Eye Shadow -Mally Beauty - City Chick Smokey Eye Kit-Plum Chelsea

I have wanted this for over 5 years and am so mad I waited this long because it is my favorite right now. The palest shade is a slightly peachy pink, the middle shade is a sort of lavender-violet color, and the deepest isn't as dark as some of the pictures make it look. I use it along my lashline as I've seen Mally do and then apply her Black Velvet liner on top. I also used the darkest in the wedge blending out to the crease. The other purple is good for a paler crease shade and the pink is to die for with the 2 blended together. It made me look like I had it professionally done. I highly recommend this as purple is neutral enough for everyday.
I have a few of these so far & just ordered a couple more. I own Fantasy (a med. peach shade), Mally's Baby (the color of baby's natural cheeks), and Rose Flush (a deep rose). I can apply the first 2 easily and they last a long time, but the Rose Flush is a bit dark for my lighter skin tone. I have to apply that careful to go extra light, but it would be a natural looking blush tone for darker skin than mine, perhaps medium, tan & up. I have been having trouble with getting blush to look right lately & tried Mally and really like these. They blend easily & the shades I tried are not full of shimmer like some brands, though of the 3 I own, Mally's Baby has some slight shimmer. The others have even less, but not detectable on. She makes great shades for cheeks & plan to try more.

I think this would be a good choice if you use 1 eyeliner only daily and use it up fairly fast. I had one of these from a kit a year ago and without the wood or plastic around it tight like a pencil to keep the product from exposure to air, it dried up completely. I rolled it up & it was warped & dry. They are the same formulas as the pencil form and have 6 of those and have had no problems with the product drying up. I sharpen about once a month and would rather waste a little sharpening than the whole pen itself.
Eyeliner -Mally Beauty - Evercolor Starlight Waterproof Eyeliner - Black Violet

I own Black Cherry & it is one of my favorites so when I bought this I thought it would be different. Well, on the eye it looks the same so it looks like I just bought myself another Black Cherry. Applied thicker than I'd draw a lash line, on my hand, you can see it has a teensy bit more violet to it. That being said, I rated it a 4 since I like the color of Black Cherry more, but they are so close I wouldn't buy both unless you were running out of the other.
Blush -Smashbox - Blush/Soft Lights Duo in Passion/Shimmer

This would be a great deal for deeper skin tones. I am light and the shimmer is a bit too dark for my skin on its own= too dark for highlighting & too light for any contouring. Over (or under) the blush it is just so so. The color is a nice blush shade if applied lightly, but I have much more flattering colors. I also don't think these 2 colors chosen were the best to work well together when they could sell other options. Both of these are available separate in their regular line. It would be a great way to try 2 products, but would recommend for medium skin tones on up.
Lip Gloss -Tarte - LipSurgence Natural Lip Luster in Pouty

I like some of these lusters, but this one has more shimmer & seems to have larger particles left behind and sometimes you can see them right after applying, too. It is a fuschia color but I prefer Frisky (sheer hot pink) to this one that I plan to just give Pouty away. You have to put on less or it gathers in your lips in an odd way. I like to have enough on that it feels slick, but when I do this with this darkest pink they make that is when it slips into places on my lips. Too much large shimmer in this one it is not a keeper but it was free so I can't return it or I would have.
I actually received the wrong color by mistake and actually can't be happier! I got "Adore Me" which looks a little magenta in the tube. It goes on sheer with very faint micro shimmer which is hot pink and purple but it is so fine and few between that it looks like a sheer solid color on. It isn't at all like some of their regular line glitters with shimmer. You get a solid color from this. It is also more saran-wrap feel on the lips versus their regular line which feels more like moisturizing. It lasts a little longer as well. I haven't noticed any stickiness or scent. I'd like to try the nude pink Charm Me next. Update: I got Charm Me in and it is a nice pale pink shade. Very little nude so if you like some pink in your nude glosses this would be a great shade for you. A bit milky but doesn't make my lips lighter & the pink is slightly cool but leans more towards neutral on. Actually the color is so pale it looks like clear gloss on with few pink sprinkles but I do mean few, this isn't a shimmery gloss. It was a waste of money for me, I'd rather it look nude pink on my lips but it just adds shine only.
Ok, I'm about 20 years older than the other reviewer & bought this. I was searching for a more mature glitter & this behind blackish and the shimmer looked fine in the bottle and it was on clearance to boot. However, I'm feeling a little silly as the glitter looks much larger on and sort of choppy since you brush it on, some gets covered with polish and some of the glitter remains on top in chunk form. It does feel smooth on, so it isn't so bad. I just wouldn't buy anything with glitter from Nicole again and perhaps look for OPI DS instead personally. If I was younger, I might have more fun with this. UPDATE: this has grown on me, I've been having some nail issues lately and this is actually one of the best in covering ridges and other problems. I'll use it up & feel young wearing it :)
I have not liked the John Frieda Frizz-Ease conditioners, however I had a coupon to get this free if I bought their hair color foam. I really liked this! It was moisturising without the slick feel of silicones left behind although it contains them. It feels more soft than weighed down after my hair is dry. I see there is caramel in the ingredients, I would guess this is just for scent and color since the conditioner is a darker beige. I would doubt that it leaves any color behind though. The scent is slightly sweet but doesn't smell like the fruit candy trend that is going around which I can't stand, so I really liked this! (Nothing is worse than having hair that smells funny to you all day.) I like that this conditioner also has sweet almond oil and cocoa seed butter but they are towards the middle end of the list. I also like the tube stands on its cap so it will be easy to get out as I use it up.
Hair Color -John Frieda - Precision Foam Colour 4N Dark Natural Brown

