Polishes -OPI - DS-Classic
SmallerFries 2/10/2012 4:15:00 PM
This is the perfect neutral that will go with anything. So versatile! DS Classic is a nude, beige polish with scattered holo magic. I normally love crazy colors and tend to shy away from neutrals, but I couldn't stop staring at my nails after applying this one. It's even prettier in the sun. Great wear time too which is always a plus and it's opaque in two coats. Highly recommend, though it is more expensive than OPI's normal collection so don;t be shocked by the price tag.

Polishes -China Glaze - Ahoy!
SmallerFries 8/22/2011 4:22:00 PM
I have had this color all summer but just now cracked it open. Why? Because I thought is was just another bright pink. I was so wrong. I am so in love with this raspberry pink polish with tiny gold, pink and blue flecks. The blue flecks are there you just have to look real close. It's so pretty and the application was perfect. Very easy to work with and opaque in two coats. Just a gorgeous color that gets a lot of attention!

Polishes -China Glaze - Chiaroscuro
SmallerFries 8/22/2011 4:21:00 PM
In the bottle Chiaroscuro is a peach color with gold and green flecks. But on my nails it's peach mixed with gold with no green to be found. Too bad because the green in the bottle added a cool dimension. The application is great and only took two coats to make it perfect, very easy to work with and it defiantly has staying power which is plus. China Glaze for me is a winner in both of those departments. Though the color is unique and beautiful in the bottle, I didn't feel that Chiaroscuro looked that great on my skin tone as it didn't have enough contrast. It looked gorgeous on my friend who is darker complected though!

Polishes -Essie - Borrowed and Blue - Wedding Collection 2011
SmallerFries 8/22/2011 4:20:00 PM
Borrowed and Blue is from Essie's 2011 Wedding Collection and is most likely a limited edition color. It's a pretty baby blue which is unique to anything I have in my collection. The application was a little difficult as the polish is very thick and gloppy making it streak. The second coat evened it out a little better. My biggest issue is it began to chip the next day which surprised me for Essie. Maybe it's just this formula. But because of the application and the short wear time I would not rebuy.

Polishes -Essie - Jackie Oh My
SmallerFries 8/22/2011 4:19:00 PM
Jackie Oh My is a color that will go with just about everything making it really versatile. The color is a soft white with a pinkish tan overcast. I found it a little hard to put on as it can be very streaky and it takes about 4 coats for it to be opaque. I have really fair skin so I didn't find that it popped on my nails but it didn't look terrible. Just there. I do think it would look great on darker complexions or those with a tan. It did have a great wear life though, it lasted a full week with minimal wear and tear.

Polishes -Essie - Sew Psyched
SmallerFries 8/22/2011 4:18:00 PM
My friend collects Essie and was so excited to share this color with others and asked if she could put it on my nails. I figured why not and let her work her magic even though I was doubtful about the color as it didn't look that flattering. After she finished with my manicure my fears were realized. This color did not flatter my pale coloring at all and actually made my hands look dead. Maybe this color would work better with someone with darker coloring but it really looked terrible on me. I ended up taking it off the next day because a couple of my friends confirmed that it looked terrible on me during a night out. Good times! Because of this I don't know about the staying power of Sew Psyched, but don't really care to find out.

Top/Base Coats -Sally Hansen - Dries Instantly
SmallerFries 8/22/2011 4:18:00 PM
I am too impatient to wait for my nails to dry and always end up denting my polish or leaving strange patterns on each individual nail. Because of this I decided to buy a quick dry top coat polish and headed to the Sally Hanson section to save myself some cash. I was doubtful it would really work, but was pleased that within about 5 minutes, my nails were completely dry to the touch. It also left a nice enough shine for a top coat. I am pretty happy with this product especially since it was only about $4.00.

