Eyeliner -Unlisted Brand - Michael Marcus Eyeliner

I got this liner in "Plum" in my LBB and it's probably worse than the liners I've bought at the Dollar Tree as a kid. The liner is a weird brown color, crumbles but is very hard and painful to put on, and consists of cheap ingredients like mineral oil. Not really sure why it's listed at a $20 price as I wouldn't even pay $0.99 for it. I wish I didn't trade my bodywash for it because this stuff is complete garbage. I tried running it under flames to soften it and it helps for a couple of minutes but then it goes back to being hard and not depositing any color whatsoever. Would not recommend.

Highlighters -BeneFit Cosmetics - High Beam
rated 4 of 5
Sta1cee 10/6/2012 6:51:00 PM

I've never incorporated a highlighter into my makeup routine before since everything I tried was too shimmery for my liking. Now, I feel incomplete unless I have High Beam on. I heard about High Beam for such a long time (who hasn't) but the price tag kept me away from making the purchase. Well, while shopping at Sephora, I found Full Glam Ahead! kit for $12. It has travel-sized High Beam, Stay Don't Stray, and BadGal Lash Mascara. Bought it and couldn't be happier. High Beam is a perfect pinkish high lighter that doesn't look like you put glitter all over yourself and adds gentle radiance to your face. It's easy to apply and is very blendable. You only need to use a small amount so the travel size will last a good full year...if not more. The only thing I don't like about this product is the price. I think it's far too steep, especially if you consider the fact that there are dupes out there and other great high lighters for a much smaller price. So I would recommend trying this product in a kit but I don't think the price for a full-sized product is justified unless cost is not an issue for you.

Eyeliner -Urban Decay - 24-7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Zero
rated 3 of 5
Sta1cee 8/9/2012 9:02:00 PM

I don't use eyeliner very often so I would never pay $19 for one. However, Sephora had a set of 5 UD eyeliners on sale for $19 so I decided to try them out. While this is not a miracle liner, it is the best out of all the ones that I've tried. It is very black, very pigmented, and goes on smoothly. I found that it lasts me good 16 hours on my upper lids (longest I've tried to wear it). It is also one of the few liners that doesn't irritate my eyes or cause my eyelashes to fall out. Unfortunately, it smudges terribly on my lower lash line and is awful for the waterline. Overall, I can't imagine running out of this liner anytime soon and when I do, I'll probably just try something cheaper unless UD comes out with another affordable set.

Liquid -Estee Lauder - Double Wear Light SPF10
rated 1 of 5
Sta1cee 8/3/2012 6:47:00 PM

I should've tried this at the store before ordering. I read many reviews that this has pinkish undertone and that's what I was looking for. Unfortunately, I didn't see the pink undertones when I applied this on. Even out of the bottle, it has an orangish color. Very disappointing. At first, the makeup looked flawless on me despite the color mismatch. But when I checked my skin after 2 hours of work, I was annoyed. This settled into my pores, lines, and managed to bunch up at my temples...kind of like Revlon's Colorstay does on me. For the price, I expected a bit more. This $36 foundation works like something I can buy for $10 at drugstore. Also, I noticed some people saying it's unscented. Mine was quite fragrant. Perhaps they changed the formula but I have yet to find an unfragranced Estee Lauder product. Overall, this is the first foundation I'll be returning. Complete disappointment all around.

Blush -Everyday Minerals - Ambrosia
rated 4 of 5
Sta1cee 8/3/2012 3:57:00 AM

I surprisingly like this blush although, like the previous reviewer has mentioned, it's not a soft pink but rather a dark melon. I'm fair so I have to apply it very sparingly since it's so pigmented. However, I really like the color it provides. The only con is that this blush fades after a few hours. Then again, I have yet to find a blush that doesn't.

Loose Powders -Everyday Minerals - Finishing Dust
rated 5 of 5
Sta1cee 8/3/2012 3:48:00 AM

I got a sample of this and wasn't really eager to try it since I just bought Estee Lauder's Lucidity powder and wasn't looking for anything new. Well, dang...this stuff is amazing! It creates a flawless finish, is truly transluscent, and is the first powder that managed to keep my skin look oil-free for 2+ hours (I'm an oily mess and have to blot every hour during summer). When I reapplied it to control shine, it didn't look cakey like many other powders tend to do. No oxidation...no irritation...no nothing. Just flawless skin. Definitely will be ordering full size. Sorry Estee :(

Foundations -Everyday Minerals - Jojoba Base
rated 5 of 5
Sta1cee 8/3/2012 3:42:00 AM

I avoided mineral foundation like fire after Bare Minerals ruined my skin (very sensitive to Bismuth Oxychloride) and every other foundation I tried failed to provide me with the coverage I needed. But I heard good things about Everyday Minerals and decided to try their "free" samples. Out of all the bases I ordered, this one is my favorite. It provides good coverage and makes my skin look flawless. I'm NW15 and "Shell" matched me well. So far, no irritation or breakouts. Definitely will consider buying the full-size version.

BB Cream -Unlisted Brand - Elisha Coy - Always Nuddy BB Cream
rated 3 of 5
Sta1cee 8/1/2012 8:41:00 PM

I finally got a sample of this BB cream. It goes on much like any other Asian BB but without that gray cast. I feel like it's a perfect choice for those with really light skin. And I like the texture so much more than Skin79's. That being said, this doesn't last very long on me either. It fades away after about 2 hours. At $30 a bottle, it's definitely not worth the price...especially since I still can't find the full list of ingredients for this product. Overall, it's a nice Asian BB cream but I feel like there are better products out there.

