for both eyes and you'll have plenty. The color is black enough, and somewhat glossy even. It gives super long, separated lashes- NO clumps or spider lashes at ALL. It wears well without flaking. I've been impressed with both Tarte's mascaras- Lights, Camera, Lashes as well as this one :) I bought Hourglass mascara at the same time, and this is by far, a lot better- that one is clump-central and gives me spider lashes galore. Blah. UPDATE- The formula is kind of wet, which is nice because your lashes stay flexible and soft, but it takes a while to really DRY... If you apply two coats, I'd wait a bit before applying the second coat :)

Eye Shadow -Bobbi Brown - Long Wear Cream Eye Shadow in Cement
TacoFlavoredKisses 3/31/2012 11:42:00 PM
Just like the previous review says- You need to apply these cream e/s's very thin and light, and then build from there if necessary. That way you can avoid creasing. THIS color is a MUST have! I am SO done with MAC Paint Pots. UGHHH, these make MAC Paint Pots seem like complete trash. This color is so pretty, and yet so basic and simple- It is like a Putty/Gray/Beige- Wearing this alone on the eyelid just makes your eyelid look FLAWLESS- I have worn this alone, nothing else, and it just makes me look so much more polished. The shade is not sparkly or shimmery in any way- this is a matte shade. I love, love LOVE these cream e/s's- and like I said, this one is a must-have!

Eye Shadow -Bobbi Brown - long-wear cream shadow in Sand Dollar
TacoFlavoredKisses 3/24/2012 1:48:00 AM
I have fallen in love with Bobbi Brown lately- Does that mean I'm old?? LOL! Just kidding. I especially love these little pots of joy- the long wear cream shadows!! Sand Dollar is the perfect, must-have neutral that is perfect for a wash on the lid when you have absolutely no time but want to look polished and pretty- OR this can be used as a blending/transition color from a darker crease color to fade it out a bit... LOVE! Just barely shimmery... just barely pigmented- But enough to make a nice difference!!

Liquid -Bobbi Brown - Skin Foundation SPF 15
TacoFlavoredKisses 3/22/2012 12:29:00 AM
Wow, this foundation is EXACTLY what I never thought I needed. Now that I have found it and worn it, I know that this is all I need- And what I mean by that, is, I never knew if I needed a tinted moisturizer, or a medium-coverage, etc... This foundation, Bobbi Brown Skin, is like the most perfect, almost sheer, very thin formula... But here's the thing- Being as thin as it was, it was pigmented enough to do an AMAZING JOB of toning OUT all of my redness and make my complexion look snooth, even, and flawless! I'm not one to struggle with acne, tho (thanks, High School Accutane)! My only real issues are the un-even skin tone, redness, a few broken capillaries, and small flaws. But when I look at my face, fully finished, it does not look thick, or cakey, or heavy. It looks like my OWN skin- sheer, fine, and just.... PERFECTED!!! I love this stuff forever. I dare say it is better than Giorgio Armani LSF! My skin is dry, but this makes my skin feel soft and dewy!

Fragrances -Prada - Candy EDP
TacoFlavoredKisses 3/18/2012 7:23:00 AM
I love this scent- it is a sweet yet sophisticated scent with caramel and vanilla notes, as far as I can detect. Maybe some amber... It's a gorgeous scent, powdery on the dry down, but MY GOD where is the staying power?? I hate that! You pay $100 for a perfume, you expect it to still smell after an hour!!! GRRRR. Super cute bottle design, however!

Treatments (Eye) -Shiseido - Benefiance Concentrated Anti-wrinkle Eye Cream
TacoFlavoredKisses 3/15/2012
Seriously this is IT. I am one of the driest ppl I know... I'm paranoid about getting older, looking older, wrinkles, crows feet, etc ... I had been using Shiseido Future Solution Eye and Lip Contour Cream which is about 4x pricier than this one, and I do believe this one delivers even better results. I find I reach for this more during the day- it preps my under-eye area so beautifully- Super hydrated, silky smooth, and the BEST smooth canvas for applying concealer! Your under-eye concealer will go on smooth and will look dewy and fresh- never cakey, as long as you had used this eye cream beforehand. I swear. It is rich and yet it still has enough fluidity that it just sinks right into your skin- No waiting forever to begin applying your makeup. The Future Solution which I mentioned that I also used is OK, I'm not complaining- it's just so very rich, it barely feels like it's sinking in and doing anything. I will likely choose this one from now on. It comes in a tiny pot, and they give you a cute little "scoop" for those who don't want to contaminate their cream :)

Mascara -TheBalm - Cheater
TacoFlavoredKisses 3/14/2012 9:56:00 PM
I'm kind of in shock at how amazingly awesome this mascara is. I mean, the tube is this plain, jenky looking tube like if you were to make your own mascara, LOL! It looks simply GENERIC. I was NOT expecting much. However- Today I was in my car on my way to see my man, and needed mascara, and saw this in my purse as one that I'd wanted to try when I got around to it... WHOA!! It gave me the blackest, darkest, longest lashes- perfectly separated, great volume... and the best part- I could build and build without it looking chunky or clumpy. My lashes looked like falsies. I kept "looking down" and glancing in my rear-view mirror to catch a glimpse of the way my lashes looked when my eyes were (sort of) closed. Another thing which is muy importante- this did not flake off or get crispy. My lashes are so soft and flexible, it feels like I have no mascara on! Plus, I took a nap in the late afternoon, woke up, no flakies! I am just amazed. I'm stunned. I think this will be hard to find, because it seems like TheBalm is going bye-bye- it's been in Marshalls and TJ Maxx a lot lately- and that would stink- so I think I'll stalk those stores for some back-up's! Gotta try this one, especially because it's not priced too bad, either!

