BB Cream -Physicians Formula - Super BB Cream
rated 2 of 5
Setiva123 1/7/2013 4:30:00 PM

I really wanted to love this since the Missha BB Cream is harder to get and more expensive. I also love PF Organic Wear Tinted Moisturizer. This is a very pasty, thick product. I purchsed the light/medium shade and discovered although it was an ok color match (I'm NC 25) it sat on top of my skin and was difficult to spread. It appears to accentuate my lines and make my skin look dryer??? The finish is not really matte but more just cakey and weird. It did cover moderately but Missha does better. I bought the Super BB concealer too which I will review later but also was unimpressed with. So...I'm bummed and this will go in my swap list soon. One more BB cream for the junk pile. I have tried many including: Missha Skin 79 Etude House MAC Maybelliene Cover Girl LeoBon L'Oreal Rimmel Garnier Dr Brandt I must say that the Missha Perfect Cover is still winning, I just reordered last week. The LeoBon is a close second followed by Lancome Renergie Eclat Multi Lift which is not marketed as a BB cream but is amazing and excellent, just way too expensive!

Cleansers -Unlisted Brand - Infinite Skin-Eternal Cleanser-Anti-Aging Enhancement Cleanser
rated 4 of 5

This is a glycolic cleanser I purchased on Amazon after extensive research looking for a glycolic cleanser that actually had glycolic acid at the top of the ingredient list. The second ingredient after water in theis cleanser is glycolic acid. It stings a bit when applied to damp skin but does a wonderful job of keeping your skin looking fresh and smoothing out fine lines. I am on my second bottle of this, I use it daily and have had no problems with breakouts or irritation. If you are looking for a gentle glycolic cleanser that actually does help with fine lines and exfoiliation, this is the one!

BB Cream -Maybelline - Dream Fresh 8-in-1 BB Cream
rated 2 of 5
Setiva123 7/24/2012 6:15:00 PM

I bought this in the darkest shade to mix with my Skin 79 BB cream that is too light for me. I like the dewey finish it gives the skin but since mixing it with my Skin 79 I have experienced some bumps on my face and a blackhead or two that I never had before. Bummer, because as drugstore BB Creams go (ive tried Garnier, L'Oreal, Cover Girl) this one gives the nicest, dewiest finish and provides decent coverage for the price. I would not buy again as I think it may be responsible for my sporadic breakouts :(

BB Cream -Skin79 - Absolute Total BB Cream
rated 4 of 5
Setiva123 7/24/2012 6:10:00 PM

Received this in a beautiful swap from a lovely Mua'er. This gives a lovely, dewy finish and great coverage. The only problem is that it is much too light for me. I purchased a cheap Maybeline BB Cream in the darkest shade they had to mix with this which seemed to work out well enough that I can wear it. I wish it came in more shades, this and the Missha Pefect Cover are my favorites but the Missha has more shades. I recomment this if you want great coverage and a beautuful finish to your skin with no breakouts. Just make sure you have a backup if you love it because you cannot tell when it's empty!

Lipstick -Giorgio Armani - Rouge d'Armani 400
rated 2 of 5
Setiva123 7/10/2012 8:12:00 PM

I saw all the great reviews and bought this lipstick. I have been wearing only red lipstick every day for about 20 years. I am sad to say that being a hoarder of red lipsticks I have tried many, many different brands and this one just did not cut it. The color is beautiful but is does not wear well for me, it wears off in the middle and crusts around the inside of my lips :( I wanted to like this but I get better staying power and color from Flirt and Revlon for a lot less money.

Lipstick -Flirt - High Wattage Intense and Creamy LipColor
rated 5 of 5
Setiva123 7/10/2012 8:05:00 PM

Dare I even say I love this? Could it be true? I have been through so many reds (MAC Ruby Woo, MAC Red, Armani, etc etc) since Revlon discontinued my Ripened Red. So...I was at Khols with a gift card looking at their Flirt Cosmetics and noticed this red color called "Wicked" and I swatched it on my hand and walked around for a while. I figured what the heck so I paid the $12.50 and tried it on. I usually hate creamy lipcolors but this was so smooth and fabulous on the lips I was surprised at how it lasted. Hours later I'm left with a pretty red stain and I am surprised and amazed I only paid $12 for this. This is the closest thing to Lancome Matte Ruby which was discontinued long ago and I never found a replacement for. This doesn't seem to wear off in the middle and leave that ugly "ring" or anything. Love this, it's a perfect true red.

