Eye Shadow -Ulta - Sunburst
TRiNASAURUS_REX 8/23/2006 2:52:00 AM
I thought this sucked. I believe this is the only review with this low of a rating from me. This has no pigmentation whatsoever for me no matter how many times I swiped my brush in it or how much I layered on or anything. I believe I tried it wet also, and that did nothing as well. I was very disappointed by this eyeshadow because it looks so pretty in the container. Too bad it shows up as NOTHING. I was light-skinned at the time too. I'd never waste money on this again. Too bad I didn't return this when I could've (I've had this for more than a year now). I will try scraping/brushing this with something later to see if I can get any color after that. I hope it works because it's such a beautiful color on the outside.

Bronzers -Smashbox - Fusion Soft Lights - Smashing Dusk
TRiNASAURUS_REX 8/23/2006 2:45:00 AM
I originially bought this for eyeshadow use, but ended up not liking it for that purpose. The colors look too matte for some reason on my eyes. I later tried this as blush because I don't really have any brownish blushes, and it looked pretty good. It gives me a bronzey/kind of sunburned look (but not in a very bad way). Then I tried it as a bronzer, and I've concluded that it works best as that :P. Out of the three bronzers I have, I would have to label this as my dark bronzer. I don't know why the person below me says this doesn't show up on her because I find it to be VERY pigmented, and I am between light and medium toned as well. Mine's not the limited edition though. It's the one from the QVC set so maybe it has changed? For the better? I'm not sure I'd buy this again so I put "No". This is pretty pricey, and I think I'd be able to find another dark bronzer in place of this for cheaper. This IS a good product though.. just not my shade really.

Eyeliner -MAC - Fluidline Eyeliner Gel in New Weed
TRiNASAURUS_REX 8/23/2006 2:26:00 AM
I bought this and Graphic Brown after I read such great reviews on them. Sadly, I didn't like Graphic Brown too much because it looked like a flat brown on me. I was hoping for the pretty bronzey brown everyone was talking about. However, I like this fluidline a lot. This is a dark green with a LITTLE bit of gold shimmerness/sparkles to it. I wore this with Urban Decay Snow eye shadow, and my boyfriend really liked it. He says it makes my brown eyes look browner (in boys' terms it's aka POP). That is pretty rare for me with any color so this is definitely a keeper; I returned Graphic Brown. I'd purchase this again if it wasn't a limited edition and if I ever run out, which I really doubt.

Blush -Pop Beauty - Cheeky Pop - Sunrise
TRiNASAURUS_REX 8/23/2006 2:11:00 AM
Normally, I wouldn't buy something this bright but looks can be deceiving so I took a chance on it. This is very pigmented and goes on pretty bright but not as bright as it looks, unless you layer it of course. When I first tried it on, I thought it was too bright/unnatural for me, but I grew to like it. I don't even try to soften it to make it look natural. I like the bold, bright color, and it really makes me look sexy ;]. However, I think I can only pull this off at night because it would probably make me look clownish if I wore it during the day. Of course you can soften it and make it look more natural for you with a light hand and whatnot. I just personally like to wear it that way so don't let me scare you! This is a great blush duo and has made me make Pop Beauty my second favorite blush brand (CARGO being favorite). I'd buy this again.

Blush -Cargo - Rome
TRiNASAURUS_REX 8/23/2006 1:57:00 AM
This is a very pretty peach blush. On my cheeks, it is straight up peach with a golden shimmer/sheen to it and no pinkness or anything to it. This is pretty pigmented, but I like to layer it because I like to play up bright colors for extra sexiness :P. I wore this on a 90-degree day and sweated like a mother, but the blush was still there on my cheeks! I was really surprised and happy because NO makeup ever lasts on me when I sweat lol. $22 for one but very worth it in my opinion. Great color, pigmentation, and texture. I LOVE Cargo blushes and eyeshadows. My favorite brand now. I would buy this again, but I highly doubt I'd have to.

