Concealers -Clinique - Airbrush Concealer
SuperNude 9/6/2010 12:05:00 AM
First of all I would say that I would agree with the guru John Gustafsson that these airbrush type liquids are not really concealers more HIGHLIGHTERS. They simply don't have the coverage power. So I think the description of the packaging of this product is misleading. So I deduct 1 lippy. If you want to brighten the dark circles under the eye area I have found this product to be excellent. It has, as mentioned by other reviewers, excellent light reflective properties which are good for reducing shadows say at the corners of the mouth, round the nose area. I repeat buy this again and again because I find the FAIR which has slighty pinkish undertones suits my complexion. Other similar products have a yellow/ beige base which tends to make my skin look sallow. This product definitely brightens and lifts my complexion. It comes in three shades. Packaging is contemporary, clean and modern. At £15 it tends to last 2 - 3 months with daily use. Compared with the competitors this product I think is good value for money.

Skincare - Face -Santa Maria Novella - Acqua di Rose (Rose Water)
SuperNude 9/5/2010 11:25:00 PM
You cannot go wrong with this product. It is just the most wonderful, almost cabbage roselike scent. Very soothing and refreshing. It is an HG for me. Very good value for money compared to other high end brands. The 500 ml size is particularly economical. Packaging, good quality: simple and elegant. Would highly recommend.

Lotions/ Creams -Unlisted Brand - Astral Cream
SuperNude 2/23/2010 8:36:00 PM
I've recently rediscovered this cream after suffering dry patches on my elbows that I just couldn't shift. I had tried expensive body lotions, emu oil, other highstreet brands and this was the only cream that did the job in 3 applications. I also recently visited my BF in Belgium and my 17 month old goddaughter had chapped, sore cheeks from the cold weather. She too had tried a range of expensive pharmaceutical preparations without success. I was slightly wary of trying Astral on a small child's face as it is perfumed, but one use of Astral, softened and soothed. In a matter of days my goddaughter's cheeks were back to normal and my friend was impressed. Needless to say, I returned home without my pot!

Gels/Soaps -Bliss Labs - Vanilla and Bergamot Bubbling Bath and Shower Gel
SuperNude 8/18/2009 1:17:00 PM
In complete agreement with Ziebam on this product. This was a gift. Am not a huge vanilla fragrance fan and initially found a bit sickly. It does grow on you if you use in small quantities - so a little goes a long way. Found it very good for shaving. A downside for me is the sodium laureth sulfate which tends to dry out my skin. This is ok and does the job. But I would personally not be re-purchase.

Blush -Pixi - Cheek Gel Blush
SuperNude 5/24/2009 1:16:00 AM
This is a product that I have been using for years and out of all the cheek / lip tints (Yes! I use it for both) out there I keep on coming back to this product. I find it much easier to apply and blend a gel formulation as opposed to a liquid one and this product gives a nice even flush of colour.

Skincare - Body -Laura Mercier - Creme Brulee Hand Creme
SuperNude 5/4/2009 8:51:00 PM
This product was given to me as a gift and being aware of its expense - I have felt obliged to make the most of it. I wouldn't purchase again for the following reason; my major gripe is the smell. I'm personally not a fan of vanilla scents in the first place but to make matters worse the aroma of this cream is particularly cloying and sickly. It does, however, moisturize exceptionally well. I have been using it as a night time treatment on hands, feet and elbows and it produces good results. Leaving skin soft and smooth.

Conditioner -L'Oreal - Elvive Nutri-Gloss conditioner
SuperNude 3/30/2009 9:03:00 AM
I've bought this conditioner as a budget buy and I am really impressed with the results. I personally find the smell a little bit overpowering which is why I am deducting 1 point - but this is easily resolved by just ensuring that you rinse properly. I have fine (but lots of it) damaged by highlighting and I have found that this product really smoothes and adds shine! I haven't been using it long enough to notice any build up but so far so good and would recommend it.

