Conditioner -Aussie - Cleanse and Mend Conditioner
StilettoQueen7 6/9/2012 4:54:00 PM
Another great product. When I first used this I definitely noticed a difference, it left my fine hair soft, smooth, healthy and smelling lovely, and it doesn't weigh it down. I don't notice it making my hair any oilier, probably because I already have oil issues with my fine hair anyways and still have to wash my hair daily no matter what product I use. Used by itself or in conjunction with the Cleanse and Mend Shampoo, it really has made a difference, it moisturizes my constantly colour treated/heat styled hair nicely, and my hair is definitely smoother and healthier and less frizzy because of it. I will be repurchasing when I run out.

Styling Products -Aveda - Phomollient
StilettoQueen7 6/9/2012 4:11:00 AM
I use this for pretty much any way I choose to style my hair - curly or straight - it's a very versatile product. I can't fully explain it, but my hair just always looks better and thicker (I have fine hair) when I use this stuff. I see the best results though when I wear my hair naturally curly/wavy (my hair is kind of nuts). Applied before blow-drying, it gives my roots a bit of a lift, and my curls/waves look less frizzy and more defined. Even if you somehow overapply it, it doen't leave your hair crunchy or gummy by any means, and if you're hair gets messed up during the day you can just re-wet it buy scrunching with wet hands and it will reactivate the product. This is a product I always keep in stock, and will always repurchase - I have two or three containers in my bathroom right now :).

Styling Products -Aveda - Air Control hairspray
StilettoQueen7 6/9/2012 4:00:00 AM
First let me start off my saying this: This helps me skip washing for about 2-3 days. It SERIOUSLY holds off the oil in my roots. AMAZING!! Even if you don't like what it does as a hairspray, just give your roots a good spray immediately after washing and drying your hair and trust me, it will hold off the oil for at least an extra day or two then it normally would (depending on your hair type of course). That aside, I'm honestly surprised this doesn't have a higher rating. This is the only hairspray that does what I want - keep my curls intact. I have fine hair, and when it's shorter, it's curlier, but as it gets longer, it starts to weigh itself down become closer to wavy. The way I use it is this - I lean over to one side, spray one side of my hair from the bottom - the force of the aerosol sprays it upwards and then seals it there - and then lean to the other side, do the same thing. Then I flip my hair over completely, and spray it the same way. The spray is also good for lifting my roots. So basically I just spray it everywhere. All the while I keep scrunching my hair with my fingers as it dries, and it dries pretty quickly. In all, this baby leaves my hair nice and big and voluminous - just the way I like it. And as for the smell? I get so many compliments, FROM MEN, on how much they love it. That's right. I've actually had guy friends come up behind me grab my hair and sniff it, because they legit love it. It's hilarious. It's not by any means a bad smell, but of course it's up to everyone's personal preference. Haha so whenever I go on a date, I'm ALWAYS certain to wear this, and no lie 10/10 times I always get complimented on it. It really is a wonderful ego booster while you're on a date, which for me is always nerve racking no matter what, so it definitely boosts my confidence. So basically what I'm saying is, don't knock it until you've had a guy friend or a boyfriend smell it!! Anyways, that's my two cents. I am halfway through a can right now and have two others in stock, needless to say I will NEVER be without this. HG!!!

Treatments -Joico - K-Pak Intense Hydrator
StilettoQueen7 6/9/2012 3:39:00 AM
After months and months of not really taking care of my hair, this stuff used along with the Reconstructor returned my hair to almost as good as new (considering I have color treated hair, that's pretty freaking awesome) - soft, silky, and fine. After I've shampoo my hair, I get out of the shower, press my hair with a towel until it's just damp, not soaked, then put the Reconstructor in. Get back in the shower, shave my legs or do something else that takes five minutes, then rinse out. Then I repeat the same process, except I put this stuff in, put a mask on my face, then hang out in my room like that for the next hour while I read or something bahahaha. Then rinse out again in the shower, and I put in a nice moisturizing conditioner. It's a bit of a process, but so so worth it, and I really don't care since I love treating myself to this. Plus I only need to that whole thing about it once a month, and use the Hydrator by itself about every two weeks. Also as an aside, after a crazy day of being outside and my long hair is in a mess of tangles, this also works as a great detangler. Just use it in the exact same way, leave it in for an hour and after rinsing and conditioning my hair is a lot easier to comb through. All in all, will definitely repurchase, it's something I will always keep around for general upkeep of my ever changing hair.

Treatments -Clean & Clear - Persagel 5% Benzoyl Peroxide
StilettoQueen7 6/9/2012 3:18:00 AM
Very good product. Significantly reduces zits overnight. For whiteheads I would recommend ripping off the plug gently with your nails - no popping! - and then applying this, so it can penetrate better. If you really need a zit to go away overnight I would recommend first spot treating the zit with lemon juice. HIGHLY effective. Soak up a cotton ball with it and hold it on the zit for about 5 minutes, rewetting every minute or so. Don't use it all over your face, ONLY on the zit. Then after it's dried, apply this stuff. That advice aside, I always have the Persagel in my cabinet for emergencies. Works like a charm!

