Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - 8-pan Palette "Comfort Zone"
rated 4 of 5

Well it's funny the hype about these new palettes because I wasn't exactly hoping to find this palette. It found me! I was looking at the wet n wild section hoping to find the 6 pans people have been raving about (I'm late) and I didn't see them. Never fear! I did find them on the ebay. Anyway, I saw this and the Petal Pusher and I was like OMG stunning! However, this 8 pan palette does have a drawback. It is kinda powder-y and does create a LOT of fallout. It's workable and for the color pay-off, selection of shades, and cost it definitely outweighs the bad. The good things about this palette is I did notice a long wear time with a primer which I liked. Didn't seem to crease either. They are highly pigmented, but I do find that the darker shades you can go very light while the lighter ones you do have to work with a bit more. Just depends on if you have a heavy hand or not. I tend to be more heavy handed. I would say that some of these shades could be found easily in a Cover Girl/Maybelline trio or quad and I know there are supposed MAC dupes, but there are certain shades I haven't seen in drugstores such as the shade in the bottom right hand corner. I think that overall for Wet n wild this palette is great. On the big scheme of eyeshadow? Just okay.

Lipstick -Rimmel - Moisture Renew - Dreamy
rated 5 of 5
Sh3D3vil84 3/29/2010 12:46:00 AM

I love this lipstick!! Dreamy is like a perfect wearable shade for everything. You can look classy for an interview or vamp it up for night time. It's a light frosty mauve-taupe with gold shimmer. I pair it with the Exaggerate Addiction lip liner then put Vinyl Bronze-Bronze Ambition over the top and it's so gorgeous. My lips always look fuller with a frost. I do believe any skin tone can wear this since it's pretty adaptable because it's pretty sheer. It does smell a little like play-doh but it's moisturizing and doesn't feel like a lipstick is on. It also stays on a long time without having to reapply. I love it.

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast
rated 4 of 5
Sh3D3vil84 3/26/2010 8:17:00 AM

This is the mascara I've been using for awhile now. I like it because it gives me length but doesn't help too much with the thickness. It does seem that I have to layer it on a bit. However, when I am finished my lashes look full and long. It dries out quickly and I don't pump the wand but once into the tube. It's a little clumpy but not too bad. The wand is a bit thick and it's hard to get the outsides of my lashes easily. Overall I'd say it's one of the better mascaras I've tried. It doesn't flake and it stays put pretty well. I bought another tube of it the other day mainly because I'm not sure if I love it or not. But I do think that it should be given a try because the finished product can look amazing. Just takes a little bit of effort.

Conditioner -It's a 10 - Miracle Daily Conditioner
rated 5 of 5
Sh3D3vil84 3/26/2010 7:32:00 AM

BEST EVER! Hands down! This is the HG ladies and gentlemen! I can't ever go back to my regular conditioner. First off my hair is very thick coarse curly hair. Before it was dry and looked just plain awful. I use this every time I condition now and my hair seriously looks amazing. Like magazine amazing. Kinda like Debra Messing hair when my hair used to be like a tight kinky curl. I also blow dry and flat iron my hair too. This is the only product that gave my hair volume but was stick straight and soft. I cannot stress enough how amazing this product is. It's a little pricey being $20 a bottle but it's $20 well spent. I use less product and can run my fingers through my hair for the first time in my LIFE. I only use a quarter size pump so it's pretty economical too. I recommend it to everyone especially curly girls. My hair is also colored for the first time and it works beautifully. Just try it!

Loose Powders -E.L.F. - Studio High Definition Powder
rated 5 of 5
Sh3D3vil84 3/15/2010 12:14:00 PM

This powder is awesome! It stays put and really makes my skin look matte and pore-less! The idea with this powder is not to sweep it across the face with a brush but pat it with the puff in a fast motion. That will get you the most coverage and it won't appear blotchy. I will most definitely repurchase because it's inexpensive and one of the best powders I've ever used. Also if you don't want a flat look with this try putting some shimmer highlight right under your eyes on the cheekbone for an added effect!

Lipstick -Rimmel - Lasting Finish - Airy Fairy
rated 3 of 5
Sh3D3vil84 3/2/2010 11:33:00 PM

Airy Fairy is a light shimmery pink and it can come off looking a little toward the sheer hot pink zone depending on skin tone. I think it's okay to maybe wear with a lip liner or something to kinda tone it down. It's definitely not for the older crowd. I could see it on a younger girl about 15-16. It is a bit drying and I would definitely moisturize first thing. Wears off quickly but not horrible. Overall I think it's okay but not my first choice by far.