Mascara -Lancome - Hypnose Doll Lashes
rated 2 of 5
Setiva123 7/10/2012 7:56:00 PM

Ugh! Bummer. What happened Lancome? Definicils used to be my favorite, then that just seemed to stop doing it for me. This didn't give me anything. No volume, no "doll lashes" no length. Just lashes that stuck out straight and were not remarkable. The brush is terrible.

Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express The Mega Plush
rated 3 of 5
Setiva123 7/10/2012 7:52:00 PM

Pros: Great color-blackest black Does not clump Great shaped brush, fans out lashes nicely Smooth formula Cons: Brush is not stable, but flexible which make it hard to curl lashes Didn't notice much volume without several coats, then still....meh After a few hours what little curl there may have been is gone :( Still sticking with WNW Mega Wink and Laura Mercier

Mascara -Laura Mercier - Full Blown Volume Lash Building Mascara
rated 4 of 5
Setiva123 7/9/2012 1:43:00 AM

I was surprised I liked this so much. It actually makes me look like I have eyelashes! I have tried them all drugstore and expensive high-end and I am addicted to Wet N Wild's Mega Wink. This mascara is better I must admit, but loses one lippie because the WNW is only $3. It gave me length, volume and definition without being clumpy. Great product, will splurge when finds allow and buy when I run out of WNW.

Scrubs -Unlisted Brand - Spongeables-Pedi-Scrub Foot Buffer Lavender Tea Tree Oil
rated 5 of 5
Setiva123 5/13/2012 2:33:00 PM

For less than $5 you cant beat this! Works great and is made for use on feet but I use it on my whole body to exfoiliate (does an amazing job) and is much cheaper to shave your legs with then expensive shave gels. Works well for massaging thighs and areas with cellulite prior to applying lotions creams etc. My skin is as soft as I've ever had it. it does not appear to have any more sulfates than regular body washes and doesn;t bother my skin at all They these for the body too and a whole website for Spongeables but I love this this scrubbly little wonder. Will repurchase!

Moisturizers -Lancome - Rénergie Éclat Multi-Lift
rated 4 of 5
Setiva123 5/1/2012 4:57:00 AM

I had been searching for a BB cream/tinted moisturizer without an SPF to wear at night. What a hassle searching for such a thing. Surely I cannot be the only one alive that wants a tinted night cream product to wear to bed and not scare off the husband. Enter REnergie Éclat Multi Lift. Price is $75 which is difficult to swallow, the pump is not the greatest, sometimes takes a few times to get the product out. As for the lifting...been using it for a couple of weeks now only at night ( using Missha BB cream for day) and I can't say that I have noticed any lifting or firming yet. What I have noticed is a beautiful finish to my skin. Perfect color match ( I have number one, think there is only two shades ?) the finish is very luminous without being greasy, the coverage is pretty darn good for it not being a foundation. I would wear this under makeup during the day if not for the price tag. My skin looks amazing with this on and not at all like I'm wearing a tinted product. This is my indulgence, it's sad that I had to pay $75 to get myself to wash my face at night but whatever it takes! I look forward to taking off my makeup and using this. Get a sample from the Lancôme counter and see what you think, if it does indeed lift and firm after several weeks I will be a customer for life. Oh I almost forgot...the scent is not very Lancôme-ish....it's very pleasant but almost sweet and confection like not a typical Lancôme scent. Whatever it is, I have fallen in love....hopefully they will keep making this lovely product.

