Eye Shadow -MAC - Mineralize Eyeshadow in Engaging
rated 3 of 5

I was very excited by the swatch for this duo on mac's webpage... But unfortunately when it came in the mail I was anything but thrilled or excited. I *love* gold and bronze shadows because they make my blue-ish green eyes really pop... But I found the gold side of this shadow to be nothing special. I have a few eye shadows from mac that are extremely similar to this color. The pinky color is good for highlighting, blending, and lining the lower lash line. Its too plain (for me anyways) to wear on its own. I'll use the both of them up, but I won't be repurchasing.

Pressed Powders -MAC - Mineralize Skinfinish Natural - Medium
rated 4 of 5
Silverwinged 11/19/2007 10:31:00 PM

I bought this out of impulse and had buyers remorse while it was sitting on my bathroom counter... But when I tried a few times before I thought about returning it, I changed my mind completely! Blot powder from MAC looks powdery and gross on me, but this! It blends flawlessly with my foundation and gives my face a clean polished look. It seems to absorb oil and give a bit more color to my face. The only reason this product lost a lippy from me is because (as some members below mentioned) it doesn't have a mirror! I will definitely repurchase, if I can snag another before they are discontinued.

Highlighters -MAC - Mineralize Skinfinish - New Vegas
rated 5 of 5
Silverwinged 11/19/2007 10:23:00 PM

I, personally, haven't had any problem applying my New Vegas. I'm fairly pale so I don't apply it very heavily, and I use this color as a highlighter on my cheeks. For me, it has great staying power and doesn't wash me out, even though I have pink undertones. Occasionally I will dust it on my forehead and nose if I'm going out at night and want some additional highlighting of my face. I don't use this on a daily basis, but I did say I would buy it again if I manage to use it all!

Treatments (Eye) -MAC - Fast Response Eye Cream
rated 4 of 5
Silverwinged 11/19/2007 4:56:00 PM

Unlike many of the reviews on here, I'm happy to say this product did wonders for my eyes that are constantly puffy/have dark bags. Only using a little under each eye before make up application brightened up the area, made it amazingly soft and prooved to be a great base before adding concealer. (Even though I honestly do not use as much as I would have before purchasing this product) I also use an even smaller amount at night, just to smooth the eye area, and it definately improves how my eyes look when I wake up. The only reason this product lost a lippy from me was because it does cost a pretty penny for the 15mL bottle that you get.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Veluxe Pearl - Cosmic
rated 4 of 5
Silverwinged 11/19/2007 4:52:00 PM

I love gold and bronze colors, so when this color came out with the Moonbathe collection I bought it online. The website's description really doesn't do this shade justice. I was convinced it was going to be a darker, more dingy rust color. But oh no! This is almost like a muted tangerine color but when given its velux pearle finish, it gets toned down even more. This has easily become one of my favorite shadows to do a gold/gold&smokey eye. I don't think there is anyone that COULDN'T pull this shade off! It has great staying power and can be built up from a gentle shimmer to a very bold "Look At Me!" Gold. Will most definately repurch!

Eye Shadow -MAC - Mineralize Eye Shadow in Silversmith
rated 3 of 5

I went to a product preview for the 2007 Holiday line and I picked this up then. After wearing a few times, I have decided to review! As most have said, the only redeeming quality of this duo is the dark blue lower half. At the preview showing, they really pushed this color for people with fair skin and blue eyes. Well, I thought "Finally! Blues that I can wear!" Wrong. Well the light blue anyways. I'm a PPP NW20... It stands out far too much and can be over-barring unless I really blend blend blend, with another more mute tone. Another thing I find some what annyoing about these duos, is the fact that the glitter pieces often fall down and make my lower cheek/under eye area VERY sparkly and I have to end up spending a few moments buffing it all away so I don't end up looking like a disco ball. The navy color makes this Holiday issue product worth *some* of my money. Its gorgeous and so build-able! I love mixing it with Silver Ring and Swan lake for a more dark smokey silver/blue combo. I love the dark blue, and will probably end up using it all, but I selected no to buying this product again because I'd rather look for a dupe for the navy.... Rather than shelling out for a new duo that I'm going to waste half of anyways.

