My HG eyeliner. Goes on smooth, perfect for water line, or smokey eye. Rich true color. Lasts for quite awhile even on waterline. I will say this though, if you are using it (or anything) directly on your waterline, expect it to wear off eventually or even smudge a little. Nothing that a slight touch up doesn't fix. :) I have used this for years and only strayed occassionally, I always end up right back. Covergirl does a couple things right and this eyeliner is one of them!
Eyeliner -Maybelline - Line Stiletto liquid eyeliner

I LOVE this product. It is my HG eyeliner. I actually switched it up recently and bought the Master Precise pen which I really liked at first. However I am straight back to this. Goes on smooth, can get a thick or thin line, lasts all day. <3
Lip Treatments -Blistex - Complete Moisture Lip Balm
SymmieC 9/12/2012 7:39:00 PM
I will start by saying that I cannot stand lipstick, or lipgloss. I really like to do fun stuff with eye makeup and to avoid halloween I keep my lips neutral. I just wear chapstick. So chapstick serves two purposes for me. It keeps my lips hydrated (I live in SE AK) and it adds a little shine to finish off my makeup look. This is not my go to choice. However if I cannot get ahold of my regular brand. I always reach for this next. I usually have a tube of it floating around my house or truck. The scent is nice, reminds me of candy. Has sort of a "tang" on your tongue but no real "flavor". I hope that makes sense. It isn't very long lasting and I find myself constantly reapplying. However while on it keeps my lips smooth and doesn't seem to cause any chapping when it wears off. Again though, this is my second choice.
Foundations -Hard Candy - Just Face It - One Step Foundation
SymmieC 9/12/2012 7:31:00 PM
I am suprised this has such great reviews. They have a very poor color selection. The lightest color of which leaves your skin very yellow looking. That's if of course you can spackle it onto your skin fast enough, without looking like a picaso creation. The drying speed on this is insanely fast. I tried this once and didn't feel a bit bad about it landing in the bottom of the trash can. Waste of cash.
Powder -Maybelline - Mineral Power Powder Foundation
SymmieC 9/12/2012 7:23:00 PM
This, as well as the liquid foundation (discontinued) version of this. All of this line in general is just AWEFUL. Especially for fair skinned ladies. Maybelline does a terrible job in general of making fair/light makeup. It all makes you look orange. I am not sure I have ever met someone who was naturally orange when I see orange faces though I always think. Maybe she's born with it, maybe its Maybelline.
This is my HG (holy grail for any new readers) mascara. I do not use the waterproof version. I don't actually use waterproof makeup of any kind. Not worth the hassle of removing. So this review is targeted at the non-waterproof version of this mascara. I have tried to stray from this mascara with higher end brands and other drugstore brands. I am always disappointed and return to Lash Blast immediately. Pro's: The brush is awesome! Lengthens Thickens Long Lasting Doesn't Smear or Smudge Easy to remove! Cost friendly Con's: (To be fair) Clumps if applied to thickly or in a hurry Some days it tends to flake, nothing major though While I consider it cost friendly it is on the high end of cost for drugstore brands. Dries out pretty quickly, the product usually dries out within a few weeks of opening it. So if you use tons of mascara, you will probably use it before it dries up. If you are more sparing though, it might start to get sticky and dry before you have used it up.
When I first tried this I didn't really care for it. I did not see any really tangible results. Then I started ignoring the package directions and got great results! I wash my face (obviously?) Wipe acne areas with a cotton pad soaked with Witch Hazel. Then apply a generous amount of persa gel and rub it in for a few minutes. Allow it to dry and leave it on for 20-30 minutes, you will see a white residue. Then I use a damp (not wet) papertowel and gently wipe away the visible residue. I then apply my moisturizer. I have seen this method litterally heal acne overnight on my skin. My one tip about this product? Don't even think about skipping on moisturizer or your going to trade acne for dry flakey skin. Especially if you combine it with Witch Hazel like I do.
Masks -Freeman - Freeman Superfruits Revealing Peel-Off Facial Mask
SymmieC 9/1/2012 12:17:00 PM
I like this mask quite a bit. It feels cooling and soothing going on, once dry (takes about 20-30 minutes irregardless of what the package says) it peels off easily but with a nice firm tug. I can actually see gunk it has pulled out of my pores stuck to it! Leaves my face feeling smooth and definately looking clearer. <3 will be buying it again and the price is so cheap and awesome!
I actually bought this for my mom at her request while I was on a trip. After a shower I decided to go ahead and try it for myself. It's been a love story made in bathroom land ever since. The product feels like silk going on, my skin readily absorbs it. A little goes a long way. My skin looks visibly healthier (though I like to add the disclaimer that I have a very nice complextion anyway). However this definately smoothes out the appearance of my pores and any fine lines I have convinced myself I have. I am 30 and I know it says "mature skin" but I don't find it heavy or oily. It is very lightweight. I now also use the eye cream and night cream of the same line and love those as well. Some people laugh and say "oh all you girls are to young for age creams". I laugh back and say "prevention is cure". Oh yeah and the price? Just cannot be beat :) The only CON, litterally the only thing I would change if I could is the fact that its in a jar. I would prefer a pump, but I always apply it right after a shower and therefore have pretty clean hands.
