Argh! I love this brand, and their other cosmetics are great, but I detest the glosses. Sticky and made of a great deal of mineral oil, they lack colour and durability. I have two colours, Sugar, a taupe nude, and some lavender one that I am not getting up to check the name of, and I wish I hadn't bothered. While they aren't overly sticky, the gloss dries my skin, the colour is non-existant after 10 minutes. On the other hand, for a company that puts out great foundaton, lipstick, eye shadow, and liners, that's not too bad.
I found this brand a few years ago, and in my opinion, it's one of the best drugstore brands, though hard to find in retail stores. On the west coast, Fred Meyer and Longs carry it. My favourite eye shadow is Nocturne, which is a deep, matte black that stays put fairly well and applies smoothly.
Received this in a RAOK, and though I tend to shun commercial masks, I really like this. It has enough of a scrub, but it's not gritty, nor does it harden to a "Sahara Desert" feeling. Left my face looking & feeling clean without the tight dry effect.
Love this! It's not hard as a rock, and fills in my eyebrows quite well (no snickers, please--I've got blonde/light brown brows with grey showing before age 30).
The colour is pretty, the package is nice, however, I would not buy it again because it took me a great deal of effort to get this colour to apply beyond a pale sky blue. Yes, I used it dry, then tried wet, and I am well-versed in eye shadow application, but I like the colours to apply at least somewhat close to the way they look in the packaging. But, for the money, it's not bad at all. I've had some crappy results from high-end products, so at least you're not out much if you don't like a $3 eye shadow.
Goopy! Really, it's a mess. The brush applicator is a pain, and the gloss bleeds (I have Haute Voltage). It's like applying tar to your lips and somehow trying to be comfortable when you know your lips are sticking together. The colour is nice, but that's all I can give it. Oh, it's also the only lip gloss I've ever had that leaked out the top. But hey, it's great for photos if you won't be talking or moving much. The colour doesn't stay put very well.
Colour: African Queen Oh boy, was THIS ever made for queens! Only half-joking, as I do enjoy bright lip colour from time to time (I may be a gay male but no queen!), and this is the best one I have of all brands. This shade is bright pink, but not disgustingly so, since it has a lovely blue sheen. It stays put for a long time and tastes like strawberry banana.
Wonderful deep colour, and like the other NYX glosses I own, it smells nice and not like plastic. The colour stays put in this non-sticky gloss, but my only complaint was that the rich, deep colour bled around the edges. Same with Maroon, but the lighter/brighter shades don't do this.