I really liked this color. I had been using Revlon's #30 which left black in my hair so I went to the expense of buying bleaching powder and 20 developer to take it out and I started over with this and it was a good choice. It left only shades of dark brown and slightly brownish black but not at all the trouble I had before. If you are looking for a deep brown shade that is very dark, this may be for you. I found it was just slightly darker than the box so next time I may try the shade medium natural brown. I did like it was neutral with no red or purple tones at all. I loved the tube of deep conditioner & nice gloves and had no trouble with the foam pump myself. I just wish it was lower priced.
Hair Color -Revlon - Luxurious Colorsilk Buttercream Medium Brown

I had high hopes for this because I've used Revlon's hair color for the past couple years and liked their conditioner because it didn't smell like fruit candy. However, this did not cover my grey completely. I left it on 30 minutes on the roots (and 5 on the ends) & it did feel conditioned with the added 'butters' but it didn't cover my grey and that is the most important factor for me. What color it left was pretty, but darker than on the box. I usually go for dark brown but their regular line of the dark brown leaves black behind so I opted for medium brown. Still a little black was left behind but it wasn't as bad as their regular Colorsilk #30 dark brown leaves. Still enough to look for light brown next time around, if you were considering this. The mix took a long time to shake up as well after squeezing the thick tube contents into the liquid developer, but I made sure it was mixed well before applying. Perhaps all the conditioners kept it from taking well at the roots, so wouldn't buy again but I do like their regular line.
Eyeliner -Mally Beauty - Evercolor Starlight Waterproof Eyeliner - Black Cherry

I LOVE this shade! It's a perfect deep cherry color that isn't obvious colored liner. It is almost a dark purple shade with a little bit of sheen. I can't wear a lot of sheen being in my 40's due to crepiness of the eyelids and this is one I can wear. It is subtle colored liner yet deep & is so pretty!

Sorry Mally, I don't like the sheen this one has. I need a flat color for my crepiness on my lids. I know it isn't metalic but if this was a flat navy I'd buy it again.
Palettes -Laura Geller - Dream Creams Lip Palette Berry
SavvyChic 2/14/2013 9:02:00 PM
I put that I'd buy this again, but probably not this color set. I do like the colors, it is just that the formula is very frosty making it look dated. Not really much shimmer just a lot of pearl effects, except the darkest berry shade is just opaque. I have also tried Como in the Dream Creams Lip Palette but that was very different than this one that I didn't keep it (very gloss like with hardly any pigment at all) so I'd look for the Dream Creams in the black cases just from past experience.
Mine is called Banana Split, it has the French Vanilla highlighter as I was looking for; one that has very little sheen to it. I can use this around & under my eyes without shimmer so it's my new favorite. The rose pink strip is a great blush color on it's own but it is a little hard to swipe your brush just on the middle portion. he center pink portion is completely matte and very pigmented, too. The other, I wish I knew what it was, but it looks like an apricot shade with golden shimmer (I bought it from a seller in amazon.com who divided a kit so I don't have the box with the names) I like the options to use each separately or mix both shades of blush together. I recommend getting this because you are bound to like at least one of the colors in the compact.
