Hair Styling Tools -Revlon - RV544 Tourmaline Ionic Hairdryer
Shedeviluptuous 7/5/2007 3:18:00 PM
Sometimes I dislike a product but can understand why other rave about it...but Im alittle shocked by how loved this blowdryer is...I dont think I've ever actually been ANGRY at a product until this piece a crap was in my posession. There are so many things I absolutely hate about this product...Everything everyone raves about this product for I had the opposite experience with - Dries your hair faster! No frizz! Ok, so after blowdrying my hair for 4 times as long as when I use my extremely old crappy conair blowdryer (which is a travel one to top it off) I ended up with a total frizz ball of hair..and guess what? IT WAS STILL DAMP. WHY? Its certainly powerful enough..it blew my hair everywhich way like a burning tornado, it should have been dry. WTH? My ends were a poofy frizzy mess..and my roots were a flat frizzy mess...mmmm, SEXY! Now, to be fair, this is my first Tourmaline blowdryer..maybe tourmalines in general don't work with my hair..I have no idea...but I still want to bash this thing against a wall repeatedly.
No!!!!!! flakey flakey flakey. I thought maybe since WnW's is so superior to any HE liquid e/l Ive ever tried (Im serious, I totally laugh at HE liquid e/l since using WnW Mega Liners) that maybe NYC's is just as good. um no.
OMG! I haven't had raccoon eyes like this in years! (Goes to show you how much Ive learned about quality MU from MUA!) I bought this b/c I was staying over someones house unexpectedly and needed mascara for the next morning (cant leave the house with atleast mascara on :P) It was super cheap (which doesnt immediately mean bad, Milani Lotta Curl is really good and cheap too!)..I was out for about 4 hours and didnt get a chance to look in a mirror...Holy Moly!! I looked a total MESS when I finally did see a mirror...black smudges all around my eyes...and im an NW5, so I basically looked like the walking dead...I was actually embarassed that I had walked around looking like that! ew. never ever again.
OMG! This scrub makes my skin feel AMAZING! Im usually not impresed by scrubs really...Ive tried quite a few and while I dont doubt that they exfoliate, they never make my skin feel much different or if it does, its only like a ten minute temporary smoothness...but WOW, the first time I used this (I tested it on my hands in the store) I was really impressed...but thought "I'm sure this softness wont last more then a few minutes"...4 hours later I still couldnt stop touching my hands LOL...I immediately bought it...Ive only been using it for 2 weeks (2x a week) so I will update on whether it breaks me out or not *crosses fingers* (My chest/back break out easily)...A word of warning - if you have extremely sensitive skin (as in products hurt/burn you easily) you may want to be careful with this...Probably TMI, but there is a part of my chest I made the mistake of putting it on and it burned alittle :( but I just keep it away from that part (you dont want to exfoliate there anyways! :P) and Ive had no other problems..
Concealers -Delux Beauty - Concealer in Snowy [DISCONTINUED]
Shedeviluptuous 11/22/2006 2:58:00 PM
Oh dear, unfortunately this is the PERFECT color match for me (NW10 - but not really pink toned, just blue toned)..but its one of the most cakey concealers I have ever used...I really wanted to LOVE it...but no luck. :(
Lip Liners -NYX - Jumbo Lip Pencil - Soft Fuschia 721
Shedeviluptuous 11/3/2006 8:27:00 PM
I have no idea what the previous reviewer is talking about...this is a peachy/rose color not soft fuschia or lilac at all..its not my color BUT the texture is amazing..I will definitely be buying these in other colors!
Cleansers -C.O. Bigelow - Gentle Oil Absorbing Clay Cleanser
Shedeviluptuous 10/26/2006 7:23:00 PM
Oh dear...this burns like whoa. I have slightly sensitive skin and I dont mind alittle sting once in a while...but this was UNBEARABLE. never ever again.
Eyeliner -Wet 'n' Wild - Mega Liner Liquid Eyeliner
Shedeviluptuous 5/18/2006 5:57:00 AM
This is a great eyeliner for the price!
PROS: The black is PITCH BLACK (yay!), Great staying power - except for sometimes near the inner corners it will wear off and give you those black eye boogers, so basically this is my winged out HG, I usually use MAC Blacktrack as my e/l then I use this to do the wings and its perfect!
CONS: The occasional black eye booger (see above), and the brush is terrible!
I would definitely repurchase this, for the price you cant go wrong!
Meh...this is OK but nothing spectacular.
PROS: I love the felt tip, its so much better to work with then most liquid e/l brushes are. Decent lasting powder, but not great.
CONS: It takes about 3 layers of this stuff to make it black enough for my liking (when an e/l says black I expect BLACK!, none of this off-black crap) I will use it on occasion but wih all the e/l's out there to try, I will never repurchase. If you really want a GREAT liquid eyeliner..get mark. on the edge, its fantastic.
Lip Gloss -Sally Hansen - Diamond Lip Treatment in Baguette Beige
Shedeviluptuous 4/7/2006 12:12:00 AM
At first I HATED this lipgloss..it looked white and icky..so I tossed it to the side...one night months later I was sitting at my computer and my lips were painfully chapped..and while yes lip balm would have been a better answer, I grabbed this from right next to my computer (where it had been since the day I bought it) and just put a tiny bit on to ease the dryness...well, a few minutes later I looked in the mirror expecting to see gross whiteness and what i saw was GORGEOUS! It was basically clear but just gave my lips this beautiful glowiness! So the trick with this is the less the better..but alittle swipe and rub it in...subtle but looks soooo pretty! the only reason it didnt get 5 lippies is because the smell can really get to me..i like sweel vanilla-like smells but this is alittle *too* sweet..

Eye Shadow -Pure Luxe Cosmetics - Liner Ultimate in Plummy
Shedeviluptuous 3/15/2006 7:17:00 PM
If this color looked the way it does on the website, it would be PERFECT. but its much more browned purple on my lids..its still a very pretty purple for anyones collection..just not what i thought it was going to be :(
Eye Shadow -Pure Luxe Cosmetics - Shadow Liner in Chocolate Grapes
Shedeviluptuous 3/15/2006 7:12:00 PM
This is pretty, but not a shadow I see myself wearing often..on me, it comes out a plummy bronze..not really a plummy brown which is what I was more hoping for..but its still a gorgeous color from an awesome company!
LOVE this stuff! I've tried so many foundation primers and none of them do anything for me...while this doesn't give me a "soft focus" look or anything like that..it DOES make my skin super smooth feeling..and it smooths out any lines, pores, or dry spots I have making foundation do on flawlessly...I ordered a second one, but this time I got the cream What Red Eraser? can't wait to try that one as well!
Powder -Pure Luxe Cosmetics - Mineral Powder Foundation
Shedeviluptuous 3/15/2006 5:41:00 PM
This is my first attempt at mineral foundation..and I must say I'm surprised I like this so much! I'm definitely not a powder girl..I have combo skin and every powder I have tried just looks wrong me on..but this stuff looks really natural! Its a sheer coverage but you can build it up by layering..I can get atleast to a medium coverage while still looking, again, really natural..I also wear it over the cream line eraser so that might help it go on so smoothly as well. I ordered samples of 3 different colors because I wasn't sure which one would work..I'm very pale but cool toned..Ivory was alittle too light (which is shocking..most foundation are NEVER too light on me) and alittle too yellow...creamy natural was the right shade but still alittle yellow..and babyface was PERFECT! (I could still definitely wear creamy natural with no problems, i'll probably still use the sample, but I'll definitely be buying a full size babyface foundation soon!
