Lip Treatments -MAC - Tendertone Lip Balm SPF 12 - Honey Bare
Sophia17 1/10/2010 5:33:00 PM
Why ohhh why I didn't buy a back up when I could??? Instead I bought 2 other Tendertones while I rarely use. It's the perfect light apricot - peachy shade of a lip balm with lovely gold shimmers ( that are not very noticable). Mac really needs to repromote it. The perfect lip balm for the summer, and it compliments perfectly light peachy lipsticks under or on top of them, like Mac's Pleasureseeker or Mac's Shy Girl.

Blush -MAC - sunbasque
Sophia17 1/10/2010 5:28:00 PM
It's the blush that made me change my No1 HG blush from Mac Peaches to this. When I first used it it was the time I knew that I love bronze peachy shades more than the straight peachy ones. For the past year I was using only this one, and I own more than 25 blushes! Perfect pigmentation, with lovely gold and silver shimmers, compliments a bronzer perfectly, the go for shade of summer period, and perfect for any warm toned skin. I can't say more about how much I love it! I just do!

Blush -MAC - Mineralize Blush - Nuance
Sophia17 1/10/2010 5:22:00 PM
Nuance it's been on of my HG blushes for almost 2 years, actually my 2nd favourite since the 1st is Mac's Sunbasque. I alternate between these 2 a lot, and it's a perfect bronze peachy shade with a soft gold sheen ( the MSF kind of sheen). The only thing I don't like abou is that I need to apply a lot in order to show up, it's a problem that I don't have with Sunbasque, but I do love the gold sheen it leaves on my cheeks. Perfect shade for any NC20 to NC30 skintones.

Blush -MAC - Mineralize Blush - Pleasantry
Sophia17 1/10/2010 5:17:00 PM
Pleasantry was an impulse purchase for me since I never wear pink blushes, especialy bright ones, but I guess I fell fr the whole LE factor. I bought it along with Nuance which is one of my HGs, I've worn Pleasantry only 3 or 4 times, only because I rarely wear pink blush. But i have to say the pigmentation and the texture is superior, while Nuance's are not that great. I only need to apply it once while all the other blushes I own I seriously need to brush more than 3 or 4 times.

Highlighters -Christian Dior - Skinflash
Sophia17 1/10/2010 12:10:00 PM
Not one of my favourite concealers, even though it's not a concealer exactly. I thought it would be a better version of YSL's Touch Eclat which was only a highlighter , I though it would be the same highlighter like YSL's plus it would cover more, but it faled to both. Definetely not a better highlighter than YSL's and didn't cover anything. I have brownish dark circles both under eye on on my eyelids, pretty much since the day I was born, I got the #2 shade which has a yellowish tint, and actually made my circles look kind of weird, the yellow was visible ad made me look sick. Plus I hate so much the perfume, lind of powdery and the texure was powdery too. Certaintly I'm never gonna repurchase it, especially after I found my HG cocnealer, Bobbi Brown's Light peach corrector.

Eyeliner -MAC - Technakohl in Graphblack
Sophia17 1/10/2010 12:01:00 PM
What a crappy eye pencil. It claims that is long lasting, and that's such a lie, I know I don't expect miracles from a pencil but even Mac Khols are more long lasting than this one, plus on me it turns to a dark navy blue, ad I seriously hate that when it happens with black pencils. Clinique's Quickliner in Super Black did that too, UD Zero pencil has a tint of blue but I don'thave the problems I have with Graphblack, and Mac's Smolder is the blackest of all, but UD Zero is more long lasting. I just wanted to do a comparison between Graphblack and all the black pencils I've tried.

Lip Gloss -MAC - Dazzleglass in Bare Necessity
Sophia17 1/10/2010 11:54:00 AM
My HG lipgloss for the past 2 years. I never liked Mac lipglasses because they tend to turn bad really quick on me, about 6 or 12 months. But this Dazzleglass it's 2 years old and still is OK. I seriously love it, even though it's sticky and I hate sticky l/g, this one is sticky in a good way, it never creates tha milky ring on lips. I love love the shade, it's a transparent peachy pink with a hint of caramel in. I use it on top of all m lipsticks , pinks, nudes, peaches. Overall it's a great l/g for every occasion, if I could own only 1 l/g that would be it.

