Polishes -Orly - Sweet Tart
SilentPerfection 3/27/2013 11:19:00 PM
Wore this polsh recenly and I was very impressed! A pretty red leaning hot pink jelly (bottle color is darker than on the nail) that worked excellently for sadwiching. Wore for 5 days before the first tiny chip and 7 before it needed to be removed without touch up top coating! It remained very squishy/shiny durring its wear time though it did incur some scratches 4 days in. Id easily reccomend this to others.

Polishes -Unlisted Brand - A-England St George
SilentPerfection 3/8/2013 2:46:00 AM
Wearing this today as the second color on a tape mani. This is a polish who's true beauty just doesnt show in the bottle or even in a photo on the nail though its a stunner. The holo is subtle but there, it has an impressive teal/blue shift thats difficult to capture. It sponged on beautifully only needed one pass to achieve opacity over black. One I plan to wear again and again :). Thus far all my a-englands have worn well 4+ days no chips and im tough on them hope this polish continues that trend.

Polishes -Unlisted Brand - A-England - Princess Tears
SilentPerfection 2/14/2013 10:06:00 PM
A nice demure lavender based holo. Not as striking as a layla or color club but has a defined linear holo. In order of dominance green, gold, blue, and orange/red. Holo is visable indoors under fluorecent lighting as well as in the sun. If you like holos this is a good choice as it could be considered work appropriate depending on the enviornment. As much as I hate to say it lavender just isnt my hue so i think this one will mostly be for designs rather than full nail. This would look great on someone with darker skin as it tends to bring out the red in my ghostly appearance. .

Polishes -Unlisted Brand - A-England - She Walks In Beauty
SilentPerfection 2/14/2013 9:56:00 PM
Im not usually a glitter person but this manicure - http://the-polished-perfectionist.blogspot.com/2013/01/a-england-she-walks-in-beauty.html - had me lusting after this one. It has a great even distribution though you might need to dab if you want more of the large pink hex. Dries quick and lasts well im 5 days in and tough on them (cleaned the kitchen, bathroom, ect...) with only one small corner chip. Its quite smooth which supprised me the texture is a big part of why I generally stay away from this type of polish. One layer of top coat is fine by me on this one two would likely make it totally smooth.

Polishes -Sinful - Captivate Me
SilentPerfection 1/18/2013 1:43:00 AM
I own 3 of the sinful magnetic polishes polar opposites, captivate me, and whatever the green one is i lost my sticker so i dont have the name. I have worn the green i have to say it is my favorite, ive swatched polar opposites wore it for a day and a half and loved it but had to change my polish for an event, and captivate me while i love the color i dont love the formula. I havent even had it on a day and i kind of want to take it off. Once i started applying it i didnt even bother to go through the step of adding the magnetic effect. My main dislike about this polish is that it applies very grainy. Its not bubbles i rubbed a dab of polish between my fingers and got a sandy grit. Neither of my two others have this so i may just have a dud. My second dislike is that it applies rather gummy textured and streaky again i did not have these issues with the other two. To give it a positive point i do enjoy the slight scattered holo effect but this isnt one i would suggest from the line. Doubt i'll have this on long enough to speak to wear but the green wore 4 days and i am hard on my nails and picky about chips. I use a base coat on all nails and top coat only on the ones that dont have a design.

Polishes -Barielle - Cocoa Bar
SilentPerfection 12/18/2012 4:16:00 AM
I have mixed feelings about this one. Lovely color, looks like I poured dark chocolate glaze on my nails :). But this polish was horrific to put on for me. Not a fan of the itty bitty brush, nor how runny it was and I prefer thin polish but this was something else. It had alot of balding issues if i hadnt been using it for a layered mani it would have taken 3 maybe 4 coat to be opaque and even. I dont mind sheers but please be even! When I swatched it on my nail wheel it only took two coats so im a bit baffeled. Upsides so far is that it did dry incredably fast and by the end of the second day, two loads of dishes, and a good amount of cleaning no chips :D. Im a sucker for staying power. I have 6 other colors i got in my order hopefully the rest wont be this much work. Wont pass judgment on the brand just yet, im intruiged enough by the color selelction to try to learn to work with them.

