Toners -Neutrogena - Rapid Clear 2-in-1 Fight & Fade Toner

This is my HG toner. As long as I use this, it does not matter too much what I cleanse my face with - it keeps my acne at bay. It does not completely prevent pimples but my post-acne redness and pimples go away much faster than without this product. I have purchased 4-5 bottles of this already and it is part of my daily routine now. I used to struggle with controlling my breakouts and tried anything and everything to fix the problem. After finding this product, I no longer have issues and I've never been happier with my skin.
This is a great foundation! I use this on nights that I want my skin to look extra-perfect. I apply this and then the dream matte powder on top and my skin looks flawless. I have oily skin but it does not exacerbate the oiliness as long as I use a powder. I have already repurchased this 2 times. It is cheap and goes on smoothly and feels lovely.

I LOVE this product. I have repurchased it 5+ times already. It has light to medium coverage and does an excellent job controlling my oily skin for most of the day. All I do is apply this and a bit of concealer on my acne/scars and I am set.

Simple, cheap, and very effective!
This TM was a waste of money. It would always leave a sheen on my face after application, and it was not that healthy "glow" that I can usually tolerate from other products. Since I have naturally oily skin, I would look like I had just dipped my face in a vat of oil an hour or two after putting it on.. when it usually happens later in the day. Setting it with powder right after applying didn't help very much either. After a few weeks of not using it, I decided to give it another try. At midday, I had a friend ask me why my face was more shiny than usual! After that incident, I knew this product had to go. I also suspect it helped cause some minor breakouts on my face. I don't expect this to cover much since it's a TM, but it really didn't cover anything or even lessen my redness a little. And to top it off, it easily transferred onto anything that touched my face. Definitely won't repurchase this item.
Scrubs -Clean & Clear - Deep Action Exfoliating Scrub - Oil-Free

This is a decent cleanser/scrub. I can't really say it did anything good or bad to my skin. I did not break out any more than usual using this product, but it did not stop me from getting the occasional pimple. I honestly don't think it exfoliated very much at all, but it is gentle enough that I was able to use it day and night without my face feeling overly dry or irritated. Overall, I wouldn't mind repurchasing this product.
I use this as a spot treatment for acne. Since I developed an allergy to benzoyl peroxide, I've been trying to find another way to spot treat on pimples. I saturate a Q-tip in isopropyl alcohol and rub it onto the pimple and sometimes hold the Q-tip on it for 10 seconds. This does a good job at reducing inflammation and killing bacteria, especially after I've been picking at them (horrible habit of mine -_-). I generally do it after washing my face. It does not irritate or excessively dry out the areas I spot treat. I'm still a bit iffy about rubbing my whole face with alcohol because it will make the dry parts on my skin worse. Buy the 70% isopropyl rubbing alcohol, not the 91%. The 70% concentration is the most effective against killing bacteria, anything higher in concentration loses its efficacy as an antibacterial. Use 91% alcohol to clean tables (since it evaporates quickly), not your skin :).
Moisturizers -Neutrogena - Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Intensive Night Cream

I used up more than half of the tube before reviewing the product - so far it's been 2 months (applied once a night for the most part). I used it in conjunction with the Neutrogena Anti-Wrinkle SPF15 moisturizer that also contains retinol. I actually tried these products in the hopes that it would help a bit with my acne, but it did not seem to have any effect on acne - good or bad. As a moisturizer, it feels like a light lotion but does not dry to a powdery finish like the Anti-Wrinkle SPF15. As far as wrinkles go, I did not have any to begin with so I do not know if it was useful for that. It did seem to make my skin tone more even, though. I also believe it helped speed up my skin's healing process because my post-acne redness/scarring faded faster than prior to starting this product. Instead of the redness taking 6 months to heal substantially, it seemed to cut it down to maybe 1-2 months. It did not fade my sunspots/freckles, unfortunately. Overall, I think this is a decent product. Since my primary reason for use was to treat and prevent acne, and it did not help with that, there is no other reason for me to repurchase. But if I had to choose between this and the Anti-Wrinkle SPF15, I would pick the SPF15. This product is ~$8 more expensive and I don't feel it is any better than the cheaper Anti-Wrinkle SPF15 day moisturizer.
Moisturizers -Neutrogena - Healthy Skin Anti Wrinkle SPF 15

I used up the whole tube before reviewing the product - it lasted me a good 3 months (applied once a day for the most part). I used it in conjunction with the Neutrogena Intensive Night Cream that also contains retinol. I actually tried these products in the hopes that it would help a bit with my acne, but it did not seem to have any effect on acne - good or bad. As a moisturizer, it's very lightweight and non-greasy, drying to a powdery finish. It is not moisturizing enough to get rid of dry patches on your skin, though. Make sure you exfoliate before applying. I actually really like it as a daily SPF moisturizer because it does not leave me looking like a greaseball like a lot of the other SPF moisturizers. I tend to have an oily T-zone, but the oil production does not seem as bad after starting this product. Since I live in a warm climate, this moisturizer is perfect. However, when we had a few weeks/days of cold weather this product actually made my skin even drier. I had to supplement my routine at night with a thicker moisturizer to help with the dryness. Other than during colder weather, I did not experience flakiness or peeling due to the retinol. Overall, I think this is a great moisturizer for everyday use on oily combination skin.
Tinted Moisturizer -E.L.F. - Shielding Hydro-Tint SPF 15 in Tone 1

I bought this product in 2 different colors. The color and coverage were actually pretty good. Unfortunately, this product broke me out. I tried it on separate occasions and, sure enough, pimples sprouted the next day. Not worth it.
I was cursed with pretty serious dandruff all my life - nothing I tried ever worked. Head and Shoulders, Selsun Blue and even rubbing my scalp with baking soda did not help. Then one night I was browsing through MUA and noticed the reviews on Nizoral. The reviews convinced me to give it a try, and I am very grateful to this community! After 3 uses (every other day), my dandruff and itchy scalp pretty much disappeared. I stopped using it and switched back to my Dove shampoo. When I see early signs of flaking again, I wash once with Nizoral and it generally does the trick. To maximize effectiveness of Nizoral (or any anti-dandruff shampoo): - Do not use it continuously (3 times a week MAX) or the scalp will build resistance to that shampoo and your dandruff will come back. If that happens, you could try rotating to another anti-dandruff shampoo. - Leave it on the scalp for around 5-10 minutes (no more than that or it'll cause irritation) before rinsing to let it work into the skin. -Do not rewash your scalp with another shampoo (even though it's a lil stinky ><) because the residue left over from the Nizoral shampoo will allow it to be more effective. It doesn't have the greatest smell, and it does leave your hair somewhat dry. However, I find that following up with a conditioner helps with the dryness. I definitely recommend this product. I tried this product on two different occasions - 1st time was with crushed aspirin as a 30-minute mask.. which didn't really visibly help my mild, acne-prone skin. So I gave up on honey and aspirin completely. 2nd time was just recently. For the past few months, I had tiny, non-pimple bumps sprout all over my forehead! No acne medications worked on it. I tried scrubs and switching products to make sure it wasn't an allergic reaction, but nothing worked. One night, I was reading about honey and its anti-septic, anti-bacterial properties. So I decided to give it another try. I slathered honey all over my forehead and left it on overnight. And the next morning, to my surprise, it cleared up almost all of the bumps!!! I have also tried using it on top of fresh pimples overnight (it does rub off on my hair and pillow, unfortunately ><) and it does an awesome job reducing the redness and size of the pimple. I use the Walmart clover honey, US Grade A Pure. Great stuff, I hope it will always be this effective!