Mascara -Christian Dior - Diorshow Iconic High Definition Lash Curler Mascara
Sophia17 1/10/2010 10:49:00 AM
One of the most expenive mascaras I've purchased along with YSL, retails for 32 euros here in Greece. Very expensive and doesn't worth the money, because it dries up really quick, mine did with 1.5 months, and even though the 1st month it'svery good at seperating lashes and adds a naturall curl, after it becoms very clumpy, makes my lashes look like I only have 4 lashes, and the curl doen't exist anymore. For sure i won't repurchase it again, because I've found a very good mascara, Mac's Plushlash.

Lip Gloss -Stila - Vanilla Lip Glaze
Sophia17 1/10/2010 10:43:00 AM
Even though I adore Stila Lipglazes, I hate to admit that this one is a disspointment for me. I have the mini one from the holiday collection pack of 5 or 6 I can't remember now, back from 2007. It's very sticky, not like the other lipglazes I own, mostly clear with gold shimmers overload, that seriously don't flatter my lips ( which most of the times are dry). and that makes it look mostly yellow gold. It makes me look sick. It's similar to Mac's Instant Gold Lustreglass, but the lustreglass flatters my lips, doesn't have that many gold shimmers and it's not as sticky so it glides well on my lips.

Eyes -MAC - Paint Pot in Bare Study
Sophia17 1/10/2010 10:25:00 AM
It's my HG base and cream e/s. When my eyelids were more oily I prefered UDPP but now that are more dry I love using Bare Study as a base. It has a soft aazing light champagne shade with silver shimmers, it evens the color of my brownish eyelids, it has a decent lasting power, not better than UDPP but still a good one. There's nothing I can say more, I use it for almost 3 years now, I have other Paint Pots too but I use this one the most. Love it an i will repurchase it for sure.

Skincare - Face -MAC - Fix+
Sophia17 1/10/2010 10:14:00 AM
I can't tell you how much I hate this product LOL Seriously it's one of my few purchases that I really regret about! But it's my mistake also because reading the reviews I didn't notice that the majority of the ppl who love it don't have acne prone and oily skin. It made my skin sooooooo oily I can't even describe and even my cheeks which are dry were an oily mess. And after that, like it wasn't enough it broke me out, especially on cheeks. I think that's enough reason not to re purchase it and also not reccomend it to ppl with same skintype.

Liquid -MAC - Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15
Sophia17 1/10/2010 9:25:00 AM
It has been my staple liquid foundation for 2 years. Until now it's one of the few liquid fndts that never broke me out and I have to say I'm surprised that the one fndt that it never broke me out is from Mac. I've also tried the powder form and it broke me out, I also tried the Face & Body from Mac and this one broke me out too. SFF has a thick consistency especially after the 1st year. I use the NC25, which is the right tone for me but very yellow, and that makes me look sick sometimes and I need more bronzer when I use it, to make my skin look healthy again. I'm a C shade at Stila, and #5 at YSL and until now the #5 from YSL it's the exact shade for my skintone , same with my neck, and no yellow or pink in it, it's a light to medium warm beige, and I wish Mac had warm beige shades, because not all warm skintones are yellow and can pull off the NC shades. I hate the fact that the NC shades are very yellow and the NW very pink, and that's a reason why I propably I won't repurchase it again, but I never say never because if I'll try other fndts and all will broke me out I'll come back to it. One more reason why I don't like it is that even though I have oily skin, I have some dry spots from dehydration, on my cheeks and around my mouth and SFF is the worst fndt for dry spots, it makes them soooo visible, I can say 10 times more visible. Overall I love the price of the SFF and the fact that it never broke me out, I'm going to try the new YSL Teint Resist since YSL carries the perfect shade for my skintone, but if this one will broke me out I will come back to my SFF.