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - Snow
TRiNASAURUS_REX 7/29/2006 1:44:00 AM
This color is beautiful. I thought this color would make me look pale, but it doesn't. It brightens up my eyes and my entire face. My boyfriend likes it a lot too, and he says it looks cool. He doesn't say that often at all about a lot of makeup I wear (he doesn't like makeup) so it IS cool :P. I'd buy again, but it's getting discontinued from what I see on their site =/.
UPDATE: I find that it's a little hard to blend and to apply evenly. Still love the color though.

Eye Shadow -Cargo - Duo ~ Oregon
TRiNASAURUS_REX 7/29/2006 1:24:00 AM
Wow. Amazing how reviews can affect your decision. Because of the such good reviews on this eye shadow, I had to buy it myself to see. When I went to Sephora just to look at it, it looks so... poopy. It's something I'd never buy on my own. I didn't think it'd look good on me because most dark-looking colors look muddy on me and whatnot. I bought it though, and it's one of my favorite eye shadows now. It IS good for the smokey eye look.... naturally. You kinda don't even need to try to go for that look for it to look that way. I just cannot believe how good this duo looks on me. The two colors go great with each other. I don't wear eye shadow much because 1.) I can't apply it too well so it doesn't come out too well, and 2.) a lot of colors just don't look good on me; but this is just too easy. I wear this duo, and it looks like I know how to apply eye shadow like a pro lol. Oh, and the texture is AWESOME. It's so smooth and soft and blends very well. This eye shadow duo makes me love CARGO even more. I'd of course would buy again.

Makeup Brushes -Stila - #21 Double Duty Cheek Contour and Blush Brush
TRiNASAURUS_REX 7/26/2006 2:32:00 PM
Disregard everytime I've said "I love this brush" in a review because I don't mean them anymore until now. I thought my Smashbox brushes were soft. I thought my Prescriptives Bronzer brush was soft. But no.............. THIS brush is soft. Those brushes are still great but when comparing them to this, I feel so bad because they all look/seem so crappy now, and they were expensive. They all work for different purposes though so it's ok.
I just cannot believe how AMAZINGLY soft this brush really is. I read reviews about it being soft, but I didn't really believe it could be this soft since everytime I read a review about a brush like that, it never really turned out that way. But trust me, this brush is so wowingly soft lol. It applies my blush like WOW. It makes it sooo much easier, faster, and more precise. I bought this on Ebay for about $35 including shipping, and I think I'm gonna get another one. I've never wanted another Smashbox #19 brush or another Smashbox #1 brush, but I want another Stila #21 Brush!!!! I just washed mine, and it didn't shed at all, but since it's so dense, I believe it will take a long while to dry. Therefore.. I need another one in the meantime =]. I don't ever really feel like buying any of these expensive brushes at full price, but I definitely, seriously would buy this one for the full price of $52.

Blush -Smashbox - Flare
TRiNASAURUS_REX 7/9/2006 2:48:00 PM
At the stand, I tried this and Proof Sheet on. I liked the Proof Sheet more, but my boyfriend liked Flare more so I just bought it. It's not what I normally would buy since it's so bright and dark-looking in the pan. I usually buy softer colors because I've always thought dark colors makes me look... stupid. I'm so glad I listened to my boyfriend because it is my favorite blush now. It's very pigmented, but I don't think it goes on that dark at all. It goes on reddish/pinkish with golden shimmer, and I think it looks so natural on me as weird as that might sound. Maybe because it blends in so nicely.
I bought this full price at first but returned it back to the stand and ordered it on Ebay instead. I bought it for half the price on Ebay, but I would definitely buy this at full price if I had to. I really love the color and texture of this blush, and it has good lasting power too. It's a shame Smashbox doesn't have a good variety of blush colors though. I think this is the best color out of all the Smashbox powder blushes and Proof Sheet being second. I'm looking for more blush but have to turn to MAC because they have such a wide range to choose from. It makes me sad because the Smashbox blushes are better quality IMO.
EDIT: I turned to MAC and turned away. I didn't like their blushes so I've turned to CARGO now, and I really like this brand.

Eyeliner -Ulta - automatic eyeliner
TRiNASAURUS_REX 6/28/2006 10:48:00 PM
I just bought this a couple days ago, and I don't like it too much. I bought it in Bronze, and I LOVE the color, but I don't like the texture. It's not creamy, and it's chalky in a way. It leaves residues or something like that, and it gets in my eyes and irritates the crap out of my contacts. It's such a shame because the color's so pretty. The packaging could be better too. It feels like it's gonna break on me soon. I would probably buy again though because I like the color a lot. I got it half off too.
EDIT: I returned it even though I got it for half off because I don't want to waste money on something I can't wear. It bothered me too much.