Polishes -Essie - Mint Candy Apple
SmallerFries 8/22/2011 4:17:00 PM
The application of this nail polish was somewhat of a nightmare. It was really thick and goopy making it nearly impossible to put it on the nails neatly. It's also really streaky but mostly fixable by the second coat. The color is also more of a robin blue color than a light green and a little too chalky for my light coloring. I probably would not repurchase in the future.

Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Original (UDPP)
SmallerFries 8/22/2011 4:16:00 PM
Wow, this product didn't work for me at all! I have naturally oily skin and thought this would keep my eye makeup looking fresh all day long. It didn't stop the makeup from wearing off and ended up drying my eyelids making them wrinkly for a couple weeks even after I finished using it. Seriously, I looked like I had the eyelids of a 80+ year old women which is great if I was 100. After a lot of lot of thick moisturizer my eyelids are back. I do have really sensitive skin so maybe that played into it as it seems to work for most people. Too bad, I really need something to keep my eye shadow in place.

Polishes -China Glaze - For Audrey
SmallerFries 8/22/2011 4:15:00 PM
I was looking for a color like this to round out my nail polish collection and decided to buy For Audrey because it was on sale. I can see why it's so popular as it's a beautiful color! It also lasts a long time without chipping which is a huge plus. The only problem I can see with this color is matching it to outfits but I have a lot of clothes in this color along with neutrals so it works. Also, the first coat can be streaky and hard to work with but gets better with the second coat. It's a lot of fun and you'll definitely get comments when wearing it. Positive ones I might add!

Gels/Soaps -Bath and Body Works - Anti-Bacterial Moisturizing Hand Soap in Sweet Pea
SmallerFries 8/22/2011 4:14:00 PM
The hand soap is the only way I like the Sweet Pea scent. It's a really strong yet pleasant scent and such a sweet, beautiful floral. The lotion and body spray always end up smelling strange on me, maybe because of my body chemistry. That and it doesn't last at all which may be a good thing. But this soap is one of my favorites. Go figure! I would definitely buy again!

Gels/Soaps -Bath and Body Works - Anti Bacterial Hand Soap in Warm Vanilla Sugar
SmallerFries 8/22/2011 4:13:00 PM
I love this hand soap and always have some on hand. I love vanilla anything and this scent is so perfect though it may be too sweet for some. Every time I have people over they always make a comment about how great this soap is after using it. The scent stays on your hands for a while too which is great but might bother some. Great price if you get it on sale!

Gels/Soaps -Bath and Body Works - Blushing Mimosa
SmallerFries 8/22/2011 4:12:00 PM
For some reason, I thought that this product would smell like the flower rather than the drink. I am not a fan of citrus scents and this one is heavy with it. I am giving the hand soap a low rating because the smell is very strong and overwhelming. More than usual for B&BW soap. Like most of the hand soaps it's drying, but it can be fixed with lotion. Though the lotion can't even cover the scent. I definitely wouldn't repurchase this. I don't even want to finish it.

Polishes -Essie - Miami Nice
SmallerFries 8/22/2011 4:11:00 PM
What a beautiful color! The best way to describe it is a hot pink with attitude. It's a great color for someone with cool coloring due to hints of blue in it. It really does make a bold statement and is perfect for Spring though I have been wearing it on my toes during the summer for a bright splash of color. It has been almost a week since I put it on, and it is starting to show signs of wear but only if you looked closely at my nails. I am very happy with the staying power as I use my hands a lot. Great color!

Polishes -Unlisted Brand - Duri-Unexpected Kiss
SmallerFries 8/22/2011 4:10:00 PM
I love this color by Duri! I went to get a manicure in my neighborhood and they had this color on the top shelf. After having my nails done, I knew I had to own this color for myself and went in search for it. Unfortunately, at this time, you can only buy Duri online which is too bad because they have very nice colors. The color is a very delicate pinkish purple and looks great on my light skin tone. Due to bluish undertones, I think it would work best for people with a cool undertone. It's such a pretty and feminine color and gets a lot of compliments.