Eyeliner -Urban Decay - 24-7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Zero
rated 2 of 5
Sh3D3vil84 3/1/2010 7:06:00 AM

I had heard so many great things about this liner that I went out to buy it thinking I had found the HG of eyeliners. I was dead wrong. In fact, I've had drugstore liners that have lasted longer with better pigment. It doesn't last longer than an hour without smudging or making me look like a raccoon and I always use a primer. This product is a waste of money. I was truly disappointed.

Eyeliner -Revlon - Colorstay Eyeliner
rated 4 of 5
Sh3D3vil84 1/26/2010 5:46:00 PM

This is a pretty good eye pencil. I like how it's a pretty dark black line and stays on the upper lid well. I don't think it stays well on the waterline, but it is definitely the best drugstore eyeliner I've used. I don't like the sharpening system on it though. But that's what you get when you buy a crank up eyeliner instead of pencil. But overall a really good product. I'd recommend it for a cheap alternative.

Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Original (UDPP)
rated 5 of 5
Sh3D3vil84 1/18/2010 3:29:00 AM

Ok so UDPP is a great product. After applying it makes your shadows appear vibrant and it really does help with staying power for at least 8-10 hrs. However, the bottle is so poorly shaped that you have to cut the bottle open to reveal tons more product. Which is a hassle, but I do think it's worth it. It's kind of humid where I am at now. I sweat a bit and it stays. I've never tried L'Oreal Decrease which some people say is a pretty good cheap alternative, but after using this I don't think I could ever go back to not using it. Definitely worth the investment.

Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand - Extra Virgin Olive Oil
rated 1 of 5
Sh3D3vil84 1/15/2010 11:45:00 PM

I have a love/hate relationship with evoo. I LOVE putting a quarter sized dollop on my really thick, curly hair after a shower and it really works miracles. Keeping my hair soft and the ends not dull. I HATE it on my face as a scrub or moisturizer. It caused me to break out in cystic acne all around my chin area and it took me a month to get rid of. NEVER AGAIN! However, it's a pretty good eye make up remover. I'm just insanely careful how I do it so it doesn't get on my cheek area.

Treatments -Unlisted Brand - I Skin Pore Perfecting System
rated 5 of 5
Sh3D3vil84 12/27/2009 6:30:00 PM

I am in love with this product. I'm 25 y.o. and recently started getting cystic acne around my jaw and chin. This is clearing it up just using it once a day! My skin feels so fresh and smooth. I would recommend it to anyone as it works great on my sensitive fair skin. It comes with a cleanser that I actually like. So I am going to buy more of that too when it runs out. This is a great dupe for the clarisonic. The brush head doesn't spin but it vibrates. It's a great alternative to spending $200-$300.

Crème -Graftobian - High-Definition Glamour Color Creme Foundation
rated 5 of 5
Sh3D3vil84 12/19/2009 4:45:00 PM

I cannot say enough about this foundation. I've tried countless brands of foundation that never actually live up to what they are promising. This stuff is amazing. It's extremely pigmented and leaves your face absolutely matte. I have combo/oily skin with mild acne. This foundation covers it all. I don't even need concealer anymore!! It has a tendency to bring out flakies so you do have to moisturize and exfoliate but it's so worth it. Also this doesn't feel like you have foundation on. I couldn't even tell I was wearing it. It looks amazing in photos. This foundation doesn't make me break out either. Also for $10 you cannot beat the price. I don't think I could ever go back to a different brand after this!

Eyeliner -Wet 'n' Wild - Mega Eyes Creme Eyeliner - Black
rated 3 of 5
Sh3D3vil84 12/14/2009 3:55:00 PM

I really wanted to fall in love with this product. After all it is inexpensive and easily accessible at my local drugstore. It's a pretty good liner in that it stays on but that's also the problem too! It doesn't budge when it has set so good luck trying to get it off. I use EVOO to get it off my lids because nothing else works. You have to have an oil based makeup remover for this one. Also don't make any mistakes because it isn't fixable. It seems pretty dry in the pot too. So I'm guessing it dries out pretty quickly as well. It's pretty good on the waterline though and I have watery eyes/oily lids. Overall it's cheap and workable under the right conditions. But I just don't love it, ya know?
