I know Suave lotions are not heavy moisturizers. My mom has used suave lotion for years and her skin always feels very silky. I've always wanted to try it, but couldn't handle the scents, they are very strong. I found "Powder Fresh" recently, it has a very light baby powder scent that fades. It is a lovely light lotion, that gives my skin that silky feel my mom's has. Since the weather has warmed up a bit, my skin hasn't been so desert dry and this is doing a great job of moisturizing. Quite a surprise! I like it better than original jergans (and I've used that since forever) It was only $2 in the Christmas Tree Shop.

Liquid -FLOWER Beauty - About Face Foundation

I am so pleasantly surprised by this wonderful foundation! I like this better than my much loved L'Oreal Lumi. The color match is excellent, the finish is like natural skin, age related lines are not noticeable. It lasts all day, has light to medium coverage (you can apply a second layer easily) and there is no irritation or fragrance. So, if you have mature, sensitive skin, if you need a YELLOW foundation (there are pinkish ones too), you have to try this. I have light/medium yellow, olive skin and I have a nearly perfect match with the LF4. (The sample pictures below the display are not accurate for the LF4, it looks pinkish, but it is really very yellow) There is no mention of SPF on the bottle, but the ingredient label says may contain titanium dioxide. I can't find any info on the website. If anyone finds any information of SPF, please let me know. I will update if anything changes, but for now, my skin has never looked this good in any foundation (high or low end). I am really very pleased with this. Way to go Drew, I've always loved her movies. Pros: Excellent colors, wonderful for yellow skin Glass bottle with pump No fragrance, no irritation Beautiful application with fingers Natural finish No settling into fine lines Lasts all day No parabens Cons Only sold at Walmart

Concealers -L'Oreal - True Match Super Blendable Crayon Concealer

I really like concealer in stick form, so I bought this in w123. The color was to dark for me. Other than the darkness of the color, I did not feel this was very creamy as others have said. Returned due to wrong color and the product being much too dry. (yes, I used a good moisturizer first, but still no luck)

Lipstick -L'Oreal - Colour Riche Caresse Lipstick

These are my new favorite lipsticks. I look best in a sheer soft color, and these are perfect. Beautiful packaging, almost no scent to the product, very moisturizing, sheer pretty colors. You need to reapply often, not long wearing. Pros: Beautiful packaging Lots of colors Easy to find moisturizing almost no scent no feathering Cons: don't last very long overpriced at $9.99

Unfortunately I can't use this. It has very good coverage and staying power, it applies beautifully, but is much too matte for my older skin. Love the pump.

Palettes -FLOWER Beauty - Shadow play

Review for Smoke and Mirrors quad. I purchased this due to the good reviews of the other shadow quads, and because this had 3 mattes in it. The three matte colors are, creamy white (very chalky), medium brown and purple/gray. The fourth is a dark brown with gold shimmers. These look beautiful in the package and swatched on the hand. On the eyes, they are very sheer and the colors all look the same. A sheer neutral look that is nice, just not what was expected and not worth the cost of the shadows. They have no lasting power, maybe an hour at best, even with a primer, however the colors will be a bit more true using the primer. These are also extremely loosely packed and dusty. They can't be applied with a brush, when you touch the shadow you create a pile of loose shadow on the palette and brush/sponge. It falls all over the place. The more you blend, the more the color will disappear! Dabbing onto the lid with fingers or the sponge applicator gave the best results. I won't rebuy.

I'm so disappointed in this, I was expecting a good foundation from reading the reviews of those in my age group. First, this is not "super stay", did I get a bad/old bottle? This rubs off very easily on everything, also one gentle nose blow and it's totally gone! I also read conflicting reviews of the finish, and on me it is matte and more matte, and very dry looking even with heavy moisturizing. Color wise, even the warm tones run a bit too pink for me. Giving a 1 rating for mature skin with very yellow undertones. Returning the product.

Cleansers -Jergens - All-Purpose Face Cream

This is the time of year to take out your Jergens All-purpose Face Cream. I just purchased a new tub, I couldn't find it for a while, but Walmart has it again. Yes, this is called face cream, but it is absolutely the best skin moisturizer for your dry legs and arms in the winter! Give it a try after a shower, your legs and arms will be smooth and soft. Do use it on your face too, it's great for removing mascara and stubborn makeup. The first 3 ingredients are the same as cold cream: mineral oil, water, wax. It's less than $4 for 15 oz. It's made in the USA.