Palettes -MAC - Balloonacy Pandamonium quad
rated 5 of 5
Silverwinged 11/19/2007 4:39:00 PM

This is, by far, my favorite MAC quad EVER! (And I buy a lot of MAC so this is a huge thing for me!) I am a PPP NW15-NW20 and these are beautiful shadows that I can wear that don't totally make me look like the un-dead. Cloud bound is a GREAT base for a lot of other colors I've found as well. I love using Up At Dawn and Pandamonium for a great smokey-sexy night time look. Up At Dawn gets the biggest nod from me because its such a good shade for building on. A little bit of it is perfect for a day look, and if you really pile it on - it creates a beautiful evening look that really brings out blue or green eyes. This product lost some lippies from me however because: I find the packaging for this quads cheap. I am by no means rough with my mu and I find that the plastic lids tend to crack. I tried and tried to get another one of these while they were online at maccosmetics.ca, unfortunately they were all gone. So! To eBay I go to satisfy my lemming....

Lip Gloss -MAC - Elaborate
rated 5 of 5
Silverwinged 6/21/2007 11:03:00 PM

I _HATE_ this color... Obviously I kid, I just want to buy a couple hundred of these and just save them for a rainy day. I was so upset when I missed this gorgeous color from the previous release, but I ordered two when the Moonbathe collection came out online. I'm fairly pale, and this gloss added a hint of color and made my lips look lush without a huge overkill of color. Looks great alone or with a nude/muted pink lip stick I found. (I liked using solar plum for a more dramatic look) I'm ordering another right now... I adore this color.

Lipstick -MAC - Honeymoon
rated 5 of 5
Silverwinged 6/21/2007 10:42:00 PM

Love love LOVE! This color! For the record, I'm a PPP/NW 20 and I too was worried that this color would make me look like a corpse, but it did not! This creamy warm pinky color looked great on me, without any lipgloss on top. When I put Elaborate (Also from the Moonbathe collection) on top, my lips look glam; paired with a smokey eye - I'm ready for a night out! The pearly colored tube is so gorgeous, to boot. I'm definitely ordering another tube while MAC still has free shipping on the site.

Makeup Brushes -MAC - #318 Retractable Lip
rated 4 of 5
Silverwinged 6/21/2007 9:02:00 PM

Like many of the reviews already posted, I have been searching for a lip brush that didn't shed into my products. I own a MAC brush set already, and was skeptical about spending $24 on such a small piece of beauty equipment... But boy was it worth it. This brush picks up the perfect amount of lipstick/gloss without having to dig into the lip product and ruin it. The bristles are a good length for picking up the last bits of color from a lipstick tube. The brush collapses (in a sense) into itself, and travels easily in any makeup case in can find. I would definitely purchase again, if I need to! This brush is pretty well designed, and of good quality.

Lipstick -MAC - Lipstick - Solar Plum(from Moonbathe)
rated 4 of 5
Silverwinged 6/21/2007 4:26:00 AM

LE Lip stick released with the MAC 2007 Moonbathe Collection. I bought this lipstick as well as Honey Moon at MAC online when the collection came out. Now, I've learned the hard way on more than a few occasions that I should be going to the actual counter for certain products (lipsticks for one!) but I lucked out with this shade. I was sure after reading the first few reviews that I was going to have to go through the hassle of returning it... But I loved SP! I don't usually choose burgandy colored shades for myself as I'm PPP/NW20... Gorgeous gold pearl accents in the color, looks great under a light slick of c-thru or cushy white plush glass. I probably won't purchase it again, because I really won't use it that often... But when I feel sassy this will be the first shade I think of.

Blush -MAC - Afterdusk
rated 4 of 5
Silverwinged 6/21/2007 4:03:00 AM

I love this blush, except, as its been said... It wears off so darn fast! This LE blush was my lemming product from the MAC Moonbathe '07 Collection. The color (a darker neutral pink with gold shimmer) is just perfect for my NW20-NW25 skin tone; where as most blushes from MAC (without pre-bronzing my face) wash me out... Yep my skin is just THAT pale. This shade looks natural on, and gives me a subtle glow that I've received compliments on already. The white pot packaging is a nice change from the regular black to boot! Ordering again, as we speak.

Eye Makeup Remover -MAC - Gently Off Eye and Lip Makeup Remover
rated 4 of 5
Silverwinged 6/21/2007 3:53:00 AM

There have been quite a few reviews bashing this product, and I can honestly say I'm really surprised. I have incredibly sensitive skin and have been searching for a product that won't dry out my eyelids or lips after daily use; and this MAC product is my new HG. I have acne-prone skin, and I did find this product a little oily. HOWEVER! Splashing my face with warm water and patting it try with a face towel left my skin feeling smooth and refreshed. Neutrogena made me break out like crazy! <3 this product.
