I'm Asian, Mac nc25. This color was awful. Made me look dead. Way too pale & opaque. Even worse is the fact that it accentuated & settled into every line on my lip. Very drying.
Pressed Powders -MAC - Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Powder (Pressed)
Steph0891 9/5/2011 11:31:00 AM
I bought this because gurus kept mentioning & raving about this. I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. Well I ended up returning it. I have very dry skin & this made my skin feel tight & dry. Didn't make my skin look anymore airbrushed than my Maybelline dream matte pressed powder or my bareminerals mineral veil. Just wasn't wowed by it. For $23 + tax you can just buy any cheap transparent powder & have the same affect. Yes it is transparent but you can still look ashy if you put too much.
Lipstick -Bare Escentuals - Pretty Amazing lipcolor in Free Will

I have to add to the raves & agree, this is pretty amazing. Pigmented & moisturizing. The color on me is a peach nude. I have access to a military base so I was able to get this for $13 no tax at the navy exchange. But I think this retails for $16 + tax. Everyone needs to try this, you won't be disappointed.

Makes the fake lashes last all day & under $4 at target. I got the dark tone but since I'm a beginner I prefer the invisible next time since the dark messes up my eye make up when I mess up & smear it on my lid by accident.
These are 100% human hair & they cost under $4 at target. I bought it because of the rave reviews about it looking natural. With the name & how long & full it looked in the package i should've known better. I guess these would look natural if I had already long lashes. But im Asian & unfortunately have puny tiny lashes. This looked so fake on me. So unnatural looking. I'm sure these would look great & natural on the more blessed out there with naturally long lashes who only need a boost to make their lashes a little thicker. But for anyone w/ puny lashes like myself, go for something else unless you want to obviously look like your wearing fake lashes.
Blush -Tarte - Tarte Glow your way to gorgeous QVC collection
Steph0891 7/29/2011 5:44:00 PM
GREAT kit. i almost passed up on it because i've never really been into tarte before. but started seeing alot of buzz on blogs and certain sites a week before it launched on air for tsv on qvc. heard nothing but raves about it and i have to agree. rave here! my favorite is the concealer. now my hg.went w/ medium and i'm an nc25-30 and it matched perfectly. was about to get light but thank goodness i was warned how light they run. light would work for nc20's and below. lasts all day, doesn't settle into fine lines and hydrating. i do have to set it w/ a powder tho or it looks a little oily if i don't. the mascara is decent, not the best i've ever tried but still great. the blush really lasts. very pigmented. great peachy color. the brushes are so soft and great quality. no shedding. the taupe cream shadow is pretty. i'm sure it's universally flattering since i saw it look great on practically every skin color. the eye liner is my least favorite. too fat. wish it was thinner. great color but i prefer darker liner so i still add a black liquid liner to this set. the fat lip pencil is surprisingly great. thought it would be my least favorite but i ended up loving it. looked sheer on tv but shows on my lips and lasted longer than i thought. the bag is perfect for travel. has slots for the brushes and a zipper for other stuff. comes w/ bonuses...a bronzer and the oil. love the bronzer. doesn't turn orange. the oil is ok. not big on oils anyway. but hey it was free so i'll just use it on my legs and body and see how i like it. overall a great buy. very happy i have it.
Nice, creamy black gel liner. A staple for me. Stays put all day.
This is so pretty. Black w/ gold micro glitters. The glitter doesn't migrate for me. This gel liner lasts all day for me.
Great stiff brush for gel liners. Too stiff for concealer. Too small for shadow application unless you use it for detailing.
This is now my favorite nude polish. Too bad Essie discontinued this but thankfully you can buy this on eBay for under $8. It's opaque after 2 layers. Seems it's a chameleon. I've read many reviews and everybodys describing it differently. On me it's a true light beige nude. No purple or yellow undertones like some described. I'm Asian & my hand is probably an nc30-35. Some says this is a dupe of opi's tickle me francy but I also own that & on me, tickle me francy is darker & more mauve. Great classic polish that matches any outfit. Wish Essie would bring this back so I don't have to worry about eBay ever running out.

works and looks exactly like opi's black shatter. except this is cheaper and in more colors.
Great polish! Only $2 at walmart. Beautiful, pigmented, shimmery silver. Looks just like in the pics!
LOVE this liner. just rediscovered it in my stash. so black and so easy to give you a smoky look. blackest of liners i own. i've been using it everyday lately. stays on all day for me as long as a smudge it. i've even napped w/ it and it didn't budge. not worth the price on ebay...so hopefully mac brings this out again or at least make it permanent.
Styling Products -TRESemme - TRESemmé's Fresh Start Refreshing Mist
Steph0891 10/11/2010 11:31:00 PM
love this hair fragrance. can't live w/ out this or else i would hate to cook after showering! i hate how cooking at home leaves yucky food scents lingering on my skin and hair. w/ this i just spray it on and it makes my hair smell so fresh as if i just shampooed and makes the food smell disappear. i happen to love the smell...smells like shampoo to me. great stuff if you like to cook and hate the smell it leaves your hair. my friend who smokes uses this on her hair too and she loves it. great stuff...too bad so many bad reviews. paid under $5 at walmart.
Styling Products -TRESemme - Fresh Start Dry Shampoo for Oily/Straight to Normal Hair

i too am surprised how much negative reviews this received. this stuff is awesome. i don't like to wash my hair everyday...i have such thick, dry hair and would hate to damage it anymore than i've already done w/ all the colorings i've done to it. i wash my hair every other day and this gave my hair more body and looked less greasy. i did a youtube search on a tutorial and found that the best way is to spray it on top only where it gets a little greasy at the roots. i leave it on for a minute or two. fyi it does spray on gray or white...but it's very easy to comb out. way easier than baby powder. really great stuff. i hope they never discontinue this. i did get the spray one. i heard the mousse one is a little more difficult to use since it makes your hair a little wet and you still have to let it dry. great price too...just under $5 at walmart.