Blush -NARS - Deep Throat
SuperNude 8/11/2008 8:46:00 PM
This is a great blush and I think would suit a variety of skin tones. It is hard to find the perfect blush but I think NARS has really hit the nail on the head here. A delicious peach with a subtle golden shimmer. The quality of the powder and the way the pigment disperses evenly without streaking make it easy to apply, for a light even, healthy glow during the day or build up for more shimmery look at night.

Lotions/ Creams -Nuxe - Huile Prodigieuse (Multipurpose dry oil)
SuperNude 8/11/2008 8:23:00 PM
This is a good 'work horse' product. Not cheap, but not hideously expensive either and a bottle lasts a long time. It can be used as a moisturiser for face (overnight treatment), hair (spray on a little extra and place a hot towel for a deeper treatment) and body. Is good for cuticles - so great staple for manis and pedis. I have even used it as a shave oil by massaging and warming on to the legs a quick dowse of warm water and away you go. It sinks in well to a dry finish with a warm, nutty, feintly honey/monoi aroma.

Conditioner -Matrix - Biolage - Earth Tones Natural Brown Color Refreshing Conditioner
SuperNude 8/6/2008 10:34:00 PM
I am devastated that Matrix have discontinued the Biolage Earth Tones Conditioners. I have had such fantastic results with this product. It is great for colour, shine and moisture to colour treated hair. I actually wrote to Matrix who confirmed that this product has now been discontinued but did not as yet have a replacement for this range. A great pity.

Treatments -Philip Kingsley - Scalp Tonic
SuperNude 8/6/2008 10:27:00 PM
I don't know whether this tonic works on its own to provide relief from itchy, flaky scalp. When I have itchy moments I do apply and it does seem to lessen the need to scratch. I have found that in combination with the other products from the PK line Itchy, Flaky Scalp Mask and Shampoo in particular I have had excellent results and as a consequence I now use this range daily.

Treatments -Philip Kingsley - Scalp Mask
SuperNude 8/6/2008 10:18:00 PM
This is an essential product for me. I have suffered from itchy, greasy and flaky scalp for a long time. It was so bad even hairdresser's have commented which was embarrassing. I have tried many a product Aveda, Phytol, Head and Shoulders, Nizoral, to name but a few and only two regimens work for me. The PK Itchy Flaky Scalp Shampoo, Mask & Tonic combined or Selsun which smells revolting. It took a few weeks perseverence but I did eventually feel relief and see results. My only gripe is the packaging for the scalp mask. Which is particularly difficult to use once there is less than half the product remaining to extract and apply the cream. I often resort to cutting the tube in half to make the most of my purchase. Its not ideal.

Lotions/ Creams -Biotherm - Baume Corps - Intensive body
SuperNude 8/6/2008 9:55:00 PM
This is an excellent, intensely moisturising, body lotion which gives fast, effective results for dry skin. I personally like the scent and warmth of the apricot oil which predominates. It sinks in well and does not leave any greasiness. It is not the cheapest of body moisturisers but a little goes a long way and a 400ml bottle lasted a long time (6 months plus). I tend to use this as an intensive treatment during winter months when I am prone to dry skin outbreaks on elbows, knees etc. I have repurchased and is now a bathroom cupboard staple..

Hair -Philip Kingsley - Elasticizer
SuperNude 5/6/2008 8:19:00 PM
I used to have the worst itchy flaky scalp condition ever - it was utterly embarassing. I tried every single brand under the sun. Phyto, Aveda, Kerastase, Head & Shoulders, Nizoral, to name but a few. None have been as effective as the Philip Kingsley range. Elasticizer definitely requires perseverence. I did not notice a huge difference immediately but I noticed a marked improvement in my hair condition after 2 - 3 months of using the product range as a whole. I would use Elasticizer fortnightly wrap my hair in a plastic bag and cover with a hot towel / occasionally use on dry hair as a leave in moisturizer during summer when my ends would become bleached by sun and chlorine. This is a high quality product and I would recommend.
