I usually have pretty good, healthy hair -- but this turned my hair to straw. It took several days of heavy-duty conditioning to bring my hair back to normal. I've never used a hair product so destructive to my hair, and that includes hair dyes and 1960's permanents!!!
This is a lovely color blush and I had great hopes for it. It looked lovely when I tried it on at Ulta. But when I got it home, I realized it turns more peach than pink, and there's so much glitter I felt like Tinkerbell. A 57-year-old Tinkerbell is NOT a pretty sight! I'm sure there are a lot of people out there who have found this to be an excellent blush, but unfortunately, I'm not one of them.
It looked like a navy blue in the store, purple when I got home -- but when I put it on, it was so dark as to be almost black which was not what I was looking for. I'm sure it works for other people, and the quality is excellent (as are most OPI products) but I kind of felt misled about the color.
This is a little pricey for a drugstore brand, but I am very impressed with the balance of coverage and creaminess. I'm older with a lot of fine lines around my eyes. Concealers either look like spackle or melt off so soon as to be useless. This has a nice in between texture and after letting it dry, it stays on. I'm using the concealer, not the corrector, by the way. I like the packaging -- the pot seems to allow for a creamier product that you'd find in a stick, and there's no extra boxing or wrapping, which always seems like such a waste.
This used to be my go-to mascara; it was then "improved" and the formula changed. Then L'Oreal remarketed the "original" Voluminous mascara. The new "old" formula is much goopier and harder to apply without spattering around my eyelids. I'm now looking for a mascara that makes my eyelashes look even half as good as my old faithful but so far I haven't been successful. I hate it when they IMPROVE things!!!
I love this foundation and have been wearing it for almost a year now -- and I've never been so loyal to a foundation before. I use fairly light, I think, and have tried both the matte and the semi-glo. I prefer the latter. The price is very good, particularly compared to other products in the same category (mineral powder foundations). The variety of shades is wonderful and you can also sample the colors first to see what is the best match for you. It does not irritate -- in fact, it feels kind of soothing -- my sensitive, rosacea-prone skin. As with all foundations, at some point in the day, it requires some touch-up -- either just smoothing over or maybe a reapplications (I'd like to try oil blotting tissues but haven't had time). But it lasts amazingly well for a powder foundation. I heartily recommend this particular brand for this particular product. It seems to me to be the best combination of price, quality and choices.
After years of searching, I've finally found a mascara to replace the old L'Oreal Voluminous (pre-"improved"). It makes my lashes look really lush and long, and the lashes themselves have actually thinned over the last few years. It doesn't smudge any more or less than any other mascara (I use non-waterproof), it's inexpensive and it works!!! I love this mascara!