Edit 8-8-12 I am upping this to a full 5 rating. I have worn this everyday. It is probably one of the best foundations I've used in years. I might buy the lighter color and mix my own color for the winter. This foundation is not for young or oily skin, this is for dryer more mature skin. If you want full coverage do not buy this, it is light to medium coverage, which is perfect for me. My skin looks soft, smooth, younger (my lines are hardly noticeable). I have checked the foundation inside and outside under bright sunlight with my magnifying mirror, my skin looks great. Best of all, I don't look like I'm "wearing makeup". I also use it under my eyes and then apply my concealer, what a huge difference in my circles. Yes, I will rebuy. L'Oreal, please make a color between the first and second shades, please do not discontinue this lovely foundation! Original review: The only reason I have rated this a 4 and not a 5 is due to color selection. As others have said, there needs to be a shade between the first and second shades. I don't know if I would rebuy again due to this reason. I'm hoping L'Oreal will come up with the missing colors ASAP! I have very yellow skin, the W 1/2 is too light and the W3 too peachy/dark. However, since this can be sheered out easily and it is summer, I may keep it, it is a fantastic foundation! I get a full days wear from it (8 hrs) and a beautiful, natural finish that looks like my skin (except for the slight color difference) I agree with donnatd's review on this product!

Lipstick -Maybelline - 24 Hour super stay

9-11-12 Edit: I have used this lipstick for 3 months on and off. I've used less than 1/2 a tube, the liquid lip color portion has turned thick and goopy. I can no longer apply it properly, it goes on too heavy and uneven. Considering the cost and the amount of product used before going bad, I am very disappointed. It is still great to have a lipstick that stays on so well when you need it to. I would probably buy a new tube to keep on hand, but I am dropping my rating to a 3. Yes, these do take practice to get the application correct. You also need to wipe the applicator off on the tube edge or you will have way too much product and you won't have a neat lip line. There is no taste or odor. These may not last 24 hours, but if you need to go out and not have your lipstick transfer, smear, need reapplying etc, these are great and you will get hours of worry free wear. When the gloss wears off, your lips will feel dry, but not much worse than normal lips without balm. I'm very happy I tried these and yes I will rebuy.

I have passed this up for years and finally decided to give it a try during a sale. Wow, this is wonderful! I chose the natural/light. I use a moisturizer first. The coverage is excellent on my horrible purple circles! It lasts most of the day without touch up. It looks fabulous on my mature skin and doesn't magnify lines. I have also used it on my face where needed and can go without foundation if I like. This will give mod to heavy coverage, dot on a TINY amount and pat/blend quickly. It reminds me of the hard candy concealer only in the perfect color. Great squeeze tube with a good amount of product.

I'm very surprised with this and I like it very much. It applies so easily and quickly with my fingers. It covers my pores and rosacea quite well. I put off trying this since it came out, I couldn't get a good color match. The light category of colors are too pink on my yellow skin. I took a chance with the lightest of the mediums, number 210. It has a good amount of yellow to it. It does fade away a bit throughout the day, but it's not a real problem. Can be touched up easily. It is basically a tinted moisturizer/light foundation, and I like that. It is a much more natural look. You can't beat the price. Pros: Not much fragrance Applies beautifully hides pours and redness washes off very easily No irritation or breakouts very inexpensive can find it anywhere Cons: No pump

This is an excellent moisturizer with sunscreen. It leaves my skin well hydrated and soft. It causes no irritation to any areas of my face. There is only one con to this, the taste is horrible! So, I keep it away from my lips and wash my hands after using it. I'm surprised the rating for this isn't higher.

I have been using this for years and years. It is very gentle and removes makeup and my non waterproof mascara. It never stings my eyes or irritates my rosacea. It has been around forever. Yes, I will rebuy and rebuy. I don't know why I never reviewed it. Pros: No fragrance Gentle No taste Non irritating Non drying Large size bottle with pump Cons: None
