Eye Makeup Remover -Maybelline - Flash Clean Clean Express Makeup Removing Lotion
SteamyCouture 3/13/2013 11:03:00 PM
Just want to say this product is not liquids, it has a bath and body works lotion consist antsy. Not sure if the person below got a defect. Works great. I smear it over my eyes, then follow it up with a baby wipe.... And my eye makeup is all gone. No harsh scrubbing with other makeup removers.

Foundations -Cover Girl - Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 Foundation
SteamyCouture 3/8/2013 12:05:00 PM
My biggest fears when I try a new foundation is that the product will oxidize or wear off. My skin is so oily, that within an hour a Matt foundation will look dewy. When I go to take my makeup off at night with a baby wipe, even long wearing foundations such as makeup forever Matt velvet and revlon color stay, would not show up on the cloth. The only foundations that have are Estée Lauder double wear light and now cover girl stay fab foundation. MUFE Matt foundation did not stay on me, so this is not a dupe for that in my opinion. This product stays a powder Matt finish, but my oils still show through but doesn't change the finish of the foundation for me... Which Was unheard of for me till now. A little bloting and the oil goes away but my foundation stays. I'm still in the early stage of trying the product out... But my go-to foundation EL DWL may have been outstaged. Sorry is there is a lot of typos, wrote this on my iPad mini and not use to it yet.

Shampoo -Redken - Color Extend Shampoo
SteamyCouture 7/1/2012 9:06:00 PM
I only used it once, I couldn't decide which Redken shampoo to get. I already have tried most of them with so-so results. My plan was to switch this between K-Pak reconstruct shampoo every other shampoo. I don't use the matching conditioner from color extend line, I use the color treated reconstruct from joico. After one use my hair is... BIG. I have fine hair, but I have a lot of it. First time i've seen it this voluminous in a long time... I love it. And my hair was soft! The truth is, as long as you have a good conditioner, it doesn't matter what shampoo it is. My hair is color treated though so I always make sure I get a higher end shampoo due to they use less sulfate compared to drugstore. Drugstore shampoos have always caused build up on my hair, and stripped my color. I'll update in a couple of weeks....

Shampoo -Joico - K-Pak Reconstruct Shampoo for Dry or Damaged Hair
SteamyCouture 6/28/2012 11:46:00 PM
For the past few months i've been obsessed with drug store hair products, which was a very unusual stage for me. During that strange period I had blonde highlights. Recently decided to go back to a dark blonde/light brown color, and I noticed the cheap shampoo was not my friend anymore. Color was fading, not only that but it was fading to a strange color. My hair felt unmanageable too. Decided to go to Ulta, Couldn't decide weather to get the one for color treated hair or regular. Decided to go with the regular because it said color safe on the back because It was the known classic (didn't do research before I left). When I first used it, didn't do anything. My hair felt crunchy and tangled. However, I continued to use it. I say that it get way better the more you use it. I'm on my fifth day, and my hair looks great. Plus the strange color the cheap shampoo was pulling went away. I think it was this shampoo that helped it.

Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express The Mega Plush
SteamyCouture 5/26/2012 11:17:00 PM
The non-waterproof formula is the best. It lengthens, doesn't flake, lashes are soft + weightless, and gives a subtle amount of volume. Great for us girls who prefer more of a natural look. The formula get each lash. Brush is my favorite part. Never seen a brush on the market that looks that way.

Mascara -Cover Girl - Cover Girl Professional Mascara (washable)
SteamyCouture 5/20/2012 8:55:00 PM
This product has been on the market for YEARS. My mom told me it was the "lash blast" of her generation. If it's been on the market for that long, I knew it had to be something worth trying. Its just a basic mascara. The finish is matte, which can make your lashes look fake. However, no flaking and no smudging occurred. This is a huge thing, because the new mascaras on the market ALWAYS flake and smudge. Not a good combination for someone who has oily skin. Mascara gives me length and volume.

