Moisturizers -H20 - Face Oasis Ultra Hydrator
Smurfette 8/10/2010 7:12:00 PM
This is a terrible moisturizer that isn’t the least bit hydrating. Skin-damaging, free radical–generating alcohol is the second ingredient and this product also contains far more mica (an ingredient that adds shine) than it does the beneficial ingredients that your skin really needs to look younger and smoother. All the algae in the sea cannot compensate for what a truly bad formula this is—and I haven’t even gotten to the problematic preservative this contains! -cosmetics cop review

Lipstick -Lancome - Color Fever Prune Drama Girl
Smurfette 7/30/2008 3:10:00 PM
$25 for this lipstick is steep for me! But I love the shade. It is plummy and perfect for dark skinned or tanned gals like me. It puts a little pop of color to my face. I ended up buying it because I have not seen another shade like this. I also got the Constellation Juicy Tubes lipgloss which complements Prune Drama girl quite nicely.

Fragrances -Bath and Body Works - Rainkissed Leaves
Smurfette 7/10/2008 8:02:00 PM
This is a lighter version of their limited edition VERTYVER scent that they had about 5 years ago. I loved the Vertyver and am glad to see it come back. I am surprised none of the reviews mention this. Vertyver was sold for a very limited time, though. You can still find it on ebay. I give it five stars!

Lotions/ Creams -Victoria's Secret - Beauty Rush Body Drink Lotion- Slice of Heaven [DISCONTINUED]
Smurfette 3/1/2007 7:00:00 PM
SLice of heaven reminds me of Duwop Buttercream in the scent. Except Slice of Heaven costs less then the Duwop. I love the VS for its scent and moisturizing quality. I have dry skin that is alleviated by this product. The scent was strong but quickly faded away on me. The lotion is a little sticky after I put it on, but sinks in and the stickiness disappears after about 10 minutes. I recommend this because of the price and it really moisturizes well. It doesnt hurt that VS often has sales going on for the line.

Lip Gloss -Lancome - Caramel Twist
Smurfette 11/7/2006 4:46:00 PM
I sampled this today. It is a twist of three different shades in the tube and looks very cute! The color is actually just a clear gloss with copper and gold tiny sparkles. It is a little disappointing as I was expecting some color in the gloss. Anyhow, a very cute concept. $16.50.

Lip Gloss -MAC - Lipglass- Pop Mode
Smurfette 9/2/2006 3:17:00 PM
This is a definate must for gals with darker skin tones. It is my favorite lipgloss from mac, and shows up as plummy with goldish undertones for daytime wear. I am of India descent. Way to go, MAC!

Shampoo -LUSH - I Love Juicy
Smurfette 5/12/2006 5:14:00 PM
I think this is LUSH's best shampoo. I have oily hair, and it makes it soft and shiny. IT was an impulse buy after the sniffing it at the store- It is an incredible fruity scent that is mouthwatering. It is a bit expensive, about $7 for a small bottle, but worth the money because it's very concentrated- a little goes a loong way. a definate repurchase!

Fragrances -Lancome - Hypnose
Smurfette 4/5/2006 11:09:00 PM
The test strip in the magazine smelled wonderful, and I bought the fragrance with a gwp. Big mistake. The real fragrance smells nothing like the test strip. I smells cheap and monotone. The drydown reminds me of CK Truth perfume, but without the complex first notes. I am surprised at Lancome, this is definately a miss for them!

Fragrances -Clean - Sweet Layer
Smurfette 10/27/2005 12:37:00 PM
I scored this at Sephora for $20 since it is being discontined. I love it; it reminds me of Fresh Lemon line. I find the original Clean too sharp for me, and the sweet layer softens that. It lasts a couple of hours on me. Too bad it is being discontinued.

Hair Color -Clairol - Herbal Essences Hair Color [DISCONTINUED]
Smurfette 7/21/2005 4:22:00 PM
This was the worst hair coloring I ever experienced. I used #42, Wild Cinnamon which is Deep Auburn.
First of all, the process was very messy. the solution is watery as you put it in your hair, resulting in drips all over my bathroom sink, floor and rugs. When I washed my hair, I agree with the other reviewer that my bathtub looks like I was stabbed- there was color splatters everywhere (and difficult to wash off with water!). Also, like the other reviewers, it took FOREVER to wash all the haircolor out. My Tshirt got red stains around the collar area from the hairdye after my shower, and you can see the color in my hairline.
I suggest forget Clairol herbal essences. There are many other wonderful hair coloring products out there. A *big* Thumbs Down for me.

Moisturizers -Avon - Recharging Day Radiance Cream
Smurfette 5/11/2005 3:30:00 PM
This is a new product from avon at this writing. The product is in a 1.7 oz heavy glass orange jar. My first impression is the scent. It smells EXACTLY like Calvin Klein's Truth perfume to me! FOrtunetly, the scent quickly vanishes after applying. It does moisturize my dry skin adequatly, and has an SPF 15. There is also a Recharging Night cream which I haven't tried yet.

Deodorants -Avon - Perfumed Liquid Deodorant
Smurfette 3/23/2005 10:14:00 PM
This really works, and is unique in today's world of roll ons and stick deodorants. I remember my mom using it, and recently i tried it. It has a wonderful fragrance and keeps sweat away well. Great if you would like to try something different, and very reasonably priced too (around $3)

Foundations -Maybelline - Dream Matte Mousse
Smurfette 7/26/2004 9:32:00 PM
WOW! I bought this on an impulse and am really impressed. I would have never guessed this was a drugstore brand formulation. I got the shade Tan, which matches my MAC C6 skin perfectly. I have dry skin and acne scarring, and it felt comfortable and covered the scars. I also *LOVE* the texture- it feels so smooth like silk. Got it for a bargain too- it was on sale at CVS for $5, and i had a $3 maybelline coupon...A steal for $2! Would definately repurchase.

Fragrances -Aquolina - Pink Sugar
Smurfette 6/14/2004 4:54:00 PM
I took a whiff of this at Sephora, and had to return the next day to purchase. Normally I would stay away from cotton candy scents because sounds too young for me (i'm 31), but it is not true for Pink Sugar. I dont know how they managed it, but it is not a pre-teen/"teeny bopper" scent, but seems appropriate for all ages.