Pressed Powders -Estee Lauder - Lucidity Translucent Pressed Powder
rated 4 of 5
Sta1cee 8/1/2012 7:53:00 PM

This is an average powder. It's neither amazing nor terrible. I only bought it because at $12 a refill, it's quite affordable and I really wanted an Estee Lauder collectible compact. PROS ~Doesn't oxidize ~Goes on smooth ~Doesn't look cakey ~Good for blotting ~Smell isn't that strong CONS ~No lucid effect...quite average Overall, I will probably keep buying this powder until I find something better. It's good setting and blotting powder but it doesn't control shine or any of that stuff.

Concealers -MAC - Pro Longwear concealer
rated 3 of 5
Sta1cee 7/31/2012 1:11:00 AM

I've tried many different concealers and decided to try this one after a girl used it on me at the wedding and made my skin look absolutely flawless. This is a good concealer but it's not great. It is great for undereye circles (doesn't look cakey) and is good at covering blemishes when stippled on with a concealer brush. That's where the good characteristics end. In hot weather, this concealer fades in about an hour. It fades away faster if I have to blot my skin. That's incredibly annoying as I paid $17 for this stuff and I wish I didn't have to constantly reapply it. This also settles into my lines and pores creating a texture different from what my foundation does. So you can tell where I'm wearing concealer and where I'm not. And finally, I think this stuff breaks me out as I seem to get zits only in places where I usually put the concealer. So, while this is probably one of the better concealers I've tried thus far, it doesn't really perform up to the expectations for me and my oily skin. PROS ~Great color selection (although oxidizes a bit) ~Goes on smooth ~Easy to blend CONS ~Doesn't last long ~Settles into lines and pores ~Comedogenic

BB Cream -Skin79 - Super+ BB Cream Pink Label
rated 3 of 5
Sta1cee 7/29/2012 2:17:00 AM

I ordered this on eBay and probably should've done my research about all the fake products out there. This BB goes on smooth, blends with my NW15 skintone SO well, and looks SO good. However, I got giant zits after wearing this for a week and I'm beginning to wonder (or at least I'm hoping) that I got a fake product and the real deal won't break me out. I'll be purchasing this cream directly from Skin79 and I'll review it again. For those of you buying off Amazon or eBay, just beware that there are a lot of knockoffs of this product and it can do more harm than good to your skin. P.S. I used my normal cleansing routine to take this BB cream off. Never had problems before. But when I was doing a peel after washing my face, I was shocked by how much product was left on my face. This stuff is REALLY hard to get off. Again, hoping it's a fake but now I'm not sure if I want to waste more of my money.

Eyeliner -Urban Decay - 24-7 Travel Set of Five Naked
rated 5 of 5
Sta1cee 7/28/2012 5:14:00 AM

Got this at Sephora for $19. Wasn't really expecting much since all the eyeliners I've tried before have been less than stellar. These eyeliners are gorgeous...very pigmented and apply very smoothly. The color stays put quite well...even with my oily lids. The only cons is that you can't really use this on the waterline and it did smear when I used it under my bottom lashes after a couple of hours.

Mascara -Flirt - Big Flirt Thickening Mascara
rated 5 of 5
Sta1cee 7/19/2012 6:29:00 PM

This came in a kit that cost me $5.60. I didn't expect much out of this mascara but was surprised at how well it works. It gives clump-free black lashes that appear thick and fanned out. It does take a while to dry but once it did, I had no problems with smudging or flaking. It was also easily removed with some warm water and soap. I would definitely buy again if I see it on clearance again. It's a nice, hassle-free mascara.

Powder -Revlon - ColorStay Pressed powder
rated 2 of 5
Sta1cee 7/19/2012 1:19:00 AM

I'm searching for a good powder and decided to try this one out after reading good reviews on a different site. Mine doesn't come with Softflex. In fact, I don't think any of the stores I've been to carry this powder with Softflex. So perhaps that's the problem. Now...the review... This powder is average as many have stated before. I do like that "Light" matches my NW15 skintone. Many powders are too yellow for me but this one is unnoticeable. I apply it with a kabuki brush and then pat it on my T-zone. It doesn't appear to be cakey whatsoever. I noticed that the package says this stays on for 16-hours. I think they meant to say 1.6 hours because it almost reached the 2-hour mark...but not quite. I might as well have not been wearing powder. My face looked just as oily without it. Another thing is that the package says "Talc-free" but the first listed ingredient is...wait for it...talc. Overall, I feel like Revlon blew it with this one. I don't even think they tried to put out a good product and simply made half-hearted fallacious claims. So... PROS ~Good for light skin ~Not cakey CONS ~Fake claims ~Doesn't control oil ~Needs to be reapplied constantly

Scrubs -Murad - AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser
rated 5 of 5
Sta1cee 7/18/2012 2:30:00 AM

I got a 1 oz sample of this and am really impressed. For an exfoliator, it does just that...exfoliates your skin. It's not going to make your scars disappear or your skin turn into a unicorn baby but it does help scrub off the dead skin, get rid of the clogged pores, and make your skin glow. Unlike other exfoliators I've used in the past, it didn't dry out my skin or irritate it. Overall, I really like this product and once I ran out, I'll definitely consider repurchasing. Since it's a scrub, I only use it 2-3 times a week so it looks like it's going to last me a long time. As far as people complaining about clogged pores...make sure you use a good noncomedogenic moisturizer after exfoliating. It should help your skin out a bit.
