Liquid -L'Oreal - True Match Super-Blendable Makeup SPF 17

It does what it's supposed to do-I guess. This is, in fact, a blendable foundation. I got the second lightest shade, W2 I believe. It's a good match, and I like their range of colour, but that's where it generally stops. This foundation feels very siliconey(?) after putting it onto my face, and with or without a primer, it's cakey and it actually rubs off to the touch! I wiped my finger on my face gently and my finger was covered in foundation. If I only tried to use a little, it would be very streaky despite how much I try to blend using different brushes and sponges. Disappointing actually, and it doesn't last long. Oily in an hour or so.
Lip Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Aquafina Flavor Splash Lip Balm

Love this product. First of all, it's a very basic lip balm. Doesn't have any medications whatsoever. I use another lip balm during the day and it does not moisturize my lips well. When I come home I automatically put this lip balm on, after I wash my face/shower and before I go to bed. All the flakiness on my lips have disappeared and I'm left with such smooth and supple lips. They look and feel soo healthy. In my opinion, the texture is perfect. Just smooth, like butter. Plus so far all the flavours have left my lips with a "cool" sensation.
Eye Shadow -Lancome - Color Design Eyeshadow - Guest List

At first glance I thought this colour was like that of straight black coffee. It's actually a lighter, deeper coffee brown. It's gorgeous. It's quite a pigmented, matte eyeshadow, but it does contain a few gold sparkles. It's very pretty, and can help you achieve a less dramatic smoky eye. It also looks great alone. The only downside to this is that its not the easiest to blend. I really have to work it out to achieve my desired look.
Eye Shadow -Lancome - Maquiriche Eyeshadow- Honeymoon

This colour is generally almost the exact same as my skin tone, so when I put it on, it seems as if my eyes have been illuminated. Personally, I don't use this eyeshadow a lot alone, but I find that it's a dream to blend and use with the other colours in my quad. The texture of the eyeshadow in the tin is grainier compared to other Lancome eyeshadows I have, but it goes on smooth. It is both sparkly and shimmery. I haven't been able to find another eyeshadow quite like this, but I won't be repurchasing seeing as I use it very sparingly.
I got this one in the Colour Design quad. The really good part about this one is that it is extremely, extremely versatile. I use it as a highlighter on various parts of my face, in the corner of my eye, under my eye, and on my eyelid (to make other colours pop). It is matte, which I really appreciate since it will help you achieve a more natural look. The eyeshadow itself is smooth and silky, but it takes a few strokes to get an obvious white colour. It's one of the better white eye shadows out there, but I'm sure someone can find something similar for cheaper.
I have this eyeshadow in the Color Design compact. My mother actually bought this Lancome set for quite a deal a year ago or so, and gave this one to me. I've only started using it since the summer, but I can happily say that I love this eyeshadow. Upon first glance, like others have said, it reminds me of NARS orgasm. It's a peachy rose pink, with a gold shimmer to it. Personally, it has more shimmer than sparkle when I look at it, but if you blend it out, the sparkles are quite obvious. You have to put on a few applications to get a very deep and obvious pinky peach colour. It really is beautiful. I find the application to be very smooth and silky. It feels wonderful putting it on. Though this kind of shade isn't recommended for my skin tone, I just love to wear it daily. The only bad part to this is that there is a lot of fallout, but I'm sure that can be easily fixed by a primer (I don't use primers that often).
Lip Treatments -eos - Smooth Sphere Organic Lip Balm in Honeysuckle Honeydew

