Pressed Powders -Clinique - Stay-Matte Sheer Pressed Powder
Susie31 4/15/2013 6:22:00 PM
my mom just gave me this for my birthday. she knows I have oily skin. it most DEFINATELY causes a massive amount of oil rebound for me that I havent seen in years! a lot of times oil control products do cause oil rebound,MORE OIL!!! I use maybelline dream matte powder for years with NO oil rebound. everyone is different. the color 01 Buff is pale yay, I am ppp and nc 10 and it didnt add any darkness to my face and is very sheer (no coverage that I could tell) but it didnt do a thing for oil, coverage, setting. or finish that I could see. high end powders never work for me. foundation do. but so far only origins silk screen powder was any good (out of business) and I tried even estee lauder matte powder (I did a review) and it was the worst thing I have ever put on my face. I have to say when looking for oil control no one beats erno laszlo though. and there is a powder. he specializes in oil control and movie stars used to wait months for a $10,000 appointment for a reason. check it out cuz he has a whole expansive line for acne and oil control. anyway on this powder: no coverage no special pretty finish no oil control but CAUSED me a great deal more oil than usual no break outs or sensitivity though. 01 buff is pale! (looks dark in container) is not pink. is not too yellow.

well. i am a PPP nc 10... and the 805 ivory went on pale white, then you can immediately watch it..change to the orangy tan undertone yet not that bad at all. just my eye is super sensitive for it, (I was looking for it) so I set it with powder and went about my day. it stayed, it doesnt budge, even to 10 pm. I have very oily skin, and that seemed great too! I didnt get shiny. I looked healthy. it is matte but sateen matte. (not flat) brings light to face, and looks fresh. as far asdarkening.. I simply looked flushed or like I had some color from sun... in a healthy way..workable.. and NOT the dreaded, oh hell no that I do with 99% because I LOVE my nc 10 complexion and any lines of demarcation or orange or pink or anything too much, even just slightly, and im like no way. so its there but strangely enough, not in the way to out you off. and that has never happened to me before basically its like PPP... but the undertone insead of being a dreaded unnatural shade... its like a superlight tan beige... rather than a very unnatural kind of orange or pink. its there, but not intolerable. as ,like I said 99% are intolerable for me, so id say try it if thats your concern (example loreal infallible in soft ivory and almays lightest... just cant do those) I cant do anything 'classic ivory" I use lightest in any line and usually its still too dark. cuz I am SO Picky with that its not even funny. coverage was full, yet natural and not masky. it didnt even budge from sides of my nose and even revlon colorstay whipped does come off sides of nose (but thats still my HG for now for other reasons) and this is a great second runner up that ill still reach for and in Summer months itll be perfect. I do not tan though on purpose, but if I get a little Sun just by regular activities.... it doesnt settle in lines, and I looked younger, I am 39. (in a few days yikes) id almost say that for a PPP this is one makeup ever so slightly 'too dark' that actually makes you look better, like healthy color..rather than just 'wrong' it matched my neck but my face skin does not match my neck as many PPP are familiar with. my face is much lighter. ive done a ton of peels and things. retin-a etc. I would buy again cuz its rare for me to be happy all day with any makeup.buy it:)! .UPDATE after a week or two I am reaching for this much MORE than my previous HG revlon colorstay whipped. I just look younger and more natural and fresh. lasting power is about the same and that = awesome and incredible! 805 ivory didnt oxidize or get too dark (it will with the wrong(too dark) powder.... I love it a whole lot! it photographed beautifully on my birthday and anniversary (see I chose it for two important days) I never do any touch ups after long days and walking/sweating outdoors...two thumbs up! I THOUGHT it was breaking me out in the first few days and maybe it was, but as can hopefully happen sometimes your skin can get used to it and breakouts subside and NOT continue. so I cleared up! I bought the auromere turmeric neem sandalwood bar, that always does the trick every single time, when I get that kind of 3 times a year breakout....(I am acne prone) much more often than that! I just mean 2 or 3 times a year that auromere bar is my emergency fix cuz it works everytime. I just dont keep it in stock cuz its not in a local store, I gotta order online.... I have to say I am MUCH MORE SHINY with this than the revlon colorstay whipped.. but it doesnt BUDGE AT ALL. and I look almost better for the shine in a weird way.. I attribute it to being 39... I mean I look younger..... and not overly oily. I will keep going back and forth between the two to see what is the deal. because to me the revlon whipped had me looking so young, yet totally dry/matte.all day and night.. and now this I am shiny.. and finding, wow I look even younger! when thats what I thought about the other already! oh and I have to use MORE of this. its not as pigmented or full coverage but is SOOO buildable...without any mask like effect....so you can easily GET to full coverage,.no problem. its good for PPP nc 10'

