I've used this for 4 days and I'm very pleased with it. I was nervous to spend 36$ on a liquid foundation. It's the most expensive I've never purchased. Like the previous writer wrote it has a great finish and I loveeee the pump. I'm a germ-a-phobe. I used to use Clinque super balanced but I felt greasy within a few hours. I am pretty fair I also use tarte amazonian clay and this in blush medium . Together that is my current color as summer tan fades. This product is buildable. I'm a nurse and work 12hr shifts. I wear makeup to work which means I literally wear this 14-16 hours. I'd honestly say with my new moisturizer (10.0.6 shine free) I don't get oily/ requiring blotting my face for 8 hours. That would suffice for most working adults. clean feelings sunscreen a pump clean application I'm very pleased thus far! I'll update as I continue wearing. I debating on getting the light.
I was a huge fan of Bare Escentuals Volumizing mascara but for 18$ and change it was too much. I've been wearing this for over 3 months now and I'd have to say I'm converted. The packaging is easy and the wand brush is almost as big as BE. It is tapered at the end but width of the brush is close to BE. With a little maneuvering of the wand I can get the same look for half the cost. If this tube can last me 6 months like my BE would then I'd give it a five!
Lipstick -Revlon - ColorBurst in 070 Soft Nude [DISCONTINUED]

I know nude lips are a fad and this looks ok with gloss over it. I'm pretty fair and nude lips are definitely not my best look. I bought this after seeing a youtube video of "how to" nude lips. I have to admit the plastic "soft nude" actually matches the lip color. The packaging is classy and easy to use twist tube.
Great over lipstick. I've used this since high school or the older version. I never wear it alone but it adds a little shine...I used it as a "lip plumper" before there were lip plumpers. If you put a little in the peak of top lip an center of bottom lip it creates a plumping effect. I saw benefit has a new lip gloss that is a similar color (but a lot more $$). This is great smelling (tasting ooops!) and doesn't break the bank. I'm a Bonne Bell fan for life.
Mascara -Bare Escentuals - Flawless Definition Volumizing mascara

After years of cheap mascara I've found the best mascara for daily use. I received this as a sample and when it ran out I went back to a drug store silicon brush. I didn't care for what they did. There was no difference from my bare lashes. I have been blessed with long eyelashes and this mascara is a beauty essential. It is double what used to pay for but I use less than I used it. ***the only BareMinerals/BareEscentuals product I'll ever repurchase.
I use this as a primer for my makeup. I read about it on Ulta's website and I was convinced. Buying this almost gave me a stroke. It is very expensive but the packaging allows you to squeeze out just a little. I use it on my T-zones and really blend it in. You have to let it absorb for a few minutes. Then it works it's magic! I don't wear it everyday so I can't comment on the effectiveness of breakouts. I use it under moisturizer. It contains Salicyclic Acid which is intended to prevent breakouts. It feels smooth and makes my makeup look more even. I've used Smashbox primer in the past...this looks and feels like silicone but it apparently isn't. I noticed in the ingredients that it contains niacinamide - I studied nutrition and niacin (B3) causes flushing. It is often taken for holistic cholesterol control. I obviously don't ingest this, but my face looked flushed after I put this on and then it goes away once it is absorbed/dried. I know rubbing your face may make a fair skinned person look pink but I really look flushed (like after running). I am curious if it is the niacin in the product. If I don't find a cheaper product I'd probably buy this again.
I love this is a primer but I actually meant to buy the original Shadow Insurance. The shimmer is a little much for everyday but if you blend it well it is not very noticeable. I can't believe I went years without wearing a primer...it holds shadow pigment much better. You can make a much more dramatic look or hold shadows for much longer. I think the tube will last me a long time. The small tip allows you to get just the right amount (for me is smaller than a pea). Next time, I'll buy the original!
I can't bring myself to buy expensive blushes when companies like Rimmel make great blushes. This is my everyday blush. Since I live in MI my skin tones change a little with the seasons. I think this looks great on me in the winter and in the summer. It really is a "flushed" looked. You can wear it with bronzer to create a pink cheeks and a little contouring. I think "I'm blushing cheeks" are classic and this certainly doesn't break the bank. The brush that came with it is cheap which is ok. I'd still buy it again!
Biggest waste of $11.99 which is expensive for a drugstore product/cheap side of Ulta product. 1) It has sparkles in it. 2) The "compact" as the powder comes is very brittle. Every brush I've tried I get way too much powder. I've tried my kabuki brush and a fan brush ( I use paint brushes from Michaels as make up brushes). It flakes away when you use a brush. 3) When you apply it you end up with sparkles everywhere. I noticed it it washes my complexion out. It appears as if I have spread chalk dust on my face. 4) The last straw was when one of my classmates asked me if I was ill and I wasn't.
Rarely have I ever bought a palette that I can use all of the eye shadows. Before I stated using shadow insurance (Too Faced) the shadows would definitely wear off in 4-6hrs. The primer really picks up the pigment of the shadows. Two of the lip gloss colors work well with my skin tone and are appropriate for day time. One is way too bubble gum pink and the purple one is more evening time. They're a little sticky but are an easy addition when I feel like wearing lip gloss. The blush is a very flattering color almost a rose with gold sparkle. The sparkle is very subtle. The whole palette has eyes, lips, cheek that you would need for getting ready.
I was originally interested in Eves Pearls but I can't bring myself to spend 50$ on something I can't try before buying. The "salmon" tone to the concealer really makes a difference. My fiance even noticed ...he thought I'd put dark make up under the eye that wasn't concealed! Like other posts I wish it was in a pump or a tube. I wouldn't have any excess on the mini spatula. I don't really care for it. I had the Benefit sales woman apply it at Ulta. I bought it and worn it only one day...but a little goes a long way. It did set into a few fine lines but I think I can improve my blending. I'm more thrilled with the color than anything. Many under eye concealers are too yellow, chalky, or give you white raccoon eyes in pictures. I have a feeling this will last me a really long time... update: It made its way to the bottom of the makeup bag. Over priced and too thick. It photographed beautifully for my wedding photos but it is too heavy for daily wear. I moved to a warmer climate and it creased easily even with primer. Great color but I still loathe sticking my fingers in a pot to apply make up.
This eye shadow reminds me of a loose MAC shimmer but much cheaper! I swear it has similar pigment and is finely milled like it too. The packaging is inconvenient and messy. If you're careful you can knock a little in the lid and use a small brush to apply to your lid or cheekbone. I'm in my mid-20's so occasionally I'd like a little shimmer.