Hair Color -L'Oreal - Feria Haircolor
TRiNASAURUS_REX 6/28/2006 10:34:00 PM
I had really healthy hair even after bleaching and coloring it, but this stuff dried my hair out. I was happy that the color actually showed on my dark hair, but I am very sad that my hair is so dry and broken now =[. It really makes me sad..... it feels so..... nasty now. ='[. I dyed my hair with Feria back in April or so, and I'm dying it again tomorrow with Garnier Nutrisse. I've read reviews where the dye made their hair healthier/softer than before, and I really really hope it does that for me. If not, I'm gonna have to spend more money on hair products =/. Wish me luck!

Styling Products -TRESemme - Anti-Frizz Secret Smoothing Creme
TRiNASAURUS_REX 6/28/2006 3:16:00 PM
I guess this was an ok product. I don't like it too much because it leaves my hair feeling weird... dryish and makes my hair more easily tangled. It soothes my frizzes ok I suppose. I wouldn't buy this again. I like serums better.

Bronzers -Sugar Cosmetics - Tropic Tan Blush and Bronzer Duo
TRiNASAURUS_REX 6/18/2006 8:27:00 PM
If you read my other reviews, you might notice I say "I love" a lot, but I only say it when I mean it. I love this bronzer/blush duo. Now that it is summer and all, I have medium skin tone, and this bronzer looks perfect on it. It's not too dark and definitely not too light. It's highly pigmented so I had to use my Prescriptives bronzer brush when I was lighter. Now that I am darker, I can use my Smashbox #19 brush and it doesn't look muddy or anything.
The blush is also very beautiful. I love it so much because it's not so pinky but more peachy, which is different from all of my other blushes. Both the bronzer and blush gives me a very natural tan and glow. ANOTHER good thing about it: it is sooooooo cheap. The compact is HUGE so you're getting a lot for your money. I got the Prescriptives bronzer trio for $30, and it's much smaller than the Sugar bronzer. I highly recommend this product. Because it's so cheap, I think I'm gonna stock up on it because I'm scared it might get discontinued =/.

Lipstick -L'Oreal - Colour Riche Lipstick in Peach Fuzz
TRiNASAURUS_REX 6/17/2006 1:17:00 AM
The color in the tube is BEAUTIFUL, but when I put it on my lips.... it didn't look as beautiful =[. I was reallyyy hoping for a straight up peach/coral color, but this looks much more pink than peach on me. Maybe it's because of my pigmented lips..... not sure. It still looks pretty though. It's not REALLY pink but not really peach either.. I still like it. It looks pretty natural too.

Moisturizers -L'Oreal - Dermo Expertise Hydra-Renewal Continuous Moisture Cream
TRiNASAURUS_REX 6/17/2006 12:07:00 AM
Before this, I was using the Dove facial lotion for sensitive skin. I liked it because it was light, thin, and non-fragrance. I would have to put it on after I shower and after I wake up. I wanted something that would put moisure IN my face so I wouldn't have to apply it so much though. The Dove one only moisturized my face while the lotion was still on.
I read most of the reviews about different facial lotions but didn't find anything to my liking or affordable. So, I went to Walmart and browsed all of their facial lotion and found this. L'oreal is supposed to be a good (drugstore) brand, and the "continuous" part was what I needed so I bought it. Honestly, I expected myself not to like it because I thought it would irritate my skin and make me break out in rashes since my skin is so sensitive but to my surprise, it didn't. I've used it for a week or maybe a little longer, and it's been working really well. The only time I have to put it on is after I shower unless my skin is really moody and gets extra dry out of nowhere. I don't mind the tub either because I think it's kinda cute. However, I can't stand the smell (hence the 4 lippies). I think it goes away after a little while? I wouldn't really know because I can't smell my face, but I can smell my fingers after I put it on =/. It still does its job though so I'm content. I'd buy again.
