Hair -Unlisted Brand - Marc Anthony Dream Waves Sulfate Free shampoo

I bought the Shampoo & Conditioner from Shoppers Drug Mart at 7.99 Canadian. I am going to return the product as it made my hair seem frizzy at the ends, stringy at the roots which by the end of the day seemed greasy. When I took a picture, the back of my head seemed okay but it just made my hair unlikable. The smell was fake coconut and the ingredients there is magnesium sulfate (epsom salt) which explains the dryness. I know that they are trying to achieve a tousled full volume beach wave but it did not look like that in the end. One of the worst hair days in awhile. I like how it is sulfate free and the packaging, but that is about it.

I've bought this two times and ran out, and then was like hey I NEED this why are they always sold out now that I run out? I like it, others must like it. PROS : Lasts me 6 months Cost (cheeeaaap) Easy cat eye with felt tip No burning at all (contact lens wearer) CONS: If I'm wearing it thick enough of a line it can transfer to my upper lid, but rarely happens Clumps in corners of my eyes

I took 10 minutes to pick out a color and almost gave up, until I settled on this color, which I do not regret, it is lovely and perfect for work because it isn't to bright but not to blahhh. I love how easy it is to put on, I am kind of worried for when I have to sharpen it as it seems it might be a waste of the product, I will definitely be looking to buy a couple more of these after I see how well it sharpens. Based on what I've seen so far I would recommend REHAB.

Moisturizers -Vichy - Aqualia Thermal Baume Mineral

I bought this for about 25$ cad, at Shoppers drug mart in the summer when I was using sulfur soap to try to treat my chin acne. It helps reduce the flaking but I do find it irritates my skin if I leave it on which is why I still have some left. I know use it only as a mask in the morning or at night if I need some moisture so I apply it kinda thick and leave it on for 20 minutes and rinse with water because I think the alcohol in it really bothers my face if I leave it on. If I knew it had alcohol in it I would have not bought it, so I will not repurchase. I noticed how this has shea butter in it, but I am going to try pure unrefined shea butter and hopefully that won't sting like this does.

Cleansers -Unlisted Brand - Grandpa's Thylox Sulfur Soap

Normally I don't review a product after only 4 days of use, but I must say that this soap has reduced all the problem areas on my face. I used as directed, lather and apply for face and let sit for a minute and rinse off. I try not to irritate my skin with rubbing to hard or using a wash cloth. I wait 5-10 minutes and apply moisturizer like Nivea aqua sensation. I am seeing a huge difference on the clogged pores I had on my nose and around it and the acne I had on my chin which was little bumps and some zits under my skin. It's not getting worse before it gets better (like some products claim will happen) which I love because I have been dealing with these skin issues all Fall... I will have to update after another 2 weeks to see if it continues to get better! *update* more like 3 weeks Later... So my skin has not gotten much better and it's gotten a little worse around the chin I have the little pimples on it still. I will use up the bar and exfoliate twice a week in that area. I ran out of nivea and use Vichy mineral baume after using. It could be what's caused the breakout but I'll keep using this combo hopefully it gets better! This is my second update - I stopped using it towards the end of the bar. It wasn't making my skin better and I has been using it for 2 months.

First off, I had this in my drawer and ran out of Revlon C/S (my HG). I don't wear foundation everyday so I didn't want to go out and buy a new c/s when I had this. I used it I think twice in a week and yes I did break out. I went to work after applying it and had a little white head and lots already had an oily face. I didn't use a primer or set it though but I don't need to with good foundations. I also found it to be very orange for my cool tones so it just isn't worth buying again and I did throw it out.

Besides dropping the jar a couple of times, the packaging is okay I just make sure my hands are clean when I dip in! Also I find that i need just a dab on my forehead and cheeks and spread it all over and that's enough, too much won't soak into my skin. It is heavily scented which I could always do without and it burns if I put it on when my face is wet, but if it's dry then I can apply it all over (even by my eyelids, ek, the jar doesn't say not to!). Overall it is a good day cream, =) O and it does work well to use under foundation, although I do wait 20 minutes before applying foundation when I am wearing it, fyi I use Revlon CS.

Eye Shadow -Bonne Bell - eyeshadow

I can't say I won't buy this again because somehow I have two of the cafe classics. I love the brown and I use the white to highlight my brow bone. It goes on smoothly so it's really hard to mess up. I usually use it when I'm in a rush and I'll just use my finger because I'm in that big of a rush on and the brush is sucky but I think I lost it after the first day becuse the case is flimsy and broke so I can't take it anywhere with me. I think after I use it up I will try to find a better eyeshadow in the brown I like so much. I used it in highschool too... maybe I should take that as a hint that it's time to move on in life ? ? Definitely can't apply this to my bare lid I always lay down some foundation on my lids or primer.