Blush -Maybelline - Expert Wear Blush

this is for the duo expertwear siamese pink my favorite blush ever on PPP its a soft cool toned pink that softens your overall look without being at all too fairy, or bubblegum, or gray or silver... looks supernatural. not highly pigmented no but enough! pretty! on me not too shimmery at all. not matte either. extremely buildable when layering as the pigment is low. but perfect. there is no peach coral or brown in this shade. neither obnoxious pink pink. like a soft seashell pink. a no makeup look.... well.. looks like you have it on.. but doesnt look overdone like so many blushes do that just ruin your whole look I am 38 and learning less is more. the whole face looking all one color (pale) is much better im finding! so this is perfect. before I used to cut off my all pale face.... with stark blush...... too dark and intense which you dont realize you are actually contouring in the wrong spots! when 38, blush too high, too low, too dark, too close to the nose or eyes etc etc are just all wrong. this is #1 blush for me yay it cannot go wrong no matter the application ,heavy or light,or where it is on the face whatsoever. and it does a LOT.

I have enjoyed this in navy very much. good alternative to black, not shock bright but has enough color! not at all halloweenish, perfect for everyday. navy is exactly as it says a dark blue. no shimmers or sparkles. for my very sensitive lense wearing eyes it has been awesome. I just bought it in emerald green. which I heard is like a greyish green. I like that the colors are subtle, like I said for everyday , for my 30-something self. recommended. never budged flaked or came off at all. waterproof.slept in etc. never any problem. just adds subtle color, I admit , like others have reviewed..the formula doesnt do much in the way of thickening, lengthening.or shaping.its also a bit dry or matte like. not shiny. but I love it. will purchase again.

Blush -Milani - Baked Blush in Dolce Pink
Susie31 12/23/2012 8:44:00 AM
ummm im surprised some say its glittery some say not i can see why. i am ppp very pale on me you cant ee any glitter which is good but you cant see any gold and i wanted more gold toshow all i see is a super light barely there bubble gum like pink. i want golds in my pinks to warm it up yet not turn orange or muddy... so the colors stay seperate..so pink stats pink and cool so I found serious skin care galaxy crush blush and that did it.. its a marbellized blush with equal parts pink mauve purple and light brown(light taupe cool toned ) with gold.... 4 colors. i would not buy this dolce pink again because its too light i cant over do it... i can apply it 5 times in full doses to my cheeks and still barely see a thing and I dont see any gold or glitters at all even looking close. so i can say if nothing else it looks natural. didnht seem to last too long either.also its rather gritty, nothing finely milled about this one. its like sand.

Lipstick -Milani - Sheer Color [DISCONTINUED]
Susie31 12/23/2012 8:26:00 AM
milani sheer color in AMBROSIA.. a perfect spring shade happy happy color... like aurora in coty years ago. its a perfect coral. orangy red pink. coral. not orange. its golden SLIGHT sheen on top.... its just so great and happy and sheer pigmented and glossy. I never found a coral i like til this one. cuz they are always too orange without enough balance oh i just remember EXACTLY what color this is its PADPARADCHA a rare stone, gem that color can only be described as aurora or padparadcha(spelling?) cuz there is NO other color like it in nature. and I got it in a lipstick yay! mystic fire simulated stones get a close match... its the padparadcha ,on the coral red pink side and not the orange one, you can look it up its fun haha

