Lipstick -MAC - Cremesheen - Shy Girl
rated 4 of 5

I love this lipstick! I've been a lip gloss girl for like 15 years and this lipstick has single handedly brought me back to lipstick. It's a beautiful color on my NC-35 skin. I normally wear it with the Boldly Bare lip pencil and the mix makes my lips nude with a slightly pink tint. My lips are very pigmented so I do have to swipe 4-5 times for full coverage. Also, the wear is not very long - but for some reason nothing stays on my lips longer than a couple of hours. I got this in a bring back to MAC haul, but I will definitely re-buy this.

Polishes -Unlisted Brand - Nutra Nail - Gel Perfect UV Free Gel Color

I bought this on a whim when I saw it at a local drug store. I bought the kit in Cha-Cha (a bright pink) for $13.99 and the remover for %6.99. I had high hopes and at first I was pleased with the results. I didn't understand the directions at first so my nails didn't come out great, but they dried very quickly so I was pleased. However, within 4 days I had chips! My OPI lasts longer than this. I gave it 2 lippies because if you need a super quick drying manicure but don't need it to last more than a couple of days (perhaps for a long weekend?), this may work for you. I actually decided $22 bucks for the polish and remover was not worth it, so I went back to the drug store and told them how quickly it chipped and they accepted the product back. I then went and got my nails done at the salon with Shellac.

Lipstick -Revlon - ColorBurst Lip Butter in Tutti Frutti
rated 2 of 5
StrawberryCheeksForever 4/13/2012 7:22:00 PM

I originally bought this in Peach Parfait and really didn't like it much, the giant glitter in it was drying and it wasn't really peachy, more like pink on my highly pigmented lips. They were on sale at CVS, so I decided to try buying some more in different shades and picked it up in Creme Brulee and Tuti Frutti. On it's own, I don't love tutti frutti. It's a weird orange color on me (I'm NC30-NC35). I do love it layered with the creme brulee shade. I wouldn't buy this particular shade again, but I would buy creme brulee again.

Lipstick -Revlon - Colorburst Lip Butter in Creme Brulee

I originally bought this in Peach Parfait and really didn't like it much, the giant glitter in it was drying and it wasn't really peachy, more like pink on my highly pigmented lips. I decided to try buying some more in different shades and picked it up in Creme Brulee and Tuti Frutti (BOGO 50% at CVS so they came out to about $5 each). I LOVE the creme brulee as it is moisturizing and adds a hint of shimmery nude color (I'm a NC30-NC35). I really love layering it over tutti frutti for a beautiful peach color. Would buy again, but do wish they would re-design the packaging since they are kind of hard to open.

Blush -Maybelline - Dream Bouncy Blush
rated 4 of 5
StrawberryCheeksForever 4/13/2012 7:13:00 PM

I got this in the peach satin shade, it is a very pretty peachy corally color (I'm a NC20-NC35). I see people are having issues with the color payoff, but I found that if I use a synthetic tapered blush brush, I can really concentrate the color. I also like to layer other blushes on top of this, I've tried Physicians Formula PH Blush in Natural and MAC in Dainty, and both look really nice. I wore it to work and someone actually commented on my rosy cheeks lol. I don't think it's so cheap for around $7.50, especially given the cheap packaging. And I can already see that I can hit the pan fairly quickly (which isn't necessarily a bad thing, more shopping!) I don't think I would pay the full price again, but if it's on sale I'd probably buy again.

Moisturizers -Avon - ANEW Rejuvenate Night Revitalizing Cream
rated 5 of 5
StrawberryCheeksForever 4/13/2012 7:07:00 PM

I started using this product when I turned 29 and really liked it. I was trying to save some money so decided to try the Oil of Olay lines. I tried 2 of their lines, but I didn't see the same results as I did with Rejuvenate. I use the day and night cream for face and eyes. Within 3 days I saw a decrease in my smile lines and my skin was soo soft. I will say that my lines are very fine, I'm almost 33 now and most people think I'm in my early 20's. Some people don't like the strong fragrance, but I actually really love it! It feels like I'm at the spa when I put it on. Also, I get this for about $60 for the day and night face creams, the combo eye creams, and the gel cleanser. I have a local Avon store and the owner passes on the savings to her customers. So for me the price and results are fabulous, so I will continue to use.

