I really wanted to love this color........and I thought Sweet Heart is another shimmer gloss like the other shades that I own.........but this one comes out frosty on my lips, which makes me look a little " ill ". If you don't mind lip gloss that are a bit frosty - this is a pretty pink/peach/light mauve color. Haha, kind of hard to describe, look up some blogs for swatch comparison. Has that sickly sweet medicine like cherry scent which fades in about 10min , but the lip gloss is not too sticky and the packaging is cute.
Smells like lemon scented detergent. There is the nice fresh lemon scent..........but here is the synthetic detergent lemon scent. Smell aside, the gloss is not too sticky and lasts as long as I would expect a lip gloss to last. (which is not longer than 3 hrs even if you don't eat or drink) Color is a light jelly orange/apricot. Does not show up well on my quite pigmented lips. So when I put this on, my lips looks glossy and slightly darker.
This is a very cool color...............fushia with purple shimmer. But I am giving it a 3 because I honestly don't think I will wear it much. The color looks really weird on me, maybe the color just clashes with me skin tone or something. I only purchased the African Queen because during my research on various NYX lip gloss colors, many blogs kept recommending this color as the "wonderful surprise". I would recommend this color to darker skinned girls ~ Me in my light asian skin tone.........looks like I am prepping for Halloween.
I would buy this again if only it prevented staining. For me, a good base should truly act as a "base protection" for my nails on top of being adhesive to any polish that I paint on top of it. This still allowed some of my darker polishes to stain my nails. So I will be looking further~
So far, this is one of the better concealers that I've found. It covers up my acne/acne scars and it stays there as long as I don't touch my face too often. It also does not emphasize the dryness and flakes as much as other ones that I've used. This is important since most people with acne are also plagued with dry flaky skin due to acne treatments etc. in my case, benzoyl peroxide. The only complaint I have.........is the shade limitation. I am asian with medium toned skin but the best match I could find is ......... a bit yellow/orange on me. So I must also use foundation while using this concealer to blend in. In short, I wish there were more color shades with different tones.
Okay, the packaging is somewhat horrible as everyone agrees that the plastic pot is too big. This is a shadow that I would have to leave at home and not bring with me on trips. But, this is a great eyeshadow! It gives this light purple-brown-golden taupe-ish color. I think it will be quite flattering on any skin tone and eye color. I took one lippie off because of the packaging.......and the occasional flecks of sparkle that I sometimes find - and have to pick off my eyelid. This shadow is not the glittery or the really sparkly kind. So I think the occasional noticeable flecks were not meant to be. Also, I would advise against using a brush since brush application tends to make the eyeshadow dry and hard to spread. The best way is to use your finger (which has warmth) and lightly push it across the eyelid. Overall, I would buy again when mine dries up. Since I am sure it will dry up before I can finish using it as I am not an everyday makeup kinda girl.
Got this online when it was marked down for $7 CDN. I like the overall design of the tube. The formula consists of lots of little fibers, and they build on your lashes which is what makes the lengthening effect. I really want to love this one, but it flakes on me and I do get dark prints on my lower lids after about 4 hrs (this is always a problem with me and mascara due to my oily lids) Overall, it's great for lengthening, but flakes a little on me and does not solve the raccoon eye problem. The hunt for perfect mascara continues~
Toners -Thayers - Rose Petal Alcohol Free Witch Hazel

I love this toner, it's gentle and smells good. Doesn't irritate. Does anyone know which stores carry this in Canada, BC? I used to live in Toronto, and now can't find them here in Vancouver.....
I have sensitive skin with oily T-zone. This toner didn't really do anything. It's gentle, smells nice and that's about it? It didn't help with my oily T-zone nor did it dry my skin or cause breakout(my mini breakouts continues). Overall, I will try for some other toner that will actually let me see an improvement.
Toners -Aveeno - Skin Clarifying Toner with Soy Extract
Sweetdreamberries 3/1/2006 11:03:00 PM
I was trying to find a soothing toner and decided to give this a try since I like the Aveeno foaming cleanser that I am using. It's been a week and I can't help but notice that my T-zone seems to be a lot more oily than it was before. Especially, my nose........it gets SHINEY like I put was on! I do like the smell and the fact that it doesn't seem to dry my skin. Maybe it's the clean and clear daily pore cleanser that I've also recently added to my night routine hoping to lessen my blackheads. I dunno, I am feeling quite iffy about both products right now.
Lip Treatments -Avon - Moisture Therapy Lip Balm SPF 15 (solid stick)
Sweetdreamberries 2/27/2006 3:07:00 PM
I got this lip balm from a friend who swears by it. I've just finished my first one and am looking to repurchase. It really moisturizes, no waxy or sticky feeling. It's one of those lip balms that can keep your lips uncracked when you wake up the next morning. I don't see it as much of a treatment since my lip condition didn't really improve much, but then again, all the other lip balms i've tried actually dries out after about 2 hours or so. Overall, it's very good as a staple lip balm. Very neutraland calming.
Moisturizers -Clinique - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion
Sweetdreamberries 2/27/2006 1:30:00 PM
I got the lotion in one of Clinique's package of 3 that consisted a cleanser bar, toner, and the lotion. The lotion was the only thing I kept using. The cleanser soap bar (although they say "mild") still made my face peel and the toner stinged ,I think it contains alcohol. Overall, the lotion does a good job of making my cheeks and neck area smooth and mositurized through out the day. I wouldn't put it on the T-zone though since it gets greasy and I fear break out. Also, I don't like the bottle design because it's hard to control the amount.
