Primer/ Corrector -MAC - MAC Select Cover-Up - Color Corrector Green
Smurfette123 5/4/2013 7:27:00 PM
So this is actually for the blonde ash corrector which is a pale white.yellow.green color. I'm probably in the nw 20 something family and I actually had good luck with this as a corrector before my concealer. The nice thing was that since it has a whitish tinge it didn't change the color of my concealer which was the problem I've been having. Kiddos to it that I don't have to wear foundation because my concealer matches my skin tone and this prevent reverse raccoon eyes and corrects spots decent. Didn't crease either and lasted about 10 hours...I don't have oily skin.

It's okay. It's really more of a corrector for circles. That being said I generally correct, apply foundation, and then matching concealer...or use this, then concealer, and then mineral powder. I wouldn't say I'd choose this over bobbi brown correctors or vice versa. I always use my Clinique dark circle corrector (it's a love/hate) as a base to keep it from creasing so I can't comment on use without an under eye primer. I suppose since I'm still looking for a different one says a lot about how I feel about it.

I have shine to my skin but my idea of foundation is this with a big powder brush. It doesn't make me break out. My only gripe is that all the shades seem to have a yellow tint to them. I wish they had a more neutral undertone.

Blush -Tarte - Achiote Natural Cheek Tint

So this review is on the 12 HOUR BLUSH and not the cheek tint. I received it in a combo pack and i must say i do really like the color. Of the three i have (exposed, flush, and tippy) i'd actually say its my favorite. its what i had hoped exposed would be. its matte but with all of them you have to blend the edges out because it be a tish streaky if you don't buff it out.

i ended up keeping this one and returning superb. i found that for some reason this color was easier to work with, the texture seemed nicer and I didn't have to work to scrape it off the pan like i did with superb. I also felt that his left a more of a sheen than the micro shimmer that I got from superb. I have minimal undertone once on the skin so I found this color was much nicer and "natural" looking. ironically between the two my husband preferred this sheen to the superb glitter.

Highlighters -MAC - Superb Extra Dimension Skinfinish

I do love rose golds...and this looks gorgeous when swatched heavily on my hand/arm. however it is difficult to get product up from the pan and while it leaves a pretty microparticle glittery sheen at the end of the day you still have small glitter on your face. I ended up sending it back because I just don't like to have to work to get the color off the product. And it really doesn't work as an eyeshadow...they staying power on eye lids was terrible, even with a primer and I normally don't wear a primer with any of my eyeshadows.

while i love these eyeshadows...this one just isn't right for me. i have strong yellow understones in my nw23 complexion and it just doesn't show up on my eyelids, even with an eye primer. Edit: ok with two layers this does ok but it looks really nice with a peachy pink eyeshadow over the top...if you can get enough of color to show up.

while it does it reflect light nicely it also dried out my skin. the other thing i noticed was that when i looked in the mirror there were a bunch of tiny sparkles....everywhere.

i use this product as my undereye concealer and really like it. here is why. i'm about an nw 23 and have strong yellow undertones. this, on me, has a slight salmon color to it. And while my dark circles aren't magically gone (be realistic, it isn't spackle) they are def more of a fleshy color. i then apply my foundation over it (i know, a no no) which helps to blend the lines. If i'm really desperate maybelline age rewind has this yellow tinted undereye concealer which helps on the days my kid doesn't sleep. i dont use this on my blemishes because of the salmon undertone...depsite the what the gurus say, red and salmon dont make a natural color.

Its very pretty in the pan but doesn't show up on my NW20-NW25 skin....not even a little. I do on the other hand LOVE the vintage grape.

Blush -Tarte - Amazonian 12-Hour Clay Blush In Flush
Smurfette123 10/29/2011 10:47:00 AM
It's not the greatest thing ever...I found it applies splotchy without foundation. However I love the color and its unique enough for me to keep it. Might buy one more color in blissful cause I like peaches. I did notice that it is extremely similar to my Mac rhubarb pro blush....in the pan they look darn near identical.

I've heard people say some aren't as sticky as others but I found this to be....filmy. I like the color and would really like it if it wasn't filmy/sticky. Plus I'm not a huge fan of waiting for my blush to dry.

I like it. Id rather travel with this then my naked palette. I like the pink because I can use it as a blush.