Shampoo -TiGi - Bed Head Dumb Blonde Shampoo
SteamyCouture 5/1/2012 12:42:00 AM
This is a review for the OLD dumb blonde formula (the one with the purple/pinkish bottle) Love this shampoo, slowly takes away brassy tones in blonde hair and repaired my hair. Used this in high school.

Shampoo -L'Oreal - EverCreme Intense Nourishing
SteamyCouture 4/20/2012 9:25:00 PM
Honestly, I was excited to try this, but dissapointed. I should have reached for the regular nourishing shampoo. This shampoo was just too heavy for my hair, which is a strange thing to say about shampoo. My hair felt gross and greasy all day long after it dried (only one use, and trust me I washed it out very well). Another shampoo to add to my pile to give away.

Shampoo -L'Oreal - EverPure Volume Shampoo
SteamyCouture 1/23/2012 11:43:00 AM
I just want to let everyone know the person that said it was not sulfate free doesn't know what shes talking about. Laurel Sulfate is the only real sulfate in a shampoo. Sulffocante is sodium. She didn't do her homework.

Treatments -Redken - Extreme Strength Builder Plus
SteamyCouture 1/19/2012 10:55:00 PM
I fried one section of my hair this past summer with a curling iron (left it on my hair to long because I was talking on the phone and didn't realize that I left it on too long, stupid me). The rest of my hair is completely healthy. That one little area of my hair was disgusting after that point and I went crazy. Because the rest of my hair was so healthy looking, it stood out so bad. For months I would try things to reverse it.... nothing worked. It slowly got better within time, mostly because some of it was chopped off during a hair cut session. Was at the mall and on a whim I bought this. I've used this three times so far, and I can already see a big difference. For the first time it's soft and not haystack feeling. Godsend.

Crème -L'Oreal - magic smooth souffle
SteamyCouture 8/30/2011 2:38:00 AM
Stray away if you have dry skin. But this product is a godsend for oily skin because its a dry formula. Stayed on for hours. Made my skin look flawless. I used a stipple brush to apply.

Self Tanners -ModelCo - Tan Airbrush In A Can
SteamyCouture 5/17/2011 8:07:00 AM
I've tried the ModelCo Tan Moose and LOVED it. I thought I should try all ModelCo's products. BAD IDEA. The spray needs to be held far away. You need someone else to do the spraying unless you want to be like me who ended up spraying then rubbing. The spray emited through the air and left my bathroom legit dark brown green. I was very careful to not get it on anything too. That means that the bottom of my feet look like muds on them now, PLUS I have to wash my bathroom. The worst part of ALL: The can is now empty after one use! $17... not worth it. The tan looks good on me, but the trouble I went through to only get one tan out of it is not. Don't recommend EVER. Try the tan moose, it rocks.

Top/Base Coats -OPI - Top Coat
SteamyCouture 3/11/2011 1:30:00 AM
My god, I have a love hate relationship with this top coat. It gives me an amazing shine and it sports a OPI brand. However, I feel like it wears off easily. Whenever I paint my nails, which is rather often, I always get air bubbles and I use a variety of brands. I truely believe its because of this because its the only consistant thing I use.

Polishes -Wet 'n' Wild - FastDry - Silvivor
SteamyCouture 3/5/2011 5:28:00 PM
This dried very quick. Most drugstore nailpolishes that say they dry fast do, but remain tacky and are easy to mess up. This one drys completely within 15 min., 4 minutes to the touch. I don't own anything like this, it has a very foil look to it when it drys. It only took me two coats, and it didn't streak. I reccomend to anyone who likes the look of minx nails. It looks like liquid metal.

Liquid -Almay - Nearly Naked LIQUID foundation
SteamyCouture 1/28/2011 1:11:00 AM
I hate wearing full coverage makeup. This is a step-up from a tinted moisturizer, which is perfect for me. It blends good, and gives me a nice natural dewy glow. I have oily skin, and I do have to touch up during the middle of the day. Overall, lovely product. Product is not runny, so it's hard to get product out. Wish it had a pump.