Lipstick -Milani - Sheer Color-Lite Latte
Susie31 12/23/2012 8:21:00 AM
I just bought 5 milani lipsticks all at once and hadnt used milani before and I have to say out of the 5 this was the one that made me the most happy! and i LOVED them all. I review all 5 here today on makeup alley. I thought oh wow the perfect everyday spring summer lipstick! a wonderful bronzy caramel color! like brown sugar ! with gold !its on warmer side yet in a rare and GOOD way for once cuz i ALWAYZZZZZ steer clear of warm shades and opt for cool and neutral even with brown.. so this one is an exception for ONCE in my life.must be the gold sheen they use is like a white gold rather than a yellow one, I dunno. what it is. they just know how to do warm browns. without making you feel you went 'dirty, orange warm, muddy' etc...its just perfect. I am pale with reddish hair. this lipstick tone seems for just about anyone. milani mixes tones within one lipstick enough that you feel your eyes can play tricks on you trying to adjust to it in a fun playful way and i love that.. like... hmm.. is this cool or warm? pink or brown.. purple or gold.. etc! all their lipsticks do that . and thats why i love them. they all seem to be two shades... at the same time.. and all the reviews seem to say same haha. so they correctly balance the undertones. so no one has to say its 'too' this or that..too warm or too orange etc.... they are always just right. RAVE...oh yeah and glossy! yet highly pigmented with a small amount.

Lipstick -Milani - Pink Mood
Susie31 12/23/2012 8:14:00 AM
yes this is a DARK beige... doesnt mean its a dark color..mean dark "beige" a taupe that is more pinky.,if youd ever call that 'pink'! its just that undertone so thats its not warm which is what i was looking for so thats good.. its that clay mud pink... the color itself is neither light nor dark it is medium.. and flesh tone but not a nude or light beige if thats what youre looking for. its darker. I am very pale though. its super creamy and matte, and glossy. and almost gel like for its creaminess. all milani for me goes on STICKY gel like and just melds into creamy consistency instantly and glossy.. makes for longer lasting power. I would totally buy this again and wear it often. I am just more into their shimmery shades for now with the gold specks in them cuz they are not sparkly but have a foil sheen to them. so although its a matte and cool toned color I can say its not matte in finish, its a gloss like. but not TOO much. all milanis made my lips look much larger and fuller and plumped up. and feel very comfortable on. seems to be a good everyday mod understated shade. demure. im about to do my hair red.. but this is the kind of cool taupe awesome for blondes and brunettes.!!! im partial to all things neutral cool toned and ashy hair colors.. cool blondes and ash browns.. with neutral brown lip. rave!

Lipstick -Milani - Sheer Color Lipstick in Bella-Tini
Susie31 12/23/2012 8:06:00 AM
ive been wearing this everyday since I got it. I agree with reviewers, a wonderful unusual mix in that its a lavender mauve purple.. medium, not light nor dark... with that lovely taupe/lightb rown hint to it with the gold sheen SLIGHT on top thats just so awesome RAVE! its super glossy. and stays on.creamy yet sheer like.. lots of pigment! I have been looking for all things with gold in them and milani fits the bill. most all their lipsticks (well I just got 5) and 4 of them have gold undertone,sparkles.. you do not see 'sparkles' whatsoever, in the tube you see it.. but on your lips it comes off perfectly as the understated gold FOIL sheen instead! thats GREAT! A+

Lipstick -Milani - Melon Fizz
Susie31 12/23/2012 8:03:00 AM
I will be reviewing 5 milani lipsticks. i got 5 all at once and had never used milani before. I am in love with all 5 of them and they are all 5 totlly diff types of shades. I feel I had never even used or worn lipstick before having these. I wanna trash all my others. (granted they were all like dollar ones, like wet n wild and nyc ) this color is so different and awesome. like everyone says.. such a LIGHT peach, thick creamy GLOSSY color. I cantbelieve how GLOSSY and wet moisturizing yet creamy all the milani liptsicks are.. they are almost gel like, so they stay on. this light peach is infused with lots of gold.. but its such a NICE gold.. I HATE when things get too 'warm/dirty/orange/muddy' on me. and yet thegold in this is like asandy or white gold.. not a yellow gold. its just the right balance with the peach. the PERFECT spring summer shade ever. I am pale with blondish red hair... about to go burgundy with henna. this shade seems great though for anyone. it has to grow on you.. and it just will very quickly! RAVE!!!!!!!!!!!

Pressed Powders -Maybelline - Instant Age Rewind Protector Finishing Powder [DISCONTINUED]
Susie31 11/20/2012 6:51:00 AM
I didnt like it at all but I can say that for PPP NC10 extremely pale that creamy natural fit that bill. it is like almost white which I wanted. (no matter how tan it looks in pan) ok but I do not like the glitter. or the finish, or the oil control ...which it didnt have, no coverage and most of all.,.... I didnt like how it totally within a short time BROKE UP my foundation underneath which nothing else has ever broken up. and that was my revlon colorstay whipped creme which stays perfectly put with other powders but this powder removed it from my face in patches within minutes. only thing I like was shade creamy natural again VERY pale.