Toners -Neutrogena - Pore Refining Toner
StilettoQueen7 6/9/2012 3:10:00 AM
Too drying. I have oily/acne prone skin and this dried it up to a point where I started to break out. However, I would recommend this for spot treatments, because with the enormous amount of alcohol in this it really helps with disinfecting and drying up a zit. What I do is rip off the plug of a zit - don't pop - and soak up a cotton ball with this stuff and hold it over the zit for about five minutes, rewetting it with the toner every minute or so. Then after the toner has dried I apply some Clean and Clear Persagel 5 on top (benzoyl peroxide cream). The next day, the zit is significantly reduced. For it's actual purpose though, it's not good for putting all over your face on a daily basis. And seeing as my acne is clearing up due to other fabulous products, I probably won't need this so badly in the future, so I will not be repurchasing once I've finished the bottle.

Conditioner -Aveda - Madder Root Conditioner
StilettoQueen7 6/9/2012 3:01:00 AM
I have bright bright bright red hair, and this stuff really helps maintain it. Let me explain: red dye is the fastest fading dye, even if you do a permanent colour at a professional salon, which is what I did. Fading within two months is inevitable. This stuff holds up the red even as it's fading, so it fades in a nice way, if that makes any sense. I didn't realize the full extent of this until I switched back to a completely run-of-the-mill shampoo and conditioner about a week before my next hair appointment. No color-protection, nothing, and the shampoo had sulfates in it - I had a week left remember so I didn't really mind, and the shampoo and conditioner were really moisturizing so I wanted to use them when I could. My hair went from a nicely held together red to fading pink and orange! It was quite funny actually. That, along with my half-inch light brown roots, and the bottom layer of my hair was another odd shade of orange. In the end my hair was about five different colours, and this conditioner was preventing that from happening for a whole two months. That's pretty darn good in my book. Along with Kevin Murphy Angel Wash Shampoo and Conditioner, I will continue to use this every other day as long as I keep going back to my fabulous red.

Cleansers -Neutrogena - Oil-Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit Facial Cleanser
StilettoQueen7 6/9/2012 2:43:00 AM
Same sentiments as the reviewers below - if you are using it, stop. It causes you to breakout way way more. If I could give it zero lippies, I would. Same results with the orange one. However, if you don't like wasting money and throwing out a full product, here's a tip - I used the rest of it to clean makeup brushes I used for liquid foundation. Seriously, don't let the nice smell fool you - don't let this anywhere near your skin.

Eyeliner -MAC - Technakohl in Photogravure
StilettoQueen7 6/9/2012 2:37:00 AM
This was the first MAC product I ever purchased, and once I used it I was hooked. It was the FIRST, and continues to be the ONLY eyeliner that STAYS PUT. I've used so many others and on my oily skin with my small watery eyes they would be all over my undereye area - ugh. This stuff stays put. Will always have one of these in my makeup bag. And I love the colour. I have very fair pale skin, with blue eyes, and black always looks waaay too harsh on me. This is a nice dark brown, and it contrasts my eyes very nicely. I will never be without this :).

Liquid -Revlon - ColorStay Makeup
StilettoQueen7 6/9/2012 2:30:00 AM
I have this in Ivory, the lightest shade and I use the combination/oily formula. And dear heavens, it ACTUALLY MATCHES MY SKIN TONE. HALLELUJAH!!! I have pale pasty skin, and the lightest shade in every foundation has always been slightly too dark, just enough to bug the heck out of me.This one matches, and it's not too cool, or too warm. The right shade of neutral, for me anyways, and it covers well and evens out my skintone nicely, and dries to a nice matte finish. This foundation is a bit tricky at first, but once I figured out how to use it, I was golden. Other reviewers have said this and I will repeat it: work on one part of your face at a time, and use tiny amounts at a time. It also might be a point of your method of appication, or what type of brush you're using. I use Sephora Professional Platinum Airbrush #56. I put about a nickel or quarter sized amount on the back of my hand, and pick up a little bit of it (NOT all of it) and apply it in patches and layers, and I alternate between buffing and stippling. If you take too much and try to blend it all over your face at once, it will look like a big ucky mess. I start on my jaw line on one side of my face, then the other. Then my cheeks. Those are the places on my face with the most to cover. My forehead and nose are completely clear so I just put a thin layer on those. Then I blend a thin layer from my jaw to my neck. I stipple and buff until it's just right and there are no streak marks. In the end if done properly (it may sound complicated, but it's really not - just use a light hand) it will look good and even. And you gotta give it about 10 minutes to fully dry. I just wore this without powder or anything, and it looked great. And as for it's staying power? I wore this while watching the finale of the second season of Game of Thrones, and there were some scenes where I couldn't help it - I cried. Yes I am a pansy, now lets move on. I was fully expecting to look in the mirror and see those tear stains where you can see your real (and lighter) skintone shining through. There were none! I was SO shocked! My only only ONLY gripe, is I did a photo test with flash and the SPF in this makes me white as a ghost, bahahaha. I won't be taking off any points for that, because if you want to be wearing makeup throughout the day you need all the protection you can get, however if you're going to be going somewhere where you're sure photos with flash will be taken, definitely wear a darker shade, or just get another foundation without SPF in it. But again, it's not losing any points for that. Anyways, I will definitely keep this in my makeup arsenal, and will always repurchase when I run out. Oh, and straight up - my point of reference for how well makeup stays on my face is how much is left after a hot and heavy makeout session with a guy. Scandalous. I am so ready to test drive this baby. After I wear this on my next date I will report back the results to all you fabulous ladies!!! =D
