Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand - Grateful Body - Extra Gentle Moisturizer
THLuver33 4/25/2013 7:37:00 PM
Description from gratefulbody.com: Safe and comfortable, our extra gentle moisturizer is perfect for sensitive skin. Using healing botanicals like borage, yarrow, wild lettuce and st. johnswort, this scent-free, calming moisturizer is especially beneficial for easily-troubled skin. This is a first impressions review for the moisturizer. I received the moisturizer through the mail earlier today. I tried it this evening after using the cleanser and toner. Let’s just say my skin is glowing after one use and not in a bad way …read on for my experience. I purchased a 0.25 oz sample size of the moisturizer for $3.00 from the Grateful Body website. The full size of the moisturizer is 2 fl oz and retails for $36.00 The packaging like the full size is a glass amber bottle The label has the Grateful Body logo and handwritten is the name of the product. The moisturizer is marked as has unscented. I find that this is true and it does have a light herbal smell, nothing that is overpowering or strong. The moisturizer is pale yellow and creamy in consistency. On my skin it felt lightweight, spread easily, moisturized my skin without being oily or not enough moisturizing and without any irritation at all. Also my skin is glowing but not from being oily but from this wonderful moisturizer In fact after I moisturized my face there was actually a decrease in the redness on my face. My skin looked more even toned. Also it did not irritate my rosacea or acne which is amazing. My skin before trying out the moisturizer was red (cheeks and nose,) clogged pores on my nose, cheeks and chin, no active breakouts surprisingly, red acne marks/scars, and ice pick acne scarring on my cheeks. My skin is extremely sensitive to everything, highly acne prone, slight rosacea prone (cheeks only,) and clogged pore prone. But after using the moisturizer for only the first time my skin is: less red, not irritated, no acne or rosacea breakouts, gently but effectively moisturized and a lot softer and smoother. I know that is hard to tell how this moisturizer will do over a extended period of time with only one use but I feel really confident that it will do well. If skin does not like something it will let me know. I will be doing a two week update on how my skin reacts and looks with the use of the moisturizer. Also the company is certified by Green Products Alliance for being 100% Natural and Chemical Free; Leaping Bunny for being Cruelty Free; No Animal Testing; Green America approved for people and planet; Certified Vegan for having all products vegan; All products are Gluten Free; United Plant Saver for Using and Protecting Native Medicinal Plants. If you have sensitive/acne prone skin you need to try this moisturizer. ;] *I added the Ingredients in the Ingredients tab if you're curious. :)

Eye Makeup Remover -Avon - Moisture effective Eye makeup remover
THLuver33 10/9/2012 1:14:00 AM
The only good thing about this the price. It was very cheap. But this burns my eyes so so much when I use it!!! It removes my eye makeup (mostly all I is mascara) but not anything better than a warm washcloth. Also Avon test on animals which is horrible in it's self. Needlessly to say I will not be repurchasing this product or using the rest of the bottle. :/

Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand - Pai - Avocado and Jojoba Normal Skin Cream
THLuver33 8/6/2012 1:19:00 AM
I do not like this moisturizer at all. Like the one for sensitive skin this made me my skin bright red, itchy, irritated, and gave me rash. It also made my skin greasy....more greasy than it gets on its own. I am glad that I tried this moisturizer as sample and did not purchase the full size product.

Scrubs -Unlisted Brand - Pai - Kukui & Jojoba Bead Skin Brightening Exfoliator
THLuver33 8/6/2012 1:14:00 AM
I do not like feel like this product does much in the way of exfoliating my skin. My skin feels the same as it did before I washed my face with this. I may finish the sample but I will not be purchasing the full size product.

Masks -Unlisted Brand - Oatmeal
THLuver33 8/2/2012 4:58:00 PM
I really hate to bring down the ratings of this but I must. After using the Pai skincare range I got horrible rash on my face. Well I thought I would try some oatmeal since it is suppose to be calming but it made my rash worse! Ugh, I was really hoping this would help but it didn't. Now I am on the search for something new.