I think I got swan.. whatever was lightest. I just didnt like it cuz its made with a lot of oil and I have oily skin and it just didnt work for me. turned oily fast. I am very happy with the paleness of it of course. pale skinned ladies... also check out NYX foundations. (they have one even lighter than this) its clay like stiff in container so yeah you gotta warm it up....in palm of hand or something. its 'ok' beautiful satin like finish. awesome coverage. just oily. I think itsmade with mineral oil or petrolatum (vaseline) I am having luck with ivory 110 revlon whipped creme instead.

Powder -Physicians Formula - CoverToxTen50 Wrinkle Therapy Face Powder
Susie31 11/7/2012 12:25:00 PM
I like that translucent fair is pale enough for PPP ultra pale NC10 skin. that by itself is great cuz I rarely find anything pale enough. its not at all pink on me. or yellow.. just light and neutral.... I am 38 with very oily skin and wow I agree with some others here and elsewhere on internet that this has AMAZING oil control! way more than my dream matte powder or anything ive ever tried. I was surprised as its not even touted as oil control.... it DRIES your skin out... but thats just to be expected with a GOOD oil control product,., 'at first' so ill give it time.. at least a week..or a month to see if the drying/oil control effect is even too much! but skin should adjust. gives skin a very nice smooth finish, youthful looking. no matte no glow, no shimmer... just right. (matte effect of course, I mentioned oil control..but not flat ,matte "finish") I like it a lot. I will have to see if skin adjusts well enough for it is STRONG. I even felt I was allergic or something. not sure yet. you can 'feel' it on.... meaning like its 'doing' something ACTIVE.

Crème -Revlon - ColorStay Whipped Creme Makeup
Susie31 11/2/2012 6:07:00 PM
best makeup ive ever worn, HG all the way I dont think ive ever called anything an HG ,except for something I used 20 years ago. its pale enough for my PPP NC10 (Ivory 110)skin and to me it is neutral.did not oxidize. no undertones thank goodness cuz I hate all undertones of any kind. its neutral! coverage fantastic, one light layer all over and go back as would with a concealer over spots. perfect. STAYS PUT..and asMANY have said it does that wonderful thing looking BETTER with each passing hour... I look so much YOUNGER with this (I am 38) it says no parabens and real SILK in ingredients. nothing has ever looked better on my underyes than this in my life (no concealer needed) it blends SOOOOOO easily. keep in mind, like many.. I cannot use the liquid colorstay. for one ivory ..is not right for me... and it broke me out,and was mask like. this whipped creme looks soooo natural.... it shows untold (didnt know I had with other makeups) DIMENSION to your face.! you will look like a cherub suddenly lol, youll see what I mean... 'dimension' and softness. I am oily.... and yes as many have said I blot but when you blot its to PERFECTION.. just pressing down with a tissue, toilet paper (ha) and its like you just applied. its worth it. besides as it gets better with each hour.. it 'melts/becomes one with' your face to look like your own good skin..... well even better. so instead of looking gross and oily and seperated it just looks good. like glowy in a good way. not shiny. (and wasnt that bad) was my normal oil..not extra! I cannot say enough good thing you gotta go get it. I dont think ive ever walked by a mirror like 5-7 hours after applying makeup and thought, wow I look even better now! yep it's true. I topped with powder/my dream matte powder in cream light 4-5. it is perfection. I feel I have a 'new palette' now lol it made me so excited I went and bought new blushes n stuff. I have literally 30 foundations upstairs... mostly high end... not drug store....well ALL.... and this is the best. no settling in lines whatsoever..undereyes look so fresh and rested and younger. its so perfect I almost suddenly look asian lol, like porcelain doll like.. it defines shape of eyes ,they look more almond shape.... youll keep doing double takes of yourself with this makeup:) I feel I got some confidence back! cuz I dont wanna look good anyway if its just gonna come off and not last... so not only looks great you can put it on and forget about it! oh and I dont FEEL it at all..like nothing is on my skin....it covered all acne scars as well. looks good in so many different lights too. looks illuminated without any shine or sparkes or 'dewy' with oily skin I avoid all that...FAR from powdery or flat matte, its just right. soft ,smooth and dimensional. baby skin.
