Mascara -Clinique - Bottom Lash Mascara
rated 4 of 5

I've been using this product for well over a year. I think $10 is a bit high for the product BUT for me good mascara is hard to come by and there is nothing else I'd use over this. The wand size is perfect and the formula is great. My one dislike: The staying power is a little to be desired. By the end of the day I still have mascara at the base of my lashes and the tips have flaked off. But I love that it is SO easy to remove and no racoon eyes!! Buy this, you won't regret it!

Cleansers -Aveeno - Positively Radiant Cleansing Pads
rated 3 of 5
Sheila217 4/18/2012 10:17:00 AM

I have sensitive skin and this product is a little harsh for me. I must say that I like the concept of these pads but I would not repurchase becasue the soap is too "strong" for my skin. This is the first Aveeno cleasner I have used but I enjoy their sensitive skin mositurizer. The pads are large so cut them in half to get the most use out of them. Half a pad is more than enough for your face, neck, and behind the ears. The packaging is a bit wastful and large. I find the exfoliator side to be much to harsh for the face for daily use, but may be good once in a while. If your skin is NOT sensitive, this may be awesome for you. It removes all oil from your face and is aweome to use in the shower!

Moisturizers -Origins - VitaZing SPF 15 Energy-boosting moisturizer with Mangosteen
rated 5 of 5
Sheila217 2/2/2012 8:50:00 PM

I have nothing bad to say about this product! I am a bit curious as to why it isn't really marketed as a tinted moisturizer because in my opinion that is exactly what this is. I am bi-racial (white and black) and I'm a bit lighter than the average mixed person so my skin tone would be that of a tan white person. Haha! Just trying to be as descriptive as possible. I have acne prone skin and I have moderately oily skin. I am not a big foundation wearer and for me, this works for everyday use. On the weekends, this is the only product I use on my face and during the week for work I usually top it with a powder to prevent shine. I don't feel that this has increased my breakouts at all. It really gives warmth to my face that I love. I do think it has a bit of a dewy finish, but I don't mind it, and it’s not shiny. I've been using Vitazing for about 3 months and plan to repurchase it. I don't know if anything like it!

Polishes -OPI - Ski Teal We Drop
rated 2 of 5
Sheila217 11/26/2011 4:45:00 PM

I don't like this color! In my opinion, it is a dull greenish teal that is just pretty flat and boring. I got this after a rave review from a favorite beauty guru, but I'm not sure when I'd ever want to use this again. I can say that it's been on 7 days and the chipping is minimal with my scehe vite top coat. The pretty blue tones seen by looking at the bottle do not shine through on the nail.

Moisturizers -Philosophy - Hope in a Jar - for all skin types
rated 4 of 5
Sheila217 11/26/2011 4:35:00 PM

I am addicted! I'll be honest and say that I was not sold on this moisturizer at first. I bought the $38 sized jar after rave reviews on Sephora and found it to be so so. However, after one YEAR of using this off and on I am confident to say I've never used a better moisturizer. This whipped, light formula goes a long way. It gives me extreme moisture and just a slight bit of dewiness. I have skin that gets oily a few hours into the day and I don't feel this makes the problem worse. I prefer the texture and scent of the original Hope in Jar over the other versions. This cream has been a life saver through some extremely chapped/ dry skin battles this year due to weather. I love the clean fresh scent of it. I have acne and I pretty much always have at least one pimple on my face. I have not noticed this to increase my breakouts or make them worse. Highly recommend this product :)

Polishes -Butter London - The Old Bill
rated 4 of 5
Sheila217 11/5/2011 11:07:00 AM

I really wanted to love this polish, but I just didn't. For me, the final product came across streaky and the brush lines were noticeable on my nails, which drove me crazy. I dont use a lot of metallics so I'm thinking that may be a characteristic of metallic polishes in general but to me it left the final look a bit to be desired. The color reminds me of a shiny new penny, but slightly lighter in color. The wear was about 4-5 days with base and top coat. I wouldn't repurchase because I think there are several cheaper alternatives to this butter london color. I have to say, I prefer it on my toes vs. finger nails. It's simple and matches with everything while being girly and polished! If you love shiny metallics give this a try!

Polishes -Revlon - Facets of Fuchsia
rated 4 of 5
Sheila217 11/3/2011 2:06:00 PM

I enjoy that I'm getting my polish and glitter all in one with this Revlon polish! I like this polish, but wouldn't reach for it a lot because I'm more into neutrals. I used 3 coats for it to be opaque and I had some minor wearing on the edges on day 3. I would not pay for DL's version and was satisfied with this polish. Worth the price!

Polishes -Butter London - La Moss
rated 4 of 5
Sheila217 10/16/2011 7:34:00 PM

I am obsessed with this color. I don't have a large nail polish collection so I don't have another similar color to this one. I have been wearing strictly BL polishes for over a month and this color is a beautiful black cherry wine like color. It is so deep and sexy, but clearly not black or brown. It was a bit difficult to get off my nails and skin when removing but I think that is to be expected since its a deep red. It pains me to say this but even with a base and top coat, it began to wear at my tips within one day. I was so bummed. I love the color so I will continue to wear it but I'd look for a dupe especially since this is $14! Perfect for Fall!

Polishes -Butter London - Wallis
rated 5 of 5
Sheila217 10/5/2011 9:52:00 PM

This is such a specual polish in my opinion! I enjoy a fully opaque look...which took three coats for me. I would describe the color as a golden metallic green with dark flecks of black that kind of fill in between. Its so multidimensional and beautiful. I prefer it on my toes but the formula is so awesome. I have had the color on for 5 days and its held up great with just some weaing off at the tips. Great for fall and winter!

Polishes -Ulta - Pinata -Yada-Yada
rated 4 of 5
Sheila217 10/1/2011 9:53:00 AM

I found this polish by researching dupes for Deborah Lippman's Happy Birthday polish. I got this from Ulta for $2 in store. I love the chunky glitter and the beautiful colorful flecks. I like this polish with just one coat of glitter or 2-3 coats for a more dramatic look. I am not impressed with the packaging. The applicator handle did fall off on mine over and over too, but it stayed on during the application. In my opinion, you can't go wrong for the price and the look. I really like it! Removing it was a pain, as are most glitters. I used it on my toes over a red polish with gold shimmer. I kept it on for 2 weeks.

Polishes -Butter London - All Hail the Queen
rated 5 of 5
Sheila217 10/1/2011 9:30:00 AM

This is the second Buter London polish I've used and I'm so impressed. I've gotten compliaments on the color from friends, coworkers, even the male cashier at my grocery store. The color has a lavender undertone, with a mix of taupe and gray. My favorite characteristic is the beautiful glitter in the polish that appears like a shimmer farther away. I think it makes the polish extra special. I can't wait to wear it again. I used 3 coats for an opaque finish. It lasted about 5 days with base and top coat.

Polishes -Butter London - Tea with the Queen
rated 4 of 5
Sheila217 9/24/2011 11:20:00 AM

Tea with the queen is the first Butter London polish I have used. I believe the polish is a bit expensive, but I got this during a buy one get one free deal. I would describe the color as nude with tones of pink and taupe. I think its a beautiful natural choice of color that is feminene and classy. I used three coats, as I felt the color was not fully opaque at two coats. I am on the 4th day and my nails look just as awesome as the day I painted them. I recommend seche viete for a lovely finish. A great go to polish.