Blush -E.L.F. - Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder
rated 3 of 5
StrawberryCheeksForever 4/10/2012 7:34:00 PM

I was looking for a blush/bronzer combo to carry less items in my bag, and there really are not many options out there other than the NARS duos. They are expensive, so I opted to try this "dupe" since it is $3 at Target. I am kind of confused by the colors, because the bronzer is kind of dark and the blush hardly shows up (I'm a NC30). I cannot say if this is a good dupe for the NARS duos, but the finish didn't feel high end. I do own a couple of other NARS blushes (Sin and Albatross which is more of a highlighter), and they are much smoother than this. I would recommend this if you are broke, but be sure to use a light touch with the bronzer and pile on the blush and you should be good. Gets 3 lippies because it's so cheap.

Powder -It Cosmetics - Bye Bye Pores Poreless Finish HD Micro-Powder
rated 3 of 5
StrawberryCheeksForever 3/13/2012 2:57:00 PM

I like the product well enough, it is a good finishing powder that feels nice when you apply (especially with the heavenly luxe powder brush!). It is kind of expensive at $38. One day I decided to test this against Bare Minerals Mineral Veil, and I applied each one to one side of my face. Mineral Veil won hands down as my make-up had stayed in place much better on that side. I also think that ELF has a $6 powder (HD definition powder) that is basically the same thing. I’d save myself the $32 and get the ELF, or go for Mineral Veil.

Lip Treatments -eos - Lip Balm Sphere - Sweet Mint
rated 5 of 5
StrawberryCheeksForever 3/13/2012 2:49:00 PM

I love this lip balm! I keep it by my bed and it look so cute in my room-I have a girly shabby chic thing going on and the color fits well. I love that even when I wake up in the middle of the night it's easy to reach over and find it, so I really love the packaging. I also like the slight tingle you get when you apply and I think it's pretty moisturizing. I don't like that when you run low your lips hit the edges, but it took so long to get down to the end that I don't mind throwing it out before all the product is done. I’ve already repurchased a couple!

Lips -Revlon - ColorBurst Lip Butter in Peach Parfait
rated 2 of 5
StrawberryCheeksForever 3/13/2012 11:37:00 AM

Eh...I was excited to get a tinted lip balm that would be moisturizing, but this fell flat for me. I didn't like the glitter in it as I felt it was drying and I could feel it on my lips. I also don't think the Peach Parfait looked peach at all, it's more pink IMO. I got this for $3.49 because CVS had extra bucks on Revlon lip products, but I wouldn’t' repurchase for any price. I also hate the package, it looks pretty but the top is hard to remove since the ledge for holding on to the actual applicator is very small.

BB Cream -Smashbox - Camera Ready BB Cream SPF 35
rated 4 of 5
StrawberryCheeksForever 3/13/2012 11:33:00 AM

I really didn't want to like this BB cream as it is $39 for 1 oz (!), but it really does perform well. It provides more coverage than a tinted moisturizer but less than foundation, so it's nice for everyday use. I also was able to match my skin pretty well (NC30, got light) which is hard to do since I'm so yellow. I do have oily skin and this "feels" a bit oily to me (looks dewy and natural), but since the coverage is so nice, I'll deal with it with powder and blotting sheets. I gave this 4 lippies because of the price and the oily feel, though this may be great for someone with normal skin. Regardless, I will repurchase.

Concealers -It Cosmetics - Bye Bye Under Eye
rated 2 of 5
StrawberryCheeksForever 2/6/2012 1:45:00 PM

I purchased this in a kit as a today's special value on QVC - it also came with a double ended brush for concealer/foundation, bye bye pores powder, and the heavenly brush for the powder. I had been eyeing the bye bye pores for some time so I jumped on the chance to buy the kit at the price (around $60 for all 4 products). I am disappointed in this concealer and honestly have no idea how this covered that model's tattoo on the QVC presentation. I got it in the tan and it may be a bit too dark for me. Since I got this on auto-delivery from QVC, I changed the next cycle for the medium shade in hopes that it will do a better job. To be honest the only reason I don’t cancel the auto-delivery is because the brushes are so amazing (the bye bye pores powder is good too). I agree with other reviewers that this is extremely thick and shiny, it was hard to use and would probably benefit from a layer of primer before application. This may work on someone with lighter under eye circles, but if you have very dark circles like me, I’m not sure it’s worth the money.
