I use this with the torture tonic shampoo and its great. I have very greasy hair so only used conditioner every 2nd day and only on the ends. However with this I can use it everyday, all over and my hair does not feel heavy or greasy. Its very soft and moisturised. Will buy again.
LOVE this shampoo. I have coloured, fine hair which gets EXTREMELY GREASY!!! This stuff leaves it feeling very clean and it stays that way all day. It is not heavy or oily so my hair still looks great at the end of the day. Makes my hair and super soft and shiny. Works best with the torture tonic conditioner.
Eye Shadow -NYX - 10 Color Palette - Champagne & Caviar

Honestly, I hardly ever wear eyeshadow. I thought I would get this palette to try out a few neutral smoky looks and seen as I'm a beginner I didn't want to spend to much money. These eyeshadows are great, the colours are highly pigmented although as others have said a few are quite similar. They lasted on me all day without any primer although by about 5pm I did notice the colour had faded. Think I will purchase a primer and see if it helps with this. Colours were easy to blend and go well together which I think helped seen as I'm kind of starting out. Do get quite a bit of fall out which is probably my only complaint. For someone like me, who is just starting and is not very brave with colour, this is perfect. Total bargain for the price really and think I might buy more.
Eyeliner -Maybelline - Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner

I am sooooo pleased I bought this!!! I have had it for about a month. I have never tried a gel eyeliner before so cant compare it to anything else but for me, a total beginner, its amazing. I have always stuck to a pencil eyeliner because I am not that great at applying it but I wanted a gel to get a more intense colour. This gives a really dark intense black and stays on all day with no touch ups. I have been using the brush that comes with it and cannot believe how easy it is!!! I use it everyday now, its amazing. The plan was to try this and if I liked it and if I could apply it I would go and buy the MAC 1 but honestly don't think I need to. This does everything its meant to and fingers crossed mine doesn't dry out like others have mentioned. For £8 this is a bargain. Will buy over and over, although cant see it running out any time soon.
This is a great finishing powder. I use it after my bare minerals to set it and it makes it look great, think it would work great with a liquid foundation 2, if not better. I also use this for half way through the day when my face is starting to get a bit oily. I apply this and it soaks up the excess oil really well, I then quickly top up my foundation where needed, usually my nose, and then go back over it again with another layer to help keep it in place. Would buy again but to be honest, cant see myself running out any time soon.
I have been using Bare Minerals for about a month, I wanted to give it a good chance before reviewing it. Anyway I was matched to Medium which is perfect for my skin, yay! (NW20) I was amazed at the results, great coverage and looked so natural I could not believe it! I bought the starter kit but think the full size is £23 which is not to bad as my trial size is still at least half full and I use it about 5 days a week. It covers any blemishes and the redness on my nose and cheeks no problem. I would say it lasts about 4hrs on me b4 I need to touch up which is not bad for me seen as I have a very oily tzone. Its not cakey at all, unless you apply to much. The key to this is to moisturise well before and to apply a small amount and buff buff buff!! It takes a bit more time but the more you buff it in the more coverage you get and the better it looks. Also I don't think its as messy as people have mentioned except when travelling with it. On the go touch ups are a bit of a pain because the powder gets through the little filter and when you open the lid it goes everywhere. Travel problem will be solved when I get the full size with the new sifter thing!!! Will repurchase again and again!!!! NOTE: I use the concealer brush to tap it on any areas where I feel I need more coverage, like round my nose and use a good primer on the areas where you get oily or this will come off quite quickly.
This is one of the few products that does what it says it will and does so very well. My eyebrows are not that bad generally but my left one has a tiny scar through it which makes it look very sparse. I bought it in taupe as they didn't have soft brown. It is so easy to apply and makes my brows look full and defined. It lasts all day with absolutely no touch ups. Quite expensive but think it will last a very long time. Will buy again when I eventually run out!