So it's a basic eyeliner pencil. I like pencils because i like how I can make it sharp or rounded at the end. It's so inexpensive that I want one of every color, but that's probably not necessary. I have it in Black & Indigo (blue) I love the blue it's sooo nice it's like a neutral. Try indigo if you're getting tired of Black.

Liquid -Revlon - ColorStay Makeup

Price: I buy this from anywhere $15-$20 at Walmart its the least. Use: I used to use it every day and it worked great as I was a waitress and my skin was the last thing I had time to do so I needed something that would stay put. Now I only use it as a concealer on problem areas. I am cool skin tone and Medium Beige blends so well with my skin tone that I don't need anything on top of it when I apply it as concealer. I even use it as an eyeshadow primer and under my eyes and it makes my face look more even. Application: I apply it with Mac 190 brush but if I'm applying it all over if I'm going out I'll use whatever, sponge, brush or fingers. so usually my skin doesn't have a flaking problem because it's so oily. Really this is the ONLY foundation that lasts on my skin because of the oil. Since cleansing using OCM I have become less oily more on the dry side so now I use moisturizer before hand. I like Nivea Aqua sensations day care. Taking this stuff off, another reason I don't wear it every day, it's not the easiest but I do cleanse very well regardless so I never had an issue. If I'm wearing it all over I'll use Clean & Clear make up dissolving foaming cleanser which when I run out of I will have to find a replacement cleanser to keep on hand as it has been discontinued. I use the oil cleansing method after and don't need a toner or moisturizer as this does the job of getting it all off. EVOO is awesome at removing make-up. I can't say I've found a better foundation for the price I'm willing to spend so I would say this is my HG and please do not discontinue it. Most foundations make me break out due to thin, sensitive skin especially any powders (mineral, loose or pressed). This doesn't bother my eye area which is why I use it there and I love that there is a shade for my skin tone depending on the season. *Update* I don't understand why it irritates my skin now. I have 3 bottles of it and I'm scared to use it.. . 3 hours after I apply I get a break out. So I looked up the ingredients and there is alcohol in it. The nasty ones have low molecular weights. These include ethanol, denatured alcohol, ethyl alcohol, methanol, benzyl alcohol, isopropyl alcohol, and sd alcohol, which not only can be extremely drying and irritating to skin, but may be cytotoxic. As for the good guys (with a few caveats) there is cetyl, stearyl, cetearyl. These are known as fatty alcohols, and their effects on the skin are quite different from those of ethyl alcohol. Stearyl alcohol is also derived from coconut oil. Cetearyl alcohol is an emulsifying wax that is used to soften thick formulas like skin ointments. Derived from natural oils and fats, it is very efficient in stabilizing skin care formulationsbecause it imparts an emollient feel to the skin. SO WHY REVLON DO YOU HAVE TO USE SD ALCOHOL. :( This is for the Oily skin formula. Even though they claim its oily free, it is NOT non-comedogenic! I now use the dry/normal skin formula and noticed my skin is generally less oily and this works better and is easier to apply than oily/combination. I wanted to see if the oily/combo foundation could be the cause of the acne so I tried it again big mistake within an hour it was itching my face and I got a blemish near my lower lip which is odd. Now I avoid sd alcohol in all products but haven't seen many :)

Brows -Milani - Easybrow

I went searching for the color that would match my brows. This in dark brown is the closest possible match. It is no fail, especially if you are just using it to fill in the spots, like I am. If I'm going all out I will make my lashes longer and this does a nice job of making it look natural especially if I use the brush end after coloring them in.

This is a very good primer and I find the littlest bit works. On days when I want that extra dark shadow I reach for this as a primer rather than just regular foundation as a primer this will prevent creasing. UPDATE* Still love it, going to buy the full size!

Pressed Powders -Maybelline - Dream Matte Pressed Powder
Stinaxo 9/3/2011 6:05:00 PM
I bought this b/c of the reviews here. Well I don't know about my HG. I returned MUFE HD powder and bought this. It was better than MUFE HD and it was only 14$ compared to 50$ with MUFE in Canada. First noticed that the packaging sucks. Second it did nothing to stop oil and third, (3 is my favorite number), broke me out in a way I have never broke out. Liiitttlle bumps all over my chin, my forehead my nose and there are clogged pores I didn't even know I had, that rise up out of my skin.. very odd but I noticed another review on here and she had similar results. Nothing a mask and BF can't fix but as most things, this is Not for everyone, definitely not for me!