Eyeliner -Unlisted Brand - Fran Wilson Cake Eyeliner
rated 3 of 5
Setiva123 4/30/2012 4:04:00 PM

I really like this liner. I use only cake liners, (with the exception of Maybelline's waterproof Ultraliner which is great but can flake a bit) and after years and years of using Clinique's it seems like suddenly the formula is different and it just wasn't doing the job anymore. Enter Fran Wilson, saw the reviews on here and decided to give it a try. For the price, you get a decent amount of product and the pigment is very black the way I like it. I use my own brush and plain water and am able to get a smooth, dark line the first time around no problem. The product is also buildable and you can intensify it by adding less water and reapplying. Staying power was very good, no smearing, flaking or smudging. I fell asleep with this liner on and instead of being a smudgy mess in the AM, it had simply faded away uniformly which was great. I would recommend this to others who like cake liners, it's not quite HG yet.....but who knows. I have tried many and this one in my opinion beats the Kryolan cake liner hands down. My next try will be Ben Nye and if he doesn't deliver then I am sticking with Fran! ***Edit Went back to using my Maybelline Ultra Liner as this just wasn't being consistent for me. Its not bad, just ok. Sometimes I got a great, smooth line. Others times not. Tried different brushes and liner sealers and I am still sticking with the Ultra Liner as I can get a smooth, deep line half asleep without much effort.I would buy this again if they disco'd my Maybelline but still for my HG cake liner and have ordered the Ben Nye. We'll see!

Concealers -Victoria's Secret - VS Pro Camouflage FX Concealer Palette
rated 2 of 5
Setiva123 4/27/2012 5:24:00 PM

I really wanted to like this! Maybe I don't have any patience to work with this but after using twice, that is enough for me to decide I don't like it. First, the consistency is very waxy and not easily blendable even with heat and the use of eye creams. I used a brush first then a sponge then a brush onto my hand to try to emulsify it and still just difficult to spread. Second, it creases even with the use of my Benefit Stay Don't Stray which works for most of my other concealers to keep it from creasing. It also accentuates my lines. Third, it stinks! I can still smell it right now. I'm not picky with scents but it smells like rancid olive oil to me and I just can't take it. The shades are okay, with the exception of the peach corrector which is so orangy I think it will not work for a lot of people. The convenience is great too, I just wish this could have been an HG for me at $18 but sadly it is not :( On to the next one!

Eye Primer -BeneFit Cosmetics - Stay Don't Stray
rated 4 of 5
Setiva123 4/26/2012 9:40:00 PM

I really like this. I purchased it as a primer for my concealer but use it for lids as well. I use this everyday and it really helps my concealer stay put over all the foundation and eye cream I put on underneath. It has helped keep my bluish/purple circles from peeking out as much by the afternoon. There is a bit of a tint to it which helps the concealing factor as well. After putting on my many serums and moisturizers I pump some of this out on the back of my hand, use a sponge to dab into it and press it into the skin underneath my eyes gently. After about a minute I do the same with my current concealer-of-the-month and presto! much more staying power than before. I do agree the pump stinks! Too much product comes out so I do have to be careful with that. All in all, I would repurchase this as it has become a staple for my concealing routine.

Shampoo -TiGi - Catwalk Dry Shampoo
rated 5 of 5
Setiva123 4/25/2012 10:24:00 PM

This is the most amazing product ever! I have tried other dry shampoos and they either smell too fruity or leave a powdery residue on the hair. I was so pleased to find out that this has 25% less powder than their Rockaholic Dry Shampoo so it's better for normal to dry and dark hair. Well that's me! The smell is amazing and everyone always asks me what I have in my hair. If used properly, it gets rid of oil and leaves behind, fresh smelling, clean hair. The bonus is it also will act as a root boost on my dry hair if it's looking flat. Just spray a bit at root, rub in and go! If you want shine after with no oily residue the Tigi Dry Conditioner is the best complement to this product. Who needs shampoo!? I think the reviewer below should have used The Rockaholic Dry Shampoo which is better for more oily or very dirty hair. I am on my third can and it's working perfectly. I think someone was using the can while she wasn't looking!
