Cleansers -St. Ives - Naturally Clear Green Tea Cleanser
StardustSteph 5/28/2010 11:57:00 PM
I am so glad I found this cleanser! In the warmer months my skin becomes very oily. I also have sensitive skin, redness in my cheeks, and I'm prone to breakouts on my chin. I had tried other cleansers and I had issues with the scent of them. I found this smell of this cleanser to be great. It smells exactly like tea. It isn't too strong it's gentle and pleasant. I have been using this daily for 3 weeks now and I've noticed a great improvement in my skin. The redness has reduced and I haven't had a single blemish on my chin in a week and half. This leaves your skin feeling tight and refreshed. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone with dry skin because this would be too drying for you, but for oily to combo I think this is great. I definitely recommend to give this a try!
Lipstick -Revlon - Renewist Lip Color [DISCONTINUED]
StardustSteph 4/7/2010 6:31:00 PM
I found "Full Blush" Revlon Renewist lipstick in the clearance section at Target. This has quickly become one of my favorite lipsticks. It is so moisturizing! It feels creamy and smooth. The color is medium-dark mauvey rose. It is a flattering pink that is in rich in color but is very wearable for day or night. This is a great lipstick that I definitely recommend.
Mascara -Almay - Intense i-color w/ Light Interplay Technology
StardustSteph 4/7/2010 6:25:00 PM
I can't vouch for the price, because I won this in a giveaway, but this has become my new HG mascara next to Maybelline Full & Soft. I have never been impressed with Almay mascaras at all but this hit the jackpot in many ways. I got this in Black Flash, now as far as it enhancing eye color I don't think it does that. I haven't found a mascara that claims that and actually delivers. However in every other way this mascara is amazing. It is volumizing and lengthening without clumping or smudging and I'm overall very pleased. My lashes look thick, full, and long. I definitely recommend it. Regardless that I won it in a giveaway I will repurchase.
Lipstick -L'Oreal - Colur Riche Star Secrets - 706 Champagne Laetitia
StardustSteph 4/7/2010 6:12:00 PM
I like having this lipstick in my stash. It isn't my HG by all means, but it is one I use a few times am month. I wasn't a lipstick wearer, but in the past year I started getting into lipsticks. I think Laetitia's Champagne is great lipstick for those who are on the fence about lipsticks. It's not heavy or cakey on your lips at all. It's a nice light-medium shade of shimmery (not glittery) pink. It doesn't look like you're wearing a lipstick, it comes off looking more like a gloss, but with longer wear and not sticky. I'm fair-light and I don't find this shade too light at all. It's a great go to lipstick when I'm looking for a hint color and shimmer that is long lasting.
I recently started my search for dry shampoo. I started out trying the new Tresemme one and was extremely disappointed. I then turned to Batiste. This worked great for me. I try avoid washing my hair daily because I have dry ends but suffer from oily roots. This soaked up the oil well and left my hair looking clean, soft, and silky. I definitely recommend it.
I found "Rich" Liptonic Gem Gloss at Dollar Tree the other day. This is a great sparkly gloss for $1. I'd say it is closest to MAC Dazzleglass "Extra Amps". The sparkle is less prominent than in Dazzleglass, but overall it is a great dupe. I actually prefer the texture of the Sally Hansen gloss. It isn't sticky and feels smooth unlike MAC Dazzleglass. Plus, I got it for only $1 compared to $18!
This dry shampoo is dreadful. My hair can get oily quickly and I try to avoid washing my hair everyday to avoid it become too dry. I purchased this in hopes it would remove the oil from my hair so I could go out into the day knowing my hair looked clean. This did the opposite I tried it multiple times. I tried using less and more and the end result was my hair ended up looking more greasy than it was in the first place. The smell was awful, it kind of reminded me of teriyaki sauce though I love the way that tastes I don't want my hair smelling like it! I'm sticking with Batiste.
My mother gave me this to use when I was little girl when I'd have dry chapped lips due to cold weather or after having cold and it has never failed me. I always have loved this lip ointment. Sure it's not some cute chapstick and it comes in ointment form, but it works great. It soothes your lips on contact and can heal chapped raw lips with in a day or so. I stock up on this stuff and I will never stop using it!
Mascara -L'Oreal - Double Extend Beauty Tubes Mascara in Black
StardustSteph 11/21/2009 7:10:00 PM
This is my all time favorite mascara right now. It gives me incredible length and definition. I look like I'm wearing false lashes when I wear this mascara. I find the formula perfect not to liquidy nor too thick. It goes on smooth and looks natural. I recommend people at least give this a try it really gives your lashes an amazing look.
This is a sheer pink gloss with beautiful pink micro glitter. I find this a great alternative to MAC Dazzleglass especially considering you are only paying around $4.50 vs. $18. I would definitely suggest wearing this over another lip gloss or lipstick since it is very sheer on its own. The formula is nice and it has a pleasant scent to it. I'd recommend this for anyone looking for extra sparkle in a lip gloss without having to pay a hefty price.
I got this in the Glitz and Glam Sampler from Sephora. At first glance this did not appeal to me, but when I put it on it looked beautiful. This blush has a colorful swirl of brown, bronze, light pink, and mauve. It gives your skin a beautiful bronze glow. I think it would compliment various skintones. It has a beautiful finish and nice soft and smooth feel to it. I recommend that you give it a try!
Lip Gloss -Sephora - Brilliant Shine Lip Gloss in Desert Gold
StardustSteph 11/21/2009 6:41:00 PM
I also go this gloss in the Glitz & Glam Shimmer and Shine Deluxe Sampler. This is a beautiful pink/bronze/nude shade gloss with pink and gold micro glitter. It is GORGEOUS. I am in love with this gloss. It looks great on on its own or on top of a lipstick for an extra spark. The formula is smooth and silky. I highly recommend this gloss for any makeup collection. It is a must have! This is my first time using Sephora gloss. I will definitely will be looking into getting some more.
Milani polishes are for you if you're looking for wide color selection for a great price. Milani polishes are easily the 2nd most polishes I have from one brand behind China Glaze. They have a GREAT color assortment. You can find every shade under the rainbow not just your standard reds, pinks, corals, and purples. I find their formula great, long lasting, and all colors I have tired go opaque within 2 coats. I definitely recommend Milani polishes to anyone.
This is one of my favorite nail polish colors. It's a med fuchsia pink with a pink shimmer. I found the formula good, it required 3 coats to become opaque but it is worth the extra work for the great color. It's a great color for any season. The only complaint I have as I do with all Sinful Color polishes is the name is really random and makes no sense.
I am so disappointed in this product. I am usually a fan of L'Oreal mascaras. I love the original telescopic so I thought this would be great. I found the formula of this to be too thick and wet. It clumped like crazy on my lashes and caused them to stick together. Perhaps, I am not used to the brush and need to try again but my first impression isn't a good one.
