Scrubs -Clean & Clear - Deep Action Exfoliating Scrub - Oil-Free

Amazing. Also cheaper than most of the other face washes at the pharmacy, it also has an extra ounce compared to other scrubs by Neutrogena (it was about $5 at my CVS). The gel has lots of microbeads in it that feel so good and not harsh. Right now im using it as my summer face wash as scrubs arent good for winter skin. After rinsing off there is this incredible tingling sensation.. it reminds me of burts bees chapstick.. except for your face. After rinsing my skin felt cleaner than ever, it leaves no residue at all on your race, just squeaky cleanness!

Mascara -Christian Dior - DiorShow BlackOut Waterproof
rated 4 of 5
Sweet_catastrophe521 11/6/2008 9:00:00 PM

Pros: Impossibly Glossy Black shade, Holds curl better than any other mascara i've tried (Curl is still there even after i take it off with M/U remover!), Best Volume AND Length that i've ever received from a mascara, I dont have to wait for the formula to "thicken" after a week like i do when my other mascaras are watery at first, from the first time i opened it the formula/application was perfect....... Cons: Smudges off on my upper eyelids really badly (I think its the black kohl in the formular), Expensive, It's been 3 weeks and the formula is looking a tiny bit dry, not really that waterproof... Verdict: I love love how this mascara looks on me, my sparse asian lashes look RIDICULOUSLY lush and dramatic and this is definitely the best lash look i've EVER gotten from a mascara (and in just a few swipes!). Unfortunately i can't stand the smudging i get after an hour after i wear this, i have to bring Q-tips with me everywhere to wipe it off and it can't withstand tears/water, it was rather pricey but i don't regret what i paid for this i just won't be buying it again either, i think it's time to try the original diorshow w/p and hope for no smudging!!.. I'd give it a 3.5 and that rounds up to a 4

Liquid -Maybelline - Pure Makeup [DISCONTINUED]
rated 1 of 5
Sweet_catastrophe521 9/6/2008 3:05:00 PM

Gross, even for its price. It dries pretty much on contact so there is no time to blend at all unless you have a damp sponge. It rubs off easily (after an hour or two it's pretty much gone) and what doesn't rub off turns into an oil slick on my face! Even set with powder this makes my oily skin even more oily. Yuck. For some reason it also doesn't seem the same color as the Age Rewind Foundation is in the same shade..

Lip Gloss -Stila - It Gloss - Enticing
rated 4 of 5
Sweet_catastrophe521 8/9/2008 2:06:00 PM

I got this in the BCA It Gloss Trio set with Courageous and Inspiring. Sephora describes this as "light pink" but I find it to definitely be a more medium, sophisticated pink. It has a lot of silver shimmer (as opposed to the other two which have gold shimmer) and it's cool toned. This does make it look frosty IMO but not over the top so. It smells reallyyyy good, like vanilla cupcakes.. doesn't taste too good though. It's very VERY glossy, smooth, and surprisingly pigmented. Definitely a lot more pigmented than Lip Glaze. Considering these qualities I find that It gloss is more suited for a night time look than daytime (for me at least). It's super versatile though: it's easy to make the gloss more subtle though by applying it on lips and then putting a tissue between your lips and pressing down once. This takes away some of the high shine and color (and also any frostiness if that's a concern), which looks nicer on me for daytime. I really like the soft brush applicator, it's more practical for this gloss anyways because it delivers more product than a doe-footed one. I don't find them to be sticky but the perfect consistency, just enough to stay on your lips but not "slip off". I use them on top of chapstick. It is super expensive though, $18 each at Sephora. The set was supposed to be $28 MSRP but i got it for $15 on Ebay so I would repurchase if i ever ran out (only at ebay price though!)

Masks -Unlisted Brand - Aspirin Mask
rated 4 of 5
Sweet_catastrophe521 4/23/2008 10:12:00 PM

Cost: $4 for a bottle of Honey, $2 for the CVS Brand aspirin. I can't seem to get the pasty consistency i'm hoping for (i dissolve about 3-4 aspirin in the shower and put in maybe a tbsp of honey) and i get this watery gel // really watered down paste as opposed to thick paste. It still goes on my face really nicely, covers all of it. So far i haven't used it as a mask but just as an exfoliator. I rub it in for maybe a minute then rinse off. My skin is instantly brighter and softer! My skin is really really soft now everyday (i use it about 2-3 times a week) and my acne is less red and fading a bit too! Will continually buy again!! (I'm using it in combination with Neutrogena Stress Control line. I started both that line and this aspirin mask at the same time so i'm not sure which is the one making the biggest difference but i'm pretty sure its the aspirin) No miracles yet but definitely a difference.

Misc Beauty Tools -Shu Uemura - Eyelash Curler
rated 4 of 5
Sweet_catastrophe521 3/19/2008 3:41:00 PM

At first i didn't like this product.. apparently they re-vamped it somewhat recently so you couldn't press down too hard (which is what i WANTED to do) and that annoyed me greatly. For the first few weeks it pinched a little and my curl wasn't amazing. Just so-so, which was incredibly disappointing since the Maybelline curler that i had gotten for a few dollars had always delivered amazing curl.