Liquid -L'Oreal - True Match Lumi Healthy Luminous Makeup
THLuver33 7/28/2012 11:40:00 PM
I did not purchase use I just tried out my mom's bottle. But I am glad that I did not buy my own bottle of this. My skin is sensitive, acne prone, prone to redness, and combination (but more on the drier side.) The color that my mom had in the foundation is W5 Sand Beige (which I knew when I tried would not match my cool toned porcelain skin (I am a little lighter than an NW05.) But I do not think the lightest colors of this foundation would match me because I tried the lightest shades of original true match foundation in W1 Porcelain (too yellow) and C1 Alabaster (too orange.) But the foundation did go on really nicely and blended really nice and gave pretty good coverage. It did not feel heavy but it sort of felt thick (which was more than likely due to the fact that I rarely wear foundation or other face makeup.) I only had this foundation on for five minutes (I did not wear it outside I was only testing the feel and coverage) my skin started to itch and burn. And when I took it off my skin was really red and irritated. I have really sensitive skin that reacts to pretty much anything that I put on it. The ingredients are not good for my skin either since I have overly sensitive skin and acne prone skin. The ingredients that did not agree with my skin were: Dimethicone (sensitivity;) Titanium Dioxide (allergy;) and Bismuth Oxychorlide (sensitivity: redness and itching and acne.) I did not read the ingredients list before putting this is on my face (which is at my fault and mistake.) I am just glad that I tried this foundation without wasting my own money on a bottle of it. The packaging is an improvement though to the original true match packaging now that it comes with a pump and you do not have to tilt the bottle to get the foundation out. I think that for someone that does not have sensitive skin or acne prone skin and who can find a match may like this foundation so if you do please save you and your skin the hassle and not purchase it. It just did not work for me which no foundation I have tried thus far has. But my skin is calmed down now after cleansing it off my skin. So no lingering irritation.

Pressed Powders -New York Color - Pressed Translucent Powder
THLuver33 4/24/2012 12:39:00 PM
um this powder is just okay. it is vey chalky and clings to my dry patches. it does a pretty job of controlling my oil. it also matches my skin but it is a little too dark for me (i am NW05-10 for reference.) for the price it is good. but i do not think i will be buying this again.

Shampoo -Unlisted Brand - VO5-Tea Therapy Shampoo in Blackberry
THLuver33 4/24/2012 12:36:00 PM
I absoutley love VO5 shampoos! The favortie being the Blackberry scent:) I got it for $.87 at my local Kroger...which is an amazing deal for such a good shampoo:) The smell is very nice (fruity with some floral too) and it last all day. It also makes my hair so soft. I only use the shampoo and no conditionor and I have perfect hair. I have really long hair and it does not take a lot of the shampoo for my whole hair. Also it is has a really rich lather which I love. Needless to say I will be repurchasing this shampoo a million times over:)

Liquid -Avon - Ideal Shade Liquid Foundation
THLuver33 4/24/2012 1:14:00 AM
I got this at my local flea market for $4.50 because it is now discont. and being replaced with the flawless (i have not tried that one and will not.) Anyway on with the review....the shade I purchased was Light Ivory (the lightest shade.) And like every other foundation I have tried this was too dark. My skin is very pale (NW05-10) with very pink undertones. I think this foundation shade would be better for someone with a skintone closer too NC10-15. The foundation went on very well blended so nicely and felt like I was wearing nothing at all. It also as a matte finish which I love. It also stayed all day without any primer and with only pressed powder (NYC translucent) on top. I have combo/oily skin. It did settle in to pores and fine lines (i only have little lines under my eyes) which could have be frome me not using a primer. The packaging is very nice though (glass bottle and black screw top lid) but it has no pump. Also it has a very strong chemical smell (i perfer my foundations fragrance free) but it does fade as you blend the foundation in. Overall it was a very nice foundation but after a week of useage it broke me out (clogged pores which led to blackheads and breakouts along my chin and left cheek---my worst spots for breakouts.) But needless to say even if this foundation had been discont. I would not repurchase it. I am glad that I got this for $4.50 and not full price. This was also the first foundation from Avon I have tried. Also just as a side note if you have acne prone skin like myself regardless if your skin type I suggest that you stay away from this foundation (and any other foundation that contains this) because it contains sodium chloride (which is salt) because it is and can be very irratating to your skin and cause it to break out.

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Color Icon Single - Sugar #250
THLuver33 4/18/2012 3:37:00 AM
it is an okay highlight shade, a nice white with shimmer. i perfer matte shades over matte...so needless to say i do not like the finish of this e/s at all. um i found it a bit chalky but nothing too bad. it also wears well w/o a primer. but i will not be repurchasing this e/s

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Color Icon #252B Nutty
THLuver33 4/18/2012 3:34:00 AM
um for this price ($1.99) it is an okay e/s. on me it pulls as a shimmery orangey brown....not what i was looking for at all. i do not really like shimmer in e/s or any other face products as well but i did know it had shimmer in it when i bought it but still i perfer it matte. but i do not like the color...so yeah. it wears good, i did not use a primer and it last pretty much all day. but i will not be repurchasing this e/s.

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Color Icon Single in Brulee
THLuver33 4/18/2012 3:26:00 AM
The only good thing about this is the price $1.99 for retail but I paid $0.98 for mine and that it is matte. It was very chalky. It also came off as a pale yellow color on me I pale with cool undertones. I did not find it hard to open but it was agravating to though. Also mine crumble within three days of useage w/o me fropping it or nicking it and I had to throw it away. I will not be repurchasing this e/s.