Moisturizers -Clinique - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel
Sophia17 1/10/2010 8:56:00 AM
Such a classic moisturizer for oily skins. But I have to say that is not exactly a moisturizer for me. I love that it never broke me out ( and I'm very break out prone), I also love the fact that you don't have to use a lot, and love love love the packaging ( I mean about the pump packaging). But it's not exactly a moisturizer for me, my cheeks are dehydrated all year besides the summer months and this moisturizer never ever hydrated them. I could compare it with other gel type moisturizers, like Clinique's Extra Moisture Surge and Biotherm's Aquasourse Non Stop but it would fail. I consider Clinique's Extra Surge and Biotherm's actual moisturizers, both hydrated my skin much much better than DDMG. I use DDMG at very hot months, when here reach 30 to 40 C, and mostly when I mix my fndts to sheer them a little. It's the best moisturizer for that job, and I make my own tinted moisturizer that way, great solution for summer months. Another thing that I hate is the price ofthe DDMG here. It costs 52 euros for the big bottle, and even though you get a lot of product( 125 ml) and it has the same price with a high end simple 50 ml moisturizer here like Biotherm's, Estee Lauder's, Clarins etc, I consider that is VERY expensive since it fails to be a decent moisturizer even for my oily skin, an because in the US it only costs 24 USD which means only 17 euros. SO you can tell the difference between 17 to 52 euros it's A LOT!!!!!!

Cleansers -Yves Saint Laurent - Pureness Satiny Oil
Sophia17 10/24/2009 1:57:00 PM
It's one of the best cleansing oils I've ever tried!! Seriously the price is outrageous ( 35 euros in Greece). I wasn't planning to get it at first 1,5 years ago , but here there are very few brands that actually have cleansing oils, and I didn't want to try a solid form of oil , like Clinique's Take The Day Off Balm, or a gel form of oil like Clarins Cleansing Melt. Soooooooo I had 3 options: Mac's, Kanebo's or YSL's. Kanebo's is WAY more expensive than YSL's, and Mac's.............. well I kind afraid of Mac's skincare, or face stuff, most of the times they break me out, except 2 products. Soooooo YSL was my last option, but it was a sales period then and I didn't pay full price sooo I said to myself, why not! It was a big risk since it was kind of a new product back then, and there were absolutely no reviews for it, obviously not a popular product like Mac's oil. But I'm glad I took the risk, since it's the best oil I've tried. I have oily-combo, acne prone skin, which is also sensitive. I say oily combo, because it changes through the seasons. In the past I've tried some Asian oils, thanks to a friend who lives in Japan, she was kind enough to send me some samples now and then. I've tried Shu's the pink, the yellow and the green one ( sorry I can't remember the exact names I can categorize them with its color), the pink and the yellow one made my skin super itchy, plus they broke me out within a few hours, horrible stuff for my face. But the green one was something else, it was very gentle, it didn't broke me out at all, until I found YSL's it was my number one. I also tried DHC's, horrible, it caused me cystic acne, plus it was very thick and I didn't like the smell at all!! I also tried the one from Orbis, nothing spectacular, but I have to say it was SUPER thick an sticky, I didn't like that texture, I prefer the runny texture at cleansing oils. Fancl's Mild was also one ofthe few I tried, this one is the 3rd best I've tried so far. Indeed mild, plus it left my skin super moisturized, but again it had a thick texture. I did this small comparison, to tell you that I completely adore YSL's Satiny Oil, and I prefer it from all these. It has a runny texture which I love, it emulsifies with water and turns out milky. I don't use it to take off my eye mu, I never use a cleansing oil to take off my eye mu, it's so hard to take it all of, plus the texture is heavy for my eyes, and I have sensitive eyes. I prefer oil base eye mu removers which don't have that heavy texture, like Dior's and Clinique's. The bottle of YSL's oil is a 200 ml one, and I use about 3 to 4 pumps for my whole face ( except eyes), yeah I know it sounds a lot, but I like to use a lot. LOL . I massage my face with it well, for 2 - 3 minutes ,I use warm water to remove it ,and then I use my gel cleanser from Avene. I always do the 2 step cleansing method, because I'm very acne prone. But even with the 2nd cleanser I use, my skin is super soft, which also a reason why i love it. Within 1.5 years, I finsihed 2 bottles and now I'm about to get my 3rd one. ( and I don't use mu every day) I hope I helped some of you, and I hope in the future I see more reviews for it, since I can see it's not very popular.

Lip Gloss -Stila - Grapefruit Lip Glaze
Sophia17 8/13/2007 6:38:00 AM
I totally adore Lipglazes, I actually got this one at the old small packaging as a GWP, and I fell in love, An incredible sweet pink shade! I found out that Stila has the best pink blushes for me, better than Mac's! Look wonderful on my warm skin, even tho it's not a warm pink, it's soo pretty! And gives that awesome watery effect on lips like all Lipglazes!! But it cannot beat my alltime fave pink from Stila, the Passion Fruit Lipglaze!
