Moisturizers -Shiseido - Future Solution Total Revitalizing Cream

Gah. I got this as a sample an while my skin feels kinda spongey and soft (okay, maybe sticky) after putting it on... like all Shiseido products it just kind of sits on top of my skin. No absorbtion. That can't be right. But the worst part is the scent. My GOD. It is overwhelming. Such heavy, soapy perfume. This CAN'T be good for you. Seriously. I threw out the rest of the sample tube. UGH.

HARSH. I got this as a sample and while a little bit goes a long way... damn. Don't get it anywhere near your eyes or nasal passages. It burns! Aye dios mio!

Treatments (Eye) -Alba Botanica - Green Tea Eye Gel

Again, I wish there was a maybe option for "would you buy this again". It's pricey but it does seem to tighten up the skin around the eyes a bit. I like it, but is it worth it..? I'm not sure. I don't notice a real moisturizing affect that others do, but it's still nice. Can't help but wonder if just straight aloe vera would do the same, though.

Cleansers -Alba Botanica - Hawaiian Pineapple Enzyme Facial Cleanser

I wish there was a "maybe" option for "would you buy this product again" because I'm kind of on the fence about it. It's a good basic cleanser and I like the pump packaging but it can be drying on the wrong skin type. The scent is strong and it takes a little getting used to but after a few days of use it's refreshing and rejuvinating. I also had to adjust how much of it I used.. a little goes a long way with this. Just pump a little into your hand and then add water and work into a lather and it's great. Definitely keep it out of your eyes, though, or it can be painful.

Moisturizers -Alba Botanica - Jasmine and Vitamin E Moisture Cream
rated 5 of 5

It's a little expensive for what it is (I think I paid around $15) but I am SO in love with the way this cream smells and feels. It's deliciously rich without being greasy, it absorbs easily into the skin and the scent is heavenly. So soothing and relaxing, it's perfect before bed. I pretty much like this whole product line and will definitely repurchase.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Lash Architect Mascara [DISCONTINUED]

Terrible mascara. I bought it because it was on sale and it does absolutely nothing for me. Makes my lashes stick straight out even when using a lash curler and there is absolutely no difference in length, volume or anything. Will not repurchase.

Moisturizers -Alba Botanica - Hawaiian Aloe & Green Tea Oil Free Moisturizer
rated 4 of 5

I was looking for a light moisturizer to alternate with my heavier stuff (Burts Bees carrot nutritive and evening primrose) which I can't use very often. This definitely fits the bill, it's light and easily absorbed and I like the natural ingredients. I may try their jasmine night cream next, since I prefer the more calming scent and it seems just a tad creamier for night use. This one is great for day, too, but has no sunscreen so that's unfortunate. Either way, I'm liking it.

Skincare - Face -Arbonne - NutriminC RE9 Entire line [DISCONTINUED]

A coworker of mine just recently started selling these products as a side business. I like her so I said sure, I would try the product line over the weekend. Well, after reading some of the reviews here I did a patch test on my arm just now of all 6 products in the regimen. I am *already* experiencing stinging irritation almost everywhere that I put the different products but especially on the back of my hand which is where the Night Creme went. I don't really have problems with irritation from your average products, either, so this is pretty surprising. I won't be using this product on my face anytime soon. Also, the day moisturizer only as SPF 8, which is pretty worthless, IMO.

Cleansers -Cetaphil - Daily Facial Cleanser (Normal to Oily Skin)
rated 2 of 5
Shannalee 5/12/2005 5:02:00 PM

It cleans very well but I find it too irritating, especially around my eyes, and my skin isn't even that sensitive. It's just a mild stinging type of sensation but it's really annoying. Leaves me a little dry too. Once I use up the small bottle I bought to try, I'm on to something else that's more gentle.

Styling Products -TiGi - Catwalk Root Boost

Easy to use, smells good and all.. but it doesn't really do anything for me. My hair is long and weighty. Maybe shorter hair girls would benefit?

Styling Products -KMS California - Curl-Up Curling Balm
rated 1 of 5
Shannalee 5/12/2005 2:26:00 AM

I've had terrible luck with all of the KMS curl line. Can't stand any of them for no other reason than they just don't work for me. They're either too thick, too drying, or too heavy. This one is no exception. Gloppy gloppy gloppy and doesn't distribute through the hair evenly at all.

Hair -TiGi - Up-Tight
rated 1 of 5
Shannalee 5/12/2005 2:20:00 AM

I bought this twice and it just seemed to dry out my (fine, naturally curly, long) hair, which I thought was odd. With other products or by itself, same dry weird feeling. I gave up on it.

Styling Products -TiGi - Bedhead Superstar
rated 3 of 5
Shannalee 5/12/2005 2:14:00 AM

This works well for me (long, curly, fine hair) when paired with Ego Boost and my diffuser. I don't need much of it either. Just a bit, lightly smoothed over my hair works great.

Styling Products -TiGi - Ego Boost
rated 5 of 5
Shannalee 5/12/2005 2:10:00 AM

Can't live without this one. I have long, fine, naturally curly hair and this smoothes everything out nicely in the manner of a light leave in conditioner instead of those clear anti-frizzers (frizz ease, girltoys, etc) which tend to leave my hair oily looking. I love the easy pump packaging, too, except when it gets down to the last bit and then I have to turn it upside down and mess with it to get the last of the product out. Kind of a pain in the ass. Nevertheless, I will repurchase again and again. I use this daily.

Styling Products -TiGi - Bedhead Small Talk
rated 3 of 5

Not a product I use everyday but it's in my rotation. I have naturally curly, long hair and this is sticky and thick so I can only use a little. I love the candy sweet smell and as long as I ony use a little it's okay, but too much and you've got sticky-head, which is not a good thing. BedHead Ego Boost and Superstar, along with my trusty diffuser, are better products for me.