Finally, the stores in my city have started to stock the eos lipbalms and I just had to grab myself one. Like many others, I've seen tons of gurus use this and read lots of great reviews about it as well. I honestly love that it's all organic. But, this isn't so good at moisturizing lips in the winter. It was oh so much better during fall. I apply every 30 min - an hour, and the consistency is very creamy, just how I like it. The packaging is very cute, and the sphere shape of the actual balm works well with the shape of my lips. The only downside is that I can't keep it in my jean pocket or I'll look silly with a ball sticking out of my leg.
Thanks to my mom, I have found a mascara that helps me create a very feminine look without wearing a lot of makeup. In fact, I actually love to use this alone, or when I gently line my eyes with brown eyeliner. I use the waterproof version. I think that the trick is to do about 2-3 layers, and in between each layer, use an eyelash comb to separate the lashes to make them appear more natural (or clump free). I didn't even have to use an eyelash curler yet it stayed on and kept my lashes curled all day! There was also no smudging or flaking after I cried (from watching a movie). I was also complimented on my eyelashes, and asked if they were real (which they of course were). :) Edit: My friend seriously couldn't believe my lashes were real. HG right here folks.
Downside to this; which I just hate. It actually gave me raccoon eyes one day. If you even just touch your lashes, the formula comes off. So it doesn't "stick" to your lashes well, and tends to melt easily. Sighh. It's not like a mascara at all.

I just la la la love this product. Especially their newest version (with the silver bottle). I have what I'd describe as horse hair (dry, thick, coarse, brittle, frizzy), which is extremely hard to tame. No other product has worked as well for me as this. I have no clue why, in all honestly. It defrizzes my hair, softens it, and makes the overall look of my hair much more sleek. Plus the scent of this product is so beautiful, I always want to put on more, but can't because I don't want my hair to get oily. Also, it contains a UV protectant. Huge plus for me.
Eyeliner -Maybelline - Line Stiletto liquid eyeliner
Sweetlae 11/10/2011 4:18:00 PM
I never used liquid eyeliner before, so I wanted to find a product that was a good "starter" for me. The applicator brush is a type of foam/sponge/felt, with a slightly defined end. This means I could make my eyeliner fairly thin (: The price was okay, about $7 from where I got it. As with every product, I wish it could be cheaper hehe :), but it was a very good price for the quantity/quality. I choose a blackish brown colour, due to my light complexion, eyes and hair. I wanted something subtle, and black would be over dramatic. Overall, I'd say that this product really was a great way for me to practice lining my eyes. It didn't smudge, dried fast, could be layered over, and I could easily fix the mistakes with a q-tip. Unfortunately, the only downside was that it was not long lasting, and shiny (I'd prefer a matte finish). After about 6 hours in school, the edges of my eyeliner have already flaked off. Also, I'm not a fan of the packaging because constantly caused to product to build up, and dry up over the opening. Overall, I wouldn't repurchase because I've already found a new eyeliner that I love.
Lip Gloss -Victoria's Secret - Beauty Rush Gloss -all
Sweetlae 10/21/2011 10:38:00 PM
I'm the type of girl that's more on the natural/neutral side of makeup, with a touch of shimmer. I honestly love these lipglosses. They're sheer, and in the middle of sticky and smooth, which is perfect for me. I have thick lips, and these keep them looking beautiful for an hour or so (until I reapply, which I don't mind. I find it fun). The flavours add a little extra oomph to these. My personal favourites are Slice of Heaven and More Mimosa. The only thing I wish was that the colour was a bit more concentrated, so it'd make a slightly more noticeable change to my lips. But I can happily live without that. So far, one tube has lasted me 4-6 months, and I still have a lot to go! Plus, the squeezy tube is much more fun and convenient for me to handle.
Skincare - Face -Clinique - Acne Solutions Line (all products)

Even though this hasn't been recent, I remember using this a few years ago. Yes, it did get rid of some of my acne, but it overly dried my skin so much that any pimple that popped on it's own, or I scratched off, turned into a pitted scar. I strongly believe that this was the worst product for my skin I've ever used. I remember my skin feeling extremely dry, and peeling a lot, especially at the nose. This is one of those products that I wish I had never tried, just because it created a problem extremely hard to fix, and had made me very insecure. Overall, it fixed some of my acne, not all, but it's not worth it for the side effects I experienced. Back then, I really had some hope in this product. Unfortunately, never again.