Thennn after awhile i learned how to use this so it didn't pinch, and the secret is to **Blast the curler with a hairdryer for 5 seconds prior to use** Then it's like a mini curling iron and the curl is AMAZING. Yes it does take a few extra seconds but it's definitely worth it in the end. The curl is very even and smooth, you don't get the bent-lash look that some cheaper versions deliver. They say to change the pad every month and toss it after a year... I've had this curler for 3 months now and have yet the need to change the pad (i just clean it weekly with some eye makeup remover, the silicon pad cleans VERY easily unlike my old maybelline) and i doubt i will ever need to replace this curler. The box does come with a bonus pad as well. Worth the $$ in the end = ) Would buy again if ever lost.

Shampoo -Clairol - Herbal Essences Breaks Over
rated 2 of 5
Sweet_catastrophe521 3/1/2008 7:14:00 PM

Pros: Smells absolutely delicious, the bottle is incredibly cute and i love the purple colored shampoo and conditioner... Not expensive either, i got it in a 3 for $9 deal on Herbal products. Cons: My hair is drier than before.. my hair has never been dry before, it's always been normal/a little oily so i was surprised. It's not TOO dry but def drier in a way i don't like. I also don't feel like it has helped my hair breakage at all, my split ends seem worse! Either the shampoo is too drying or the conditioner is not moisturizing enough.. or both. I'm going to try the other lines..

Eye Makeup Remover -Neutrogena - Oil Free eye makeup remover
rated 4 of 5
Sweet_catastrophe521 1/22/2008 6:48:00 PM

Not too expensive, gets everything off! It's goes on rather cool and refreshing but the residue is oily (as are most WP makeup removers) but that can be solved by just wiping the area with a cotton ball afterwards. You get a lot in the bottle!! Mine lasted like half a year (and i wear WP mascara everyday)

Cleansers -Aveeno - Aveeno Clear Complexion Foaming Cleanser
rated 3 of 5
Sweet_catastrophe521 1/22/2008 6:44:00 PM

I loved the lathering quality of this cleanser and it leaves my face super soft afterwards. Unfortunately i don't think it's helped me acne at all... it's not TOO drying but as it is the middle of the winter i do tone and moisturize afterwards.. overall it's just okay (doesn't get wp eye makeup off unfortunately) the best quality is the softness of my face afterwards

Polishes -Chanel - Le Vernis Nail Colour- Cashmere
rated 2 of 5
Sweet_catastrophe521 6/26/2007 1:52:00 AM

looks gorgeous in the bottle (orangeypinkbeige with gold shimmer) and it shows up the same color on my nails (one layer) as in the bottle but the color looks horrible with my yellowtoned tan skin!!!! it seems way too orangey with my skin and almost tan-ish which is not a flattering nail color. i think this color would look best on very pale or very dark complexions.. not in between skin tones. Also very expensive.. like $19 a bottle? at least the packaging is cute. Luckily i didn't pay for this and just borrowed from my aunt.

Fragrances -Burberry - Brit
rated 4 of 5
Sweet_catastrophe521 6/25/2007 1:12:00 AM

sort of vanill-y and very warm in general. it's a little heavy (even the eau de toilette in ways) i think it smells very classy and best in the winter when it's cold outside.. that's where the warmth really comes out. I don't own my own bottle so i don't know if i'd get sick of it but one of my close friends owns it so i borrow it everytime i'm over and so far i love it just as much as i did the first day. I have tried this in the summer and it was half nauseating so DON'T WEAR IN THE SUMMER!!! The plaid bottle is adorable.

Lotions/ Creams -Burt's Bees - Milk & Honey Body Lotion
rated 3 of 5
Sweet_catastrophe521 5/23/2007 9:43:00 PM

got this in a set as a birthday gift... it smells.. somedays really good and other days i can't stand it... it's very natural and not perfumy, i don't know how exactly to decribe it but almost a light vanilla but sometimes the honey part overpowers it. It's really runny in the bottle but it's great when u spread it on... i like to use it fresh out of the shower and i don't feel that moisturized after i suppose so i use it during the spring/summer area. I prefer to use this on the upper body than the lower, it doesn't seem to absorb as well as i'd like and my legs feel snlightly sticky? but it's not too bad

Misc Beauty Tools -Gillette - Venus Divine
rated 4 of 5
Sweet_catastrophe521 4/15/2007 6:30:00 PM

i think i got it free in the mail?? smooth shave. cute handle. (not as cute as the breeze). actually my handle snapped after a year of use but i don't really care... if it costs more to buy the cartridges of the divine than the regular i'd just get the regular cause i think they feel the same in the end even though the divine ones have an extra moisturizing strip

Right now i'm using the Venus Breeze, it's pretty good too.

WORST. RAZOR. EVER. At first, it was pretty good and stuff... but the third use... I NOW HAVE A 2.5 INCH "NICK" on my leg. it's more like a hideous wound. You can't apply ANY pressure with this razor or you WILL cut yourself. You can't even tell when you miss a spot because the "gel" doesn't foam! The conditioning block also doesn't last a very long time. Annoying. Don't buy this.

only bonus? it is a very very pretty razor.
