Blush -MAC - Mineralize Blush Duo - Love Rock (Grand Duos Coll.)
Supa 3/17/2009 1:02:00 PM

Shade is described as "Gold violet mélange / bright blue pink" and very accurate. Although this shade is beautiful, I felt this one was too pink and ordinary among the rest in the collection. Once applied, it just looked like every other pink blush. I'm not saying that it's not fabulous, but I would not repurchase since I own many other "pink" blushes.

Described as "Copper pink mélange / plum" and it is an accurate description. This one stood out from the collection because the look I could achieve from each side of the blush, compared to mixing the colors together, provided very different results as you could see in the swatch. Since I'm very fair, I use a light hand and a skunk brush to apply, but the results are just gorgeous!

This is the most unique blush from the whole collection. Nice balance between peach and pink. It gives the cheeks a really nice glow. Described as "Blue pink mélange / pale yellow pink" and I think it's pretty accurate.
I would repurchase if I ever ran out. Retail: $22.50

Pressed Powders -MAC - Hello Kitty Kouture - Sheer Mystery Powder (Light Medium)
Supa 3/6/2009 3:30:00 AM
*PICS*
I did it - I caved and bought this powder for $90. Is it worth it? Yes and no. So far, there's nothing mysterious about this powder besides the price. It looks like very finely milled pressed powder to me. I used a kabuki brush and applied this all over my foundation and it did give me a very finished look. It's extremely soft to touch and no apparent glitter/shimmer.
The product came in a fancy/flashy box along with an extra powder refill and applicator refill. There is only 5g/0.17oz of product in each pan. It probably won't last long if it's used on a daily basis, but it's great for touch-ups. The filled compact weighs 4.75oz so it's pretty heavy for a compact if you're on the go.
If you're a Hello Kitty fan and you don't want to spend $90 on a pressed powder, stay far far away from MAC because this is really temptingly flashy.
One thing I dislike about this compact is the applicator - usual cheap puff that comes with pressed powders. I thought for this price it would come with a magic wand, but I guess not. I also thought about replacing the applicator, but the well of the compact is much smaller than most pressed powders so I may just use a brush to apply.

Eyeliner -MAC - Glitter Eye Liner - Glitterpuss
Supa 2/20/2009 7:34:00 PM
Great eye liner, lovely color, looked very nice over pencil eye liner... but it made my eyes burn! I have sensitive eyes, but I've never had this problem with any MAC glitter eye liner, nor any MAC product. Sad, but I had to return it and all I'm left with is the picture of the product and swatch.

Description from MAC: Sheer peachy pink with pearl (Lustre)
Cute lipstick that matches its name perfectly. Adorable packaging and smooth non-drying formula. This lipstick makes my lips appear shiny and wet. Nevertheless it's too sheer for my taste which I feel is the job of gloss.

From MAC website: "Limited edition Hello Kitty Tinted Lip Conditioner featuring a shiny black cap with the Hello Kitty figure on a pop-art pattern background."
15ml / 0.5 US FL OZ
Description: Lively coral pink
Retail: $14.50
Wow, what a pleasant surprise! I'm not a very big fan of lip products that come in pot form, but after swatching this in the MAC store, I had to grab one. Contrary to belief about tinted lip conditioners, this particular shade is highly pigmented and lasts a long time on the lips. You can apply a tiny bit for subtle color and layer more for a "pop" of color.

Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Sin
Supa 2/15/2009 9:08:00 PM

Great addition to the Urban Decay Primer Potion family. Described as "shimmering champagne" and it's accurate. Great color payoff and smooth, fluffy texture. One downside to this product is the packaging. The UDPP Sin is in the same type of packaging as the orignal UDPP, but for some reason this product oozes out of the container every time I use it. I only use this primer with my warm-tone eye shadows, but it's a good addition to my collection nevertheless.

This lipglass was love at first sight. Perfect worn alone and over lipstick. Beautiful Hello Kitty packaging. MAC describes the shade as "sheer berry with blue pearl" and that pretty much sums it all up.

Lip Treatments -Bath and Body Works - Mentha Lip Balm Stick
Supa 12/19/2008 3:33:00 AM
This is exactly what I needed - for my SO especially. He dislikes how lip balms make his already "plump" lips look extra shiny- not quite the look he's going for. The no-shine formula gives lips a matte look, but it's also moisturizing. (Extra nice that the tube is black and it doesn't look girly like many other lip products). I like to use this prior to applying bold lipsticks and it works great. The minty smell/taste is not over the top and definitely refreshing. This is good for applying at nighttime as well, since it doesn't make my lips feel sticky or glossy. Would I repurchase? Yes, both for myself and my SO. Would I recommend? Yes, both for men and women. Retails for $7.50 but BBW always has specials and sales so it's worth it.

Lips -MAC - Adoring Carmine: Neutral Lips Bag
Supa 11/5/2008 3:53:00 PM

I love this set! I somehow ended up with 2 sets, but it's so worth it. The kit comes with 2 full sized lipsticks (Real Treasure & Soft Spot), a mini lipglass (My Dear), and a cute draw-string bag. Both lipsticks are quite sheer, but enough color to give lips an "oomph". My Dear lipglass looks fabulous over Soft Spot lipstick. Set retails for $34.50 and comes in a nice shiny red box (perfect for holiday gift-giving).

Lipstick -MAC - Hot Gossip - Cremesheen
Supa 9/29/2008 2:31:00 PM
*PICS*
This is one of the new lipsticks from the "Cremesheen Collection" released Sept. '08. MAC describes this shade as "Mid-tone pinky plum". Where is the plum?
When I applied this at the back of my hand, it appeared to be a soft pink with a hint of plum... so I got excited and purchased it.
Once applied on the lips, however, it was just a bright pink lipstick on me. Not like fuchsia pink, but too bright for my taste nevertheless. I will try using this lipstick with various lip pencils to see if I can tone the color down, but worn alone, it looked silly on my MAC C1 skin tone. =(
If you're a pink lipstick kind of gal, this may work for you. The texture is smooth and it's not any more drying than other MAC lipsticks if you're worried about that.

Lipstick -MAC - Cremesheen - Creme d'Nude
Supa 9/29/2008 2:21:00 PM

This is one of the new lipsticks from the "Cremesheen Collection" released Sept. '08. MAC describes this shade as "Pale muted peach beige". I would add "milky" in the name somewhere to describe the shade better.
When I tested this at the counter along with the rest of the Cremesheen lipsticks, this appeared to be the most sheer in texture among the 14.
It looked like a great nude lip color so I grabbed this and Hot Gossip (separate review).
Upon applying it on my lips, I noticed the lipstick glided over my lips very nicely *but* it accentuated the drier parts of my lips, leaving a milky film over it, so I exfoliated my lips and started over.
I'm a C1 and I felt like the color didn't quite agree with me... maybe if I had really dark smoky eye makeup it might suit me better?
Overall this is just another ordinary lipstick IMHO, it's just too milky and sheer to make a difference on my lips. Maybe wearing this over an Amplified Creme lipstick would make it more suitable?