Brows -Laura Mercier - Brow Definer
TacoFlavoredKisses 3/12/2012 1:46:00 PM
I completely forgot to review this one- weird because I reach for this daily!! It is the perfect little pot of soft color that can be applied with an angled brow brush using little hairstrokes or more bold, whatever you like. It is so versatile and so amazing! My favorite SA at Neiman Marcus turned me on to this (and he works at GA)!! I have this in "soft". It's cool/neutral enough for someone as fair and blonde and cool as I am- ALTHOUGH I've been wanting to try this in the lighter shade. Love it! Will always have this in my stash :) And I completely agree with what LUVrascal says below- it adheres and stays put really well, no smudgng, and it will probably only need to be re-purchased once it gets old and dry... UPDATE- I just got this in "Soft" which is much better suited to blonde hair/fair skin... it is soft and neutral, and sort of taupe. No red undertones whatsoever. Definitely NOT warm.

Lipstick -MAC - Pink Plaid
TacoFlavoredKisses 3/11/2012 10:03:00 PM
Just like a reviewer below mentioned, Snob and St Germain were NOT looking good on me... Tried on Pink Plaid and WOW! Perfect for me... fair skinned/cool toned... It's a nice medium/mauve pink with slight violet undertones, and it's matte, and it just looks SO nice! One of my favorites :) I'm not usually a fan of MAC l/s... This one's nice!

Bronzers -Guerlain - Terracotta Mosaic
TacoFlavoredKisses 3/11/2012 6:40:00 AM
This was, of course, a Summer 2012 Limited Edition- Thats how I get suckered in- but oh my WOW this is a beautiful product if I've ever seen one! This is so intricate and gorgeous, it makes me not want to touch it, for fear of taking away from it's perfection! Sometimes I think I am more of a collector or a hobbyist of makeup... anyway... I finally gave it a go on my face, and oh wow, did this look beautiful! I am very cool/fair and blonde, so I typically use the Guerlain Terracotta Blondes 01 which is their lightest bronzer for us white girls :/ However, this one was not overbearing or too dark. Instead it gave a gorgeous, sun-kissed look, but with a GLOW! The highlighting particles inside the Mosaic are sooo pretty- there was no sparkle, per se, but like I said, more of a true GLOW almost as if from within. I am so very pleased I was able to locate one of these babies before they were sold out... I went through a lot to get a hold of this one.... and if I ever could, I'd even buy another just as a back-up. I doubt I'd ever finish this, since the compact itself is SO HUGE (almost twice as large around as the regular bronzers- I'd say about 5-6" in circumference), but it'd be nice to be able to keep one in pristine condition as a collectors item. I know, I'm ridiculous :) I may have missed out on Cruel Gardenia but I think I made up for it with this one :) Some say that the smell is overpowering and "too much", but I know it as the typical, signature Guerlain scent, and I absolutely love it. This particular item does seem stronger scented than a lot of other Guerlain items... The packaging was just "OK" and I gave it a "4" because it definitely didn't deserve a "5"- For the price you pay for this thing, you'd expect a nice, sturdy packaging. But, no. The flip-top lid is quite thin and flimsy- easily broken, I'm sure, as I've broken my regular Terracotta Blondes... and that was a LITTLE better packaged... Thats my only gripe. But I don't care. I am enamored of this beautiful Mosaic bronzer!

Treatments -Guerlain - Abeille Royale Youth Serum Firming Lift Wrinkle Correction
TacoFlavoredKisses 3/10/2012 2:53:00 AM
This is a beautiful serum. It is not watery and clear, it is rich and opaque white, but still very much fluid... it sinks into the skin and leaves skin firm and soft and looking radiant. I'm liking this entire line. I'm wondering why there are not more reviews? There is a scent, but it is not overpowering, as some Guerlain products CAN be... it's very light and nice. One of the top several ingredients is Pure Royal Jelly concentrate... I will likely but this again. I have no reason why I wouldn't!

Lipstick -MAC - Viva Glam Nicki
TacoFlavoredKisses 3/10/2012 1:48:00 AM
This is such a fun, bright pink, almost like a HOT PINK color- Ppl say it has a bit of coral, and I think thats part of what makes it look almost NEON, but on my fair skin, it doesn't pull coral whatsoever. It just looks like an extremely bright pink. I like it. And MAC's l/s are not usually my favorites- In fact, I really don't like them that much- they are usually dry and just "meh", but this one is actually not dry at all! I have a photo above with the color on my fair skin to see how it looks in contrast to others with pigment in their skin :/

Polishes -Zoya - Kennedy
TacoFlavoredKisses 3/8/2012 6:59:00 AM
A pretty pale beige- kind of putty color with a teeny touch of lavender- definitely toned cool enough for my pale skin to actually have it look good on my hands and not like death. Two coats makes the color opaque, shiny, no streakies... Very understated and chic.