This is the best foundation I've tried so far. It was the first MAC foundation I tried and always end up going back to it. It gives a lovely finish and covers well, I don't really need to use concealer with it. I have Very fair skin NW20 and think this is the best match I have found. Also my nose is quite red but this covers it amazingly well. I'm not sure why I stray away from this cause as I'm writing this review I cant really think off anything bad to say. Great staying power and at £23 is better priced than my current smashbox HD (which is not as good a foundation or colour match). What is important though is that skin is well moisturised and that you use the correct brush to apply it. I use MAC 188 brush as this gives a very light application which I can build if I have to and. Will be buying again.
I have been using GHD's for about 7 years and could not cope without them!!! In a different league from the rest. For about 1 year before I found these I used to iron my hair, literally, as no straighteners done the job quite as well. My hair is quite fine and naturally straight but these make it totally poker straight and lovely, silky smooth!!I I do get split ends but a little trim fixes that. Also always use a protector before which helps! I am on my second set and I think I paid £190. Well worth it, use them every day and would repurchase without a thought.
(EDIT: I take back all I said about this mascara!!! when I first got it, it was gr8 but only had it for a couple of weeks and not sure what's happened but its went all clumpy and blotchy, even on the wand before I put it on it looks like that (not sure if I'm describing it very well)!!! It is now making my lashes clump together ridiculously!!! So disappointed as separation was gr8 when I first got it. Not sure if I have maybe not closed it properly or what but glad I didn't pay full price and will not repurchase!!!) I recently got this off ebay for the bargain price of £4.50 incl p&p!!! Im really surprised that this mascara has such mixed reviews, I LOVE it!!! It gives great separation which for me is the most important thing I look for in a mascara and it also gives huge volume and holds the curl in my lashes really well. I love big thick mascara brushes and this one is just that. It doesn't flake or smudge, although I must admit this never seems to be a problem for me regardless of the mascara. The only down side to this is that it has a funny smell, a sort of chemical, glue like smell??? My HG mascara is still No7 360 however this isnt far behind!!
I would give the 2.5 if I could. Its the first eye primer I have tried and as much as it pains me to say it I'm a little disappointed. The main reason I wanted to try it was because it would help neutralise my eyelid which I think it does very well and for that reason I really like it. However, I don't think it makes my eyeshadow stay on any longer and I think it makes creasing a little worse. For these reasons I mainly use it on its own with some eyeliner and lots of mascara when I'm in a rush and I quite like that look but don't think i'd buy it again. Will try a different one the next time and hopefully get better results!
I have been using this for about a month and think its just ok. Like the othesr have said, not enough granules in this. It hasn't broke my skin out and my skin does feel clean after but I like scrubs to be quite rough and leave my skin feeling really soft which I just don't think this does. Would probably be ok for someone who already has smooth, clear skin. Also, very cheap!
I love this moisturiser and use it every day. I have tried hundreds of different moisturisers from dirt cheap to very expensive and always go back to this! It is one of the few that does not break me out. I have dry combination skin and this is perfect for it, its not greasy at all but doesn't dry my skin out either. Its very cheap and lasts a long time. Cant think of anything bad to say!!!
Highlighters -Smashbox - Soft Lights - Smashing Highlight
Swalk88 12/29/2010 11:18:00 AM
I got this for Christmas as part of a gift set. To be honest I have never used a highlighter before and wasn't that sure what to do with it. Thought it would end up at the bottom of my make up bag and never get used, however I was wrong!! I looked it up on the smashbox website where it says it can be used on the nose, cheeks or anywhere you want a boost of radiance. At first I swept it over my cheeks and couldn't believe how great it looked. It has a slight peachy-pink undertone and gives my skin a lovely glow, and so now I lightly sweep it all over my face. Don't think I will use it everyday to work but will use it when going out etc. Will repurchase when it runs out although think it will last quite a while.
Blush -MAC - Blushcreme - Lilicent ] [DISCONTINUED]
Swalk88 12/29/2010 11:07:00 AM
I have had this for about a year now and I have an on/off relationship with it!! Sometimes I love it and sometimes I think it looks a bit cakey. I use my fingers but think that's where I might be going wrong so will have to try using it with a brush. They colour is a lovely natural pinky peach and I do think that it lasts longer than other blushes. Generally I like it, think Im just not sure about cream blushers.