This is my Holy Grail. I have gotten so lucky with vanilla 002 and I buy extra and stock up in anticipation that they will discontinue it for some reason (seems to happen to all my favs). This product matches my skintone so perfectly you litterally cannot tell I am wearing it. I apply it with clean fingers (I apply any foundation this way..I am not a fan of brushes). I like using my fingers because the heat keeps the product very fluid and helps blend it perfectly. Once it sets I have a gorgeous looking complextion (I have very nice skin anyway admittedly) I top it off with the pressed powder foundation in fair/light. It lasts all day and I never need to retouch. I have never had an oxidation problem with this foundation at all. As a matter of fact I ran out one day and had to order it. While I was waiting I switched to a L'Oreal product I had on hand. Ugh it oxidated something aweful and everywhere I went people were like "wow I have never seen you with a makeup line before" it got so bad I just stopped wearing makeup until I got my order. Was so glad to have this back! :) This also washes off easily and doesn't leave major residue (which is what I cannot stand about revlon colorstay). I do not think it is the right product for anyone with very oily skin. It really does nothing to control shine. Actually it sort of gives you that warm glowing "dewy" look. Which I love. However if you already have that warm glowing dewy look, then its probably best to try an oil or shine control alternative makeup. Not every product works for every face. However I LOVE this product for my face. So if you have a pretty decent complextion, Mild Combination or Dry Skin, cool undertones and love that glowing, dewy, fresh faced look then you should give this a try. It is a wonderful foundation and comes in a pretty decent range of colors. Because I do not bother tanning the Vanilla 002 actually works for my skin year round. Even when I pick up a slight amount of color during summer it isn't enough to have to change foundation which is great :) and in the winter when I look like someone from the cast of twilight, it gives my skin a little bit of a healthier summer glow without looking unrealistic, still matches my neck etc. <3
Eyeliner -Maybelline - Eye Studio Master Precise Ink Pen Liner
SymmieC 8/25/2012 10:31:00 PM
I really like this eyeliner. It is a nice rich color, the applicator lets me have a tiny line or a thick one and it wears all day. I have had no smudging problems at all. As a matter of fact I have fallen asleep in it a couple times and woke up with it still in tact! The store was out of the line stiletto which I usually buy, so I ended up grabbing this and I will now purchase this instead for sure! Great product. I am a faithful user of liquid eyeliner. I have been wearing the stuff everyday for the past 10 years easy. I have actually probably tried more different types of liquid eyeliner then any other makeup or skin product. I would totally advise trying this. This product would even be great for a beginner because the design of it gives you great control and the felt tip is just the right combination of firm and flexible so it makes it VERY easy to apply!
I feel like a deranged super hero, on an never ending quest to combat my arch nemesis under eye circles. Seriously, my mom gave me alot of things, gorgeous hair, flawless complextion, big dark eyes. She also went ahead and passed along her horrible under eye circles. The kind of circles that leave me with three choices in the morning. Sunglasses, Full Makeup, Or spend an entire day recieving sympathy and the well wishes of people who hope I feel better soon. So my story with this product goes as follows.. 1.) Reading a magazine, hmm under eye roller.. Pfft as IF. 2.) Wandering through store, hmm there's that roller thing, looks stupid. 3.) Back at store, okay maybe I will try it.. 4.) No way its to expensive, it isn't going to work.. 5.) Okay I am going to try it..KEEP THE HOPE ALIVE!.. 6.) -glances nervously- I hope no one saw my fist pump.. 7.) Okay here we go..-applies it- 8.) -Blends it and sets it with a dab of powder- 9.) Wow, really? 10,) Hey, wow..really? 11.) -goes outside for the first time in years with no sunglasses, no full makeup, and get told how pretty I look "natural" by multiple people. 12.) SUCCESS! My mission is complete! In summary I love this product, I happen to be lucky and it matches my skintone, I could definately see how some people might not have that experience with it. The coverage is pretty sheer though and easily blended. I do set it with a light powder. All in all I will definately repurchase so I can use it on days when I just want to run to the store without spending 45 minutes in front of my mirror combating dark circles with 5 different products and turning myself into a human optical illusion. One warning, do not expect the roller ball to just flawlessly roll it onto your skin. That would be awesome, but really I just tap some product there with it and blend with my fingers. Also I can wear it all day with no touch up, however it would be super easy to reapply and fix up if needed because its such a light layer! As long as they make it, this will be in my makeup box..
Blush -Cover Girl - Cheekers Blush in Pretty Peach
SymmieC 8/19/2012 12:06:00 PM
This is my go to blush. It is perfect on my fair skin and goes on just beautifully. Also it lasts all day which is a bonus because I dislike having to reapply or touch up my makeup. You should use a blush brush though. Let us just be real here for a moment in saying that the brushes in the package with the makeup almost NEVER are any good. So invest in a decent brush set. Oh, and that does not mean buy the wet n wild "brush set". I mean opt for a really decent brand of brushes and get at least the basics.
Moisturizers -L'Oreal - Revitalift Complete Day Lotion SPF 30

So I usually try to go a little in depth with my reviews however I have just two words to describe my experience with this product. Cystic Acne. The End.
Moisturizers -Simple - Replenishing Rich Moisturiser
SymmieC 8/19/2012 11:50:00 AM
I bought this moisturizer as a stand in for while my regular products were shipping. The story goes as follows.. -staring at the moisturizers- 1.) Hey, this looks..simple. 2.) Haha I'm so clever. 3.) -scrubbing face- 4.) Ahh, squeaky clean! 5.) Oo, REPLENISHING, sounds promising! 6.) Hmm, weird consistency, ah well.. 7.) -Rubs on face- 8.) -Still trying to rub it in- 9.) Hmm, for being so watery it sure sticks around.. 10.) -a few hours later- :/ my face feels ..wet still 11.) -waking up- Wtf? 12.) Wow, I cannot believe I slept and everything and still feel like something is on my face. Seriously, this stuff is not kidding when it says it sticks around for 12 hours of questionable hydration. Hours later my face still feels like I just put the product on. I meant I cannot touch it and feel any product, but its as if a layer of the stuff is residing just under my first layer of skin. It is safe to say that I very much dislike this stuff.
