Lotions/ Creams -Johnson & Johnson - Softlotion - Bedtime Lotion

I LOVE this lotion for when I come out of the shower and on my hands and neck before bedtime. The hand cream version is DC but glad this is still here. I have the huge pump next to my bed. Moisturizing quality is a bit lacking, but then again it IS for babies :) on areas like my legs and arms that need more moisture I put on Aveeno or eucerin on top.

Lotions/ Creams -The Body Shop - Buriti Baby Body Butter

Those who do not like powdery scents may not like this. About product: -"No nasties" -Consistency is nice, gel-like cooling feeling on application but melts into skin. -The yellow butter looks so yummy! -Scent is definitely stronger than the sample I tried at the store. Probably from being opened a lot? Quite a bummer because I would have liked it a bit more toned down. Knocked a lippy off for that. EDIT The smell started overwhelming me.. the heat and sweat did not help I can't use this anymore.

Eyeliner -Wet 'n' Wild - Mega Liner Liquid Eyeliner
rated 3 of 5
StrawberryJuice 5/3/2011 6:41:00 PM

I rate this a 2 from my experience, my sister a 4 or 5, so to be fair I give this a 3. Pros: -Thin brush tip for precise application -Color is very pigmented -Cheap $2-3 -Easy to wash off in normal face washing process Cons: -On me with pretty oily lids, it transfers to the bottom of my eye, the edges of the lines starts disappearing into my eyeballs giving me tiny specks I have to pick out (sister does not have this problem at all).

LOVE. My parched, sensitive, hormonal skin loves this. Pros: -Irritation? Put some of this on before bed and wake up to beautifully calm, smooth, soft, plumped skin -I personally think it smells luxurious (the price might help) -Zero greasy feel, did I say plumped calmed soft skin???? Cons: -Mighty expensive (for me at least) -Tub form (I baby this cream so I make sure to touch with clean hands with the cap on or cap off lol) My picky, sensitive -skinned mom's favorite as well. Thanks mom for getting me addicted to such an expensive cream! :)

Foundations -Bobbi Brown - Sheer Finish Pressed Powder In Pale Yellow
rated 5 of 5
StrawberryJuice 5/3/2011 6:20:00 PM

Probably the only matte powder I like ALOT. Very finely milled, silky almost. I am NC15-20 and this is perfect for my skin. The only problem is that it got dropped once and it cracked pretty bad. I still have it to tap my brush into, sitting unmoved on the counter. Ahh expensive but so nice. Must use it all up and buy again.

Powder -Laneige - Sliding Pact EX Snow Crystal
rated 5 of 5
StrawberryJuice 5/3/2011 6:13:00 PM

I LOVE this powder. Pros: -The SLIGHT pearly effect makes my face not look as 2D as with matte powders, yet doesn't make it look shimmery/glittery/sparkly. Perfect. Take your finger and get some product and lightly rub on you hands to see its perfect amount of pearly effect. -Smell is the nicest scent I've encountered with powder, not overwhelming at all -Nifty packaging so if I happen to take it out to check my face I don't look as vain as when I would opening a normal fold-open compact. -Touch ups are awesome, never cakey. I use the puff actually to pat lightly into the powder and pat onto my face for touchups and after liquid foundation. (use oil paper first or any tissue sort as with any powders) I get sick of products very easily but this happens to fit my likings very well. This and Bobbi Brown powder if I had to choose another powder. I'm NC15-20, so pretty fair complexion and I use the #2

Blush -MAC - blushcreme ladyblush
rated 5 of 5

One of the blushes (out of MANY) that I don't regret buying. Pros: -The color is a nice, natural, healthy flush -Easy to apply--when I'm in a rush, I just swirl my ring fingers in it, smear the fingers together and start patting away starting at the apples of my cheeks and blending by tapping. If I go a bit dark on the outer edges I just blend away with my clean fingers and blend the edges out. Literally takes less than a minute. The color might come out dark on initial application but blends away to a real pretty color you can adjust by the amount you use and blending. Cons: -On HOT days, fades a bit but doesn't completely disappear , recommend blush/setting powder on top for those days

Crème -MAC - Mineralize Foundation
rated 4 of 5
StrawberryJuice 5/3/2011 5:42:00 PM

Pros: -Good for my dry cheek--has a slightly sticky finish which I personally enjoy, not to over the top -Medium coverage for those who enjoy it -Blends and evens out skin tone nicely -No sparkles Cons: -I wish it was in squeeze tube--I think it could have been done.. -So little product for the price -Doesn't cover all acne marks (use concealer) I think using the warmth of your fingers works better for this product to blend out. I used the brush that was meant for this foundation (the little, dense, mini duo-fiber forgot the number) and I absolutely hate getting the black hairs on my face to pick off. The brush made it a little streaky and took longer to swirl, stipple, blend etc. I end up washing my hands, swirling my ring finger and streaking it across twice on my cheeks due to extra redness there, once on forehead, once on chin, and a bit on nose and under eyes and blending it that way tapping and blending, adding more if necessary. Seems to work better for me. Will try with flat top blender from Sonia Kushak next to see if that works well.