Top/Base Coats -Unlisted Brand - Beauty Secrets - Nail Matrix Cuticle Oil and Instant Polish Dryer
SilentPerfection 12/14/2012 2:16:00 AM
This review is for beauty secrets original cuticle oil, same packaging but different formula. I cant use the matrix oil due to a wheat allergy this product contains - - safflower oil - argania spinosa (argan) kernal oil - fragrance - benzyl benzoate - coumarin Just got it today so I cant speak to long term use. But its easy to apply and has a nice fruity mango vanilla scent. Bottle got marked up a lippy because its less unsightly to leave out on the table than your usual. If it works its one id glady buy again if not its a great refillable bottle.

Polishes -Sally Hansen - Complete Salon Manicure - Gilty Pleasure
SilentPerfection 12/14/2012 12:45:00 AM
Saw this on clearance at target and made an impulse buy. I dont care for gold on me but this one seem taupey enough to be passable. I do like it and it has worn well (with base and top 4 days in and nearly no tip wear) except being a foil/metallic finish it does show every little ding and being a light color makes that even worse. I like it I plan to wear it but I dont like it enough to re-purchase. While the rectangular shaft is a pain I do like the shape of the brush. Not so much the width as the curved end which makes for a nice clean cuticle line. The complete salon bit is a huge exageration I have two others in the line and without base and top they litterally washed off when I did the dishes. But to me thats part of good nail care so I dont consider it enough of a drawback to take it out of the running but i did knock it down a lippie. Bottom line if your looking for a champagne metalic and dont mind using a base/top this is a good bet :).

Polishes -Unlisted Brand - Mentality - Top Coat Holo
SilentPerfection 12/2/2012 3:28:00 AM
A fun indie polish to turn anything in your existing collection into a holographic polish. I dont wear holos enough to justify buying all the colors i want so this was a great solution for me. Doesnt grey out as much as pics ive seen of spectraflair top coat. A small brand worth checking out. *UPDATE* So far all of my swatching has gone well it works over lights and darks. It does have quite a fume so be sure to use in a well vented area, the two times I didnt it made me pretty nauseous. It goes on a tad dull and grey but clears up and comes alive once fully dry. Photo of top coat over NOPI here we kome a karoling (purple) and sinful colors last chance (green) swatch on wheel indoor natural light.

Polishes -Sinful - Crackle
SilentPerfection 12/2/2012 3:22:00 AM
Only the second crackle id ever bought but very happy with the result for 1/3 the price of my other. Dont be shy you need a thick coat to get the effect and be sure you dont need to re-dip or it wont quite come out right. Its a great way to extend a mani or "edge" up one your board with.

A great cheap one coat white. Takes longer to dry than others in the line but nothing outragous. I typically use it under a crackle.

Polishes -Sinful - Gorgeous
SilentPerfection 12/2/2012 3:12:00 AM
My first polish in the line and one i keep coming back to. I call it my mermaid polish due to its perfect shimmery auqua hue. Lasts well tip wear more than chips. Lasts 4 days no base just top or 7 - 9 with sandwhich method and i am the queen of water damage.

Polishes -Sinful - Vacation Time
SilentPerfection 12/2/2012 3:08:00 AM
A perfect pink/nude toned opaque polish when i want that clean look or i know i wont be able to do a new mani for a while as it doesnt show much when it eventually chips. Heard its a dupe for a popular opi polish and its much much cheaper.

Polishes -Sinful - Rise and Shine
SilentPerfection 12/2/2012 3:05:00 AM
Firstly YES this is a MATTE polish people if you dont like that TOP COAT IT! Ok now that is out of the way while this isnt a color i would wear on its own a ton it really rocks under black crackle. What really wins me about this color is the staying power! A whole week without noticable wear and 9 days before it chipped and i got bored enough to take it off. Absolutly unheard of for me with polish cheap or expensive! I did do a bonder sandhich with it but other finishes havent lasted as long under the same conditions. Another cute thing about this polish is that it exactly matches the opaque plastic on the listerine cool mint containers lol.