Moisturizers -The Body Shop - Carrot Cream
rated 4 of 5
StrawberryJuice 5/3/2011 5:31:00 PM

I actually used all of this cream and took about a year to finish it. Ive been on and off with it but lately has been a constant in my routine. Went for the Body Shop Aloe night cream and that was pretty much a failure for me. Pros: -Moisturizes dry flaky skin with no greasy afterfeel--just plumped feeling as a nicely moisturized face should feel Cons: -Smell is a bit strong at first couple times of use but now I'm totally fine with it considering I'm pretty sensitive to scents So far, the only nicely moisturizing cream for my parched skin, $20 dollars decently priced IMO. Much cheaper than my fav Shiseido Bio-Performance Super Restoring Cream.

Pros: -No discerning scent for those sensitive to harsh chemical scents -Seemingly gentle enough Cons: -Leaves a slightly greasy feel on face after the initial moisture sets in -Redness is not alleviated -Clogged a few pores on cheeks All in all: will not buy again--gonna return it actually (I tried this for a week)

Moisturizers -Cerave - Facial Moisturizing Lotion - PM
rated 2 of 5
StrawberryJuice 3/30/2011 12:32:00 AM

I loved this product for the first 2 days. It was fragrance-free, non-greasy, made my face feel like it was moisturized very nicely without it being greasy or like as if it was sitting on top of skin being useless. It made my makeup go on well too. SIGH I am on a quest for another moisturizer. I started getting tiny bumps all over my face, not pimples but tiny bumps and red patches all over. I thought it was either this or my new foundation so stopped using both foundation and cerave for 2 weeks and skin got better. 3 days ago, I tried this again and once again I have these tiny irritation bumps and red patches all over my face. My face now feels rumbly and I feel miserable. I use this expensive thing on my hands and legs now bc I threw my receipt and box away thinking I will love this 100% from the rave reviews. Sorry Cerave I guess we weren't meant to be.

Moisturizers -Garnier - Nutritioniste Ultra Lift Anti-Wrinkle Firming Moisture Cream SPF 15
rated 1 of 5
StrawberryJuice 6/15/2009 7:52:00 PM

I should have checked up the reviews for this before I bought it, but the buy 1 get 1 free deal blinded me. I wanted something cheap I can slather to help out with my wallet. I got the firming eye cream as well. The eye cream is pretty good but THIS is a product from hell for me. Only pros are the pump bottle and creamy consistancy. I broke out in rashes ALL over my face and up to the point where applied on my neck. My skin was swollen and red with tiny tiny bumps EVERYWHERE. It itched and burned at the same time. My skin was peeling and was sore. I had 9!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! cystic pimples on my chin that came up 2-3 at time. NINE!!!! I get one or two at most before my period but this is out of this world terrible. This went on for 3 weeks with not even my trusty Decleor balms and oils to make it go away. My friend who got it with me went through this too but not to my degree. From reading the reviews, it seems this did not happen only to me. BE CAREFUL and try it in a small area before.

Moisturizers -Alba Botanica - Hawaiian Aloe & Green Tea Oil Free Moisturizer
rated 5 of 5
StrawberryJuice 6/15/2009 7:39:00 PM

I'm on my second week of using this day and night and my skin is in the best condition it has been in months (with the help of Decleor balms and oils before starting to use this). I add two drops of jojoba oil in it at night and I wake up with soft, smooth skin. I had a case of heat rash, cystic pimples on my chin, flakies, and irritation from using Garnier moisturizer (minus the heat rash) and Burt's Bee's Garden Tomato Toner, and with the combination of this moisturizer and jojoba oil, my face noticingly healed everyday that went by. Makeup goes on really nice with this too. My foundation and powder go on looking so smooth and nice! I'm quite amazed. I just wash my hands before using this so the tub doesn't really bother me.

Fragrances -Marc Jacobs - Blush

I envy those who can smell the honeysuckle. On me it smells of armpits--and it was sprayed on my forearm. The SA told me it went on horribly bad on me.. boo. Body chemistry DOES matter.

Lip Treatments -MAC - Tinted Lip Conditioner - Petting Pink
rated 5 of 5
StrawberryJuice 2/22/2009 5:34:00 AM

Oh how I love this product. The Mac lip conditioners have me letting go of my germaphobe issues because it's just so awesome: the color, the texture, the moisturizing factor, the spf. I can use this all the time without worrying about clashing colors or on a non-makeup face. I'm kind of weird in that I always have to wash my hands or use hand sanitizer(have it on my keychain and in my car) before using this but it's so worth it. My lips are so smoothe and moisturized with a subtle and pretty color. I suspect I will buy this forever.
